I would recommend being cautious if using this estate agent, or avoiding them altogether. My partner rented a property through them and the house itself was as described, with no issues that were their fault. However, before she vacated the property, the landlord (who is also a director of the agency) arranged for a gardener to carry out work without informing her that someone would be accessing the property. They then attempted to deduct the cost from her deposit, despite no prior discussion or agreement. When this was challenged, the full deposit was released, but no apology was given. Additionally, the landlord/director made a disclosure about my partner to her family, who are known to them, which was below the professional standard you would expect. Based on this experience, I would advise caution when dealing with this agency.

We had a great experience with this agency. The whole process was smooth and straightforward, and they genuinely listened to what we needed. Since we were moving from another city to Ipswich, it could have been stressful, but they were so kind and understanding throughout. They really went out of their way to accommodate our requests, which made a big difference.

I cannot recommend this letting agent enough. From my enquiry on Rightmove to the viewing, then agreeing a letting, and moving in, I have only experienced incredible customer service and professionalism. Tom facilitated the viewing, as well as dealing with my enquiries and passing over the keys and paperwork. He is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I also appreciated the additional customer service touches, which in my view set this letting agent above normal expectations. The whole process was managed by an online portal "Vouch", which dealt with all the paperwork, references, deposit and first month rent, as well as setting up utilities and internet. I also received a "Home Move Box", which contained vouchers and discounts for purchasing new stuff for the property, as well as a few small gifts, such as coffee bags, cocktail cans, washing powder sachet, hand wash etc. I personally found this very hart warming, as it was like a welcome gift for moving somewhere new. I can summarise to say that the whole experience was efficient, friendly and beyond what I traditionally would expect from a letting agent. Thank you Tom, Goddard & Co.
