GoogleI can’t agree more with the previous comments. Iain and his team helped me with a difficult sell in this uncertain period: even though it was a small, ex-Council flat, so the reward for them was far below other properties on their books, they didn’t give up on it nor do I believe under-sell it just to get a deal through at any price. They run a tight ship - always responsive, courteous, professional.The total opposite of the negative stereotypes everyone has heard about estate agents. Shame I’m not moving into this area!

GoogleCharlie Cunningham-Reed was an estate agent like no other that I have come across in 40 years of buying and selling houses. He was dedicated to helping us to cross the “t” s and dot the “I” s and encouraged all three sets of solicitors to speed things up. We exchanged contracts in three weeks and is due to complete in a month from receiving the offer. That really is a great result and we highly recommend him and his enthusiastic attitude to get the job done . Well done Charlie! All credit to you for getting the job done !

GoogleI have previously used brands that I was more familiar with in the area so It was slightly by chance that I ended up trying Chesterton’s to sell my father’s flat. I have been unexpectedly pleased and impressed by the service. It was very professional, but far more than that, they almost instantly found a buyer in a difficult market and the other standout was the way Iain and Charlie went out of their way time and again to provide an extra level of service, often going out of their way to help my father. I very much recommend the Notting Hill office.

GoogleHad a fantastic experience with Chestertons Notting Hill. Julia was absolutely fantastic, we really couldn't haven gotten a nicer, more helpful person to show us around different properties. We dealt with quite a few different estate agents on our apartment hunt and none of them did a better job than Chestertons. We were moving to the UK, which made it a much more complicated process. Julia and her co-workers made the process so easy and simple and really made us feel comfortable with our move. Can't highly recommend her and her team enough. We defo will be using them again for our next move.

Renting out a flat through them. Pros - they offer a comprehensive service, found tenants quickly and replied to messages promptly.Cons - terrible customer service. Alina was condescending, brusque and incapable of giving a straight answer. So unpleasant and frustrating having to deal with her that once the current tenants contract is up I will find another letting agent. If they’re this rude to me, the person paying them commission, I worry about how polite they are to the tenants.

As a Landlord we find that more than once they have paid rent owed to us to another persons account. Instead of instantly just paying us the outstanding money owed to us, they tell us they need to talk to the person whose account the wrongly credited. This should not be relevant to us. This is their error and they need to sort it immediately.As we pay a management fee, we should be able to expect a professional service. Disappointing and inconvenient!

TrustpilotNo deposit return after over 2 months
The people who work here couldn't care less that we don't have our deposit back over 2 months after moving out of the property. We have had to borrow money to pay our rent at our new property and I have contacted the agency via phone and email at least twice a week since we moved out. They have confirmed there are no deductions to the deposit, but don't have any intention of releasing the money. I would strongly advise you do not use Chestertons if you are considering renting a property, they are unhelpful and completely unresponsive.

Extremely poor service. When questioned, they were poor to respond generally and when they did they were arrogant and dismissive. I engaged their services to manage my flat rental and they changed 5 agents who were supposed to be my point oif contact within the first 6 months. When I decided to change agents I asked for reassurance that they would facilitate a smooth transition. They flatly refused to do so instead stating that they would fulfil their contractual obligations. It has been the most frustrating experience that I have ever had as a Landlord. The whole idea of getting them to manage was to reduce my workload and stress yet they caused the exact opposite. If you are a small landlord, they are not interested as they are a big corporate, despite their empty reassurances otherwise. Avoid Chestertons at all costs for managing your property as it seems that ther is high staff turnover so continuity will be poor.

Terrible experience with on-going property relationship with Chestertons Fulham, please avoid carrying business with this branch.Before signing a rental contract, the staff was always helpful, smiley and responsive. After signing the contract, I have been switched to a huge void, a non-responsive department that does not answer the phone (I tried calling 5 times and leaving my phone number), usually responds emails in 3 business days, and does not solve anything for tenants. In my first day of tenancy, there were 3 contractors renovating the fllor in the kitchen and I was not able to move in on my first day. It has been 4 weeks since I found out that the washing machine is completely out of service (they did not check that before securing the contract, of course), and basically there is no resolution so far. Again, please avoid this company/branch.

I used Chestertons to help find and rent my current property and their service was below poor. They failed to prepare the property prior to our move in date, despite pushing the date back to ready the flat and when we arrived to a filthy flat they were completely offline and unresponsive. In addition they offered compensation that they were not entitled to offer then informed us we were wrong to be compensated. Horrific agents and I would never use them again nor recommend them to anyone else. If you are thinking of using Chestertons, please seriously reconsider.
