I was shown a property by Neil. He made the whole experience really great because he was transparent and realistic about both my position and what would suit my budget. He didn’t try to sell or convince me to into anything that wasn’t aligned with me. He understood that I was in a difficult position and he showed me empathy and kind regard. ​I cannot recommend Geering & Collyer enough! As first-time buyers, my partner and I were naturally nervous about the moving process, but the team made everything so much easier to understand. ​A massive shout-out to Aston, who was truly instrumental in getting us to the finish line. Our solicitors were an absolute nightmare to deal with, but Aston stepped in and managed the communication brilliantly, taking a huge weight off our shoulders. He even gave us his direct number and was available at any time to answer our (many!) questions, which provided us with so much peace of mind. ​Angela was also fantastic right from the start. she was so helpful in arranging our initial viewings and acted as a great bridge between us and the sellers, making the entire transition into our new home seamless. ​If you’re looking for an estate agent that actually cares and goes above and beyond, look no further. Arg is the man to go to if you’re looking for a mortgage advisor/broker. He has been incredible from the day we met him, his dedication and support throughout the process has been amazing. Was offered a viewing appointment. Was advised by Angela that it would be with her. A few hours before the viewing I received a call from John who initially addressed me as Kirsty when he answered the phone? John was advising it would be with the Vendor and not Angela. This made me feel uncomfortable as Estate Agents and meant to be the mutual aid between two parties and right to privacy should be respected. However, when I politely suggested that this would make me feel this way, I was challenged by John and they asked ‘Why, this is standard practice’ - I have never been to see a property without an agent there and this made me feel as though I was deemed as an improper buyer with little credibility. I don’t think I needed to explain myself in this case. Communication not accurate and unprofessional in my opinion - really disappointing as the house I liked in Templeside Dover looks awesome. However, I will not go with an incompetent agent out of principal. Hopefully the seller re-advertises through another provider.
