It started when a friend's flat was passed to Dexters. I was dealing with this matter and met Christian Pengally the Lettings manager. He was cheerful and helpful throughout and even managed to get the owners deposit back despite the difficulties due to the tenant passed away. Will not hesitate to recommend him and Dexters.

A horrible experience

A horrible experience. Dexters arranged a viewing for us at the property when the previous tenant’s furniture was still in the flat. There was serious damp damage on the wall linings behind that furniture. They did not disclose this even though they were aware of a serious leak in the building and then failed to acknowledge their gross marketing practice. We made an offer. On the first day of our tenancy we discovered the damp on the walls, faulty electrics, faulty heating units and mold on the window blinds. Beware of trusting them

Great customer service!

I moved into my new property on the 20th December 2022, just before Christmas which is a hectic time for everybody! However, with the assistance of Dexters (especially Bill) they have made my move very smooth and hassle free. Bill has been nothing but helpful, proactive and attentive. He has gone above and beyond to answer all of my questions and always gets back to me when he says he will (a lot of people don’t!). Bill has (and will continue to I’m sure) provided me with excellent customer service.

I had a pretty good experience dealing with Dexters Islington on a flat I recently rented. Everything from the viewing to getting the keys went smoothly. Jude Hill went out of his way to ensure my offer was put in immediately after the viewing and was prompt in arranging the tenancy thereafter. My one qualm was that Jude was occasionally a bit too hasty in answering my questions and ended up giving me inaccurate information (e.g. about the energy provider at the property or bike storage options). Nothing of serious consequence, but it was a bit of a hassle because I had no direct contact with the landlord at that stage. I possibly had too many questions since I am new to renting in the UK and overall Jude was very patient with guiding me through the processes. I certainly found Dexters a reliable and competent agency to work with and I'm very pleased with the flat I've found through them.

As a buyer, I found the wide majority of estate agents see their role as opening and closing the door of flats. Or worse, flooding your email with irrelevant online listings using filters even broader than websites. In this context, I have to say Abel at Dexters really stood out as a real pro (which prompts me to write this review) , who knows the market, shares expertise and advice, and really aims to know and remember what you're looking for to match you with the right properties. Although in the end the flat I bought wasn't advertised by Dexters, I would not hesitate to recommend Abel for buyers and sellers.

Outstanding estate agents! When I chose to go with Dexters to sell my flat I’d lost faith in estate agents and that my flat would ever sell. Dexters charged a little more commission than other agents but was worth every penny. Karen and her team have been excellent right from the start. My flat was under offer within weeks.
