GoogleVery poor communication. Made offer at asking price yet Dacres didn't keep vendors informed and I had to intervene personally to stop others viewing and buying. My purchase has been delayed since end of October because new build ( being sold by Dacres ) is not fit for signing off. Have yet to get a completion date.. Not a word from Dacres since mid December! Am only glad they are not dealing with my sale!

The sale you refer to was being dealt with through another office. We can see you made an offer for the property to the Ilkley Office on the 4th Sept and this was passed to the correct office immediately. For some reason it took until the 18th of Sept for you to confirm proof of funding and you will appreciate that we have to protect our clients position and cannot mark a property as ‘under offer’ until we are reasonably certain that a proposed buyer can proceed. Whilst we recognise and value your custom we are duty bound to act in our client’s best interests.
With regard to our client’s onward purchase, this was within a major mill redevelopment and unfortunately the complexity of the scheme and nature of the build programme is such that completion of the scheme has been difficult to pin down. This is beyond our control and we have passed on as soon as possible the limited updates we have received.

FacebookWe began the process of purchasing a house in Yeadon and had a full building survey done. Unfortunately it flagged serious damp issues deep throughout the entire gable wall and basement. The sellers actually had numerous portable heaters plugged into the basement when he visited to try to dry out the walls. We shared the entire survey with Dacres at their request and weren't happy with the offer to review the price as the scale of work needed was massive. When we walked away the agent confirmed he was disappointed but could completely understand having looked at the survey results. Well low and behold it was shortly on the market for the same price. A couple of months later another sale fell through, undoubtedly after the buyers also paid hundreds for a survey this agency already held. The property has now sold for the original asking price, needing tens of thousands of pounds of building repair work, and this company deliberately concealed that information for profit. I don't know how their behaviour is legal. I'd strongly recommend paying the extra money for a full building survey if you're buying from here. Who knows what they're not telling you.

My solicitor paid their bill the day it was provided but I was shocked to receive intimidating emails from them threatening legal action because THEY had fraudulently forgotten/did not add the VAT. I lost money getting funds from long term investments because of their incompetence.
