GoogleFirstly I would like to thank Susan and the team at Galbraiths for making the process of selling my house easy and stress free. I know they are not the cheapest but they are the best as I have dealt with the other local estate agents before and not been good. So if you want to sell your house quickly get these guys you won't be disappointed.

GoogleI am currently in the process of renting from Galbraith. The process of securing a viewing was very smooth and after we were accepted the property manager Susan has been very helpful, responsive and communicative - a real asset to Galbraith. I can't speak for ongoing communication and support during the tenancy as we are just about to move in. The only negative and why it loses a star is their third party referencing tool. One improvement would be for Galbraith to instruct this supplier not to be as consistent with its upselling of various products (Insurance, Internet supply, home moving removals etc). They have called and emailed me several times over the last few weeks trying to sell various services to me despite repeating that I was not interested. Overall however - a smooth, communicative and helpful experience from Galbraith.

GoogleI've been letting my property in the Borders through Galbraith for 8 years and when the tenants recently moved out, Galbraith have run a successful sales process for me. The staff at Galbraith have been excellent on both sides of the business - quick to respond, knowledgeable and very helpful with any information I needed. The letting was always successful - no void periods and tenants who stayed for a number of years. On the sales side, we were able to go from the tenants moving out through a marketing process and then a closing date within less than a month. The team in Kelso have done a consistently great job for me.

GoogleI forgot to write this review from our experience last year. But we viewed houses with these lot and the customer service was horrendous. We called to say we would like to apply to take a house and did so, they never called back to let us know if we got it or not despite saying they would and us calling three times over a few weeks to find out they kept saying we will let you know and never did. My father had a similar experience. This might be one of the worse estate agents in Scotland. All while we had our own family emergency to tend to with our young child in hospital and these useless idiots couldn’t get back to us or give us a straight answer.

GoogleExcellent service. Went from scoping discussion to having our place tenanted within the space of 4 days, which included a bank holiday weekend! Susan was super helpful with all our questions and found us the perfect fit of tenant when we weren’t even on the market, then turned round the paperwork for us within a day! Couldn’t have asked for better, would 100% recommend.

GoogleCurrently renting through Galbraith's. Unfortunately I have to deal with Rhona Rae at the Kelso office. She is easily confused, completely overwhelmed with the simplest of tasks, and constantly interrupts. When you ask her not to interrupt that's abuse according to her, so be super nice and let her talk all over you.

FacebookYvonne was really helpful and replied very quickly to all our emails. Even through the lockdown, we were able to view a flat. We live in the same building as a flat we are interested in so Susan came over and unlocked the door for us, then waited downstairs until we finished viewing the flat. Susan and Yvonne have been lovely and helpful.

FacebookAs of tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since i moved into a Galbraith property. This will also mean it has been 3 weeks without heating. We reported that the heating wasnt working the day after we moved in, it then took 5 days for someone to come to look at our 20+ year old boiler. Since then nothing has been done to fix our heating and i have to contact them about updates rather than the other way around. It is a disgrace that we have had to live without heating for 3 weeks and they have done next to nothing to help us. Also our carbon monoxide alarm doesn't work which was noted on their inventory but they still haven't bothered to fix it. So far it has been a terrible experience trying to deal with Galbraith. I would only recommend Galbraith to people who like to see their breath in their flat, people who think that frost on the inside of their windows is a nice decoration and those who are immune to carbon monoxide poisoning .

FacebookAfter viewing a house and being offered it from the landlord we were very happy until we went into store to file paper work.... Where the lady "helping" us ended up in a conversation on the phone saying negative things. I got that gut feeling she was talking about us. Which in my opinion is wrong while you are able to hear. Later on we are told we can no longer have the property. Not only did we get told we couldn't they lied to us and told us a false reason. And I know it was false because we spoke with the landlord. Surly a professional company should be honest. If they can lie about something so small what else are they capable off. Judgmental. Awful customer service. Wouldn't let or buy through them.
