Sam was totally committed to selling our house from start to finish & never gave up. Our contact in the office in Sam’s absence was Abby, she was so efficient and chased our sale when required and kept us updated, all with a smile on her face. Any queries we had were answered. We certainly felt the personal touch, we weren’t just a file to them. We would happily recommend them to anyone wishing to sell their home and also to anyone wishing to buy one too. GoogleWe recently used Newby James for the sale of a property, and purchase of another. We cannot fault the service that was provided. Everyone we dealt with were incredibly professional, well informed and proactive. We hit a couple hiccups, beyond the agents control, during our selling and buying process but they handled everything extremely well. Communication was excellent! Sam, Garry, Georgia and Abbey made us feel really secure and well looked after from start to finish; we felt respected and valued, and no question was too much or too daft. We couldn’t have wanted or asked for more from our experience.

GoogleSam Newby did an excellent job selling our house on the Trinity Fields site. We do not think our sale would have progressed without his perseverance. Sam overcame several obstacles, such as very slow conveyancing work and high demanding non negotiating buyers, who ' broke the chain' and left 2 days between exchange and completion dates for us to find a removal company and a rental property in our dream location of Edinburgh. The purchaser's lawyers did not start work for a month and then continued really slowly and if had not been for Sam' s determination this transaction would have also fallen through. Sam was pro-active in always showing people around, checking chains, contacting lawyers and nothing was too much trouble. We were always met with a smiley face by his colleagues Gary, Georgia and Abbi . They were also very friendly in greeting us ,responding to our queries and making us cups of tea in his conveniently located plush office in Market Square, Knaresborough market square. My wife and i have moved house 6 times and have used mainly several larger estate agents, in the past. We heard about Sam from a friend, whom he helped move onto Trinity Fields. We have never regretted appointing him for one moment. Newby James were by far the best, friendliest and most helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending Sam. The personal attention that we received from Sam was well worth the money.

GoogleWe recently viewing a house for sale with Newby James, their agent Garry was superb. It made such a change to meet with an agent who was not only knowledgeable about the local area but who was honest too - a rare trait in estate agents these days! If I had a property to sell I would definitely be using them rather than one of the larger agents as I feel they would provide a more personal and thorough service.

GoogleThe whole experience of dealing with Newby James has been fantastic. Dealing with Sam for the sale of my Mum's home has been brilliant. Sam is a great guy, always extremely helpful and enthusiastic. He kept me in the loop at all times from the initial enquiry to viewings, offers and completion. This is by far the best experience I've had dealing with estate agents. Sam is a credit to the business and to the Knaresborough business community. For any future sales or purchases I will only be using Newby James.

GoogleJust completed the purchase of our new home in Yeadon, Leeds through this estate agents. Sam and his team have been excellent throughout the whole purchase with great communication. We were the purchasers but it still felt like a very personal service. They even left biscuits, chocolates and sweets for us in the property upon completion. Can't fault anything. GoogleNewby James had allowed me to put an offer forward under false information. I was assured on several occasions I had outside parking and it only came to light I didn't weeks away from exchange of contracts. I had no option but to withdraw my offer as I was misinformed. I then received a very unprofessional email from Newby James and no offer to assist with solicitor fees for something that was ultimately their mistake.
