I am a client of 2 Dexters branches

I am a client of 2 Dexters branches. One works very well because there is an individual who can take responsibility and get things done. 5 stars. At the other branch, I have no single contact and when I call the letting branch they say maintenance is not their responsibility (despite being the managers) and I am referred to the property management people (not sure where they are located ) but then still no single person takes responsibility. It can be a very trying experience finding someone who will actually do anything to help

Dexters Property Management

Dexters have been fully managing our property since August have done a great job. We, unfortunately, had a major leak that damaged the property all the way from the top floor to the lower ground floor, and this was just five days before the new corporate client was supposed to move in. The team too swift action to get the house ready for the tenant to live in while the longer term damage could be repaired. They even worked with our insurance company to process the claim. It has been a very stress free (despite the extent of the damage) and hands off experience for us. We are very pleased we handed over the management of our property to Dexters.

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters…

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters again after an initial incident where pure profit over people made me wish I never encountered them, but I loved the look of a place being advertised and couldn't help but at least attempt to see if it was right for me. In the end not only was it a "bait and switch" the property being advertised was already off the market but I 1- got inedadted with irrelevant properties in my inbox 2- was stood up at a viewing that was scheduled and 3 had all of my communication preferences ignored. I won't fall again for the trickery and horrificly unprofessional conduct of Dexters again.

Completely ghosted by an agent after we had already started looking at properties together. Tried to follow up via phone and email multiple times, no reply. A simple email saying „this property isn’t available anymore“ or whatever the reason might be is simply the professional thing to do, and it’s not hard. Will not be contacting them again for my next home search!

Dexters got me excellent tenants in no time, there was only one week between the previous tenants leaving and the current tenants arriving! But I particularly appreciate the management of the tenancy agreement that they provide: Thank you, Myra, for your excellent inspections and for providing me with the right contacts whenever a problem arises. It matters to have confidence in an agent who is always responsive to the needs of the landlord and the tenant. I would recommend Dexters for both finding suitable tenants and for efficiently managing the ensuing agreement.

We had a terrible experience working with Dexters Islington. They charged us a management fee of 15% per month, had hidden costs, were very disorganized, and had poor quality contractors. For example, the most recent door they installed cost me £640, had very poor build quality, and I had to constantly chase them to get it sorted. To make matters worse, the old door was even dumped in the garden. During check-out, Dexters lost a set of keys and told me to sort it out at my own expense, even though they were responsible for managing the property. When we asked them to explain how they lost the keys, they simply said they forgot to ask for them, and implied that it was the landlord's responsibility to check for these things, even though they managed the check-out. We've already reached out to customer service directly and tried to email their MD, but the issues have not been resolved. To top it off, the door they installed remains unfixed and the issues with the missing keys have not been addressed. We're now going through the process of trying to re-claim costs from my deposit with Dexters, and should it not work, we will have to seek further legal action as we believe it will be down to their negligence. Dexters managed to irritate both the landlord and the tenants. We even had to start interacting with the tenants directly, and travelled from abroad to check the property - as Dexters failed to do so. I would not recommend Dexters Islington to anyone looking for a reliable and professional letting agency.

As a tenant, I would like to commend Bryan Crail (Bloomsbury Office) on his communication, problem solving and attention to detail in property management. Recently, following a planned visit to the property, we have identified a number of issues that had to be repaired. Bryan clearly and promptly communicated with the landlord as well as myself. He was able to professionally negotiate and quickly find the solutions to these problems, while keeping the interests of both the tenant and landlord in mind. Great work!

In a word it is the personal attention…

In a word it is the personal attention that my wife and I get from Natasha Bedenik. Our properties are managed from two different offices and tasks delegated to different people, accounts, letting, maintenance. With people standing in during absences at times, we get messages from about 9 different people and at times there are inconsistencies. For us the answer is to ask Natasha . Starting mid-August this year there was confusion amongst staff and estate management companies sending notices and invoices inconsistently to Dexters or directly to us such that some invoices were overlooked. Natasha sorted it out and now it seems to be running smoothly
