Exemplary Service from Start to Finish! From our very first interaction to the final completion, the team at Leonards provided a truly exceptional experience. Having previously dealt with several other local agents for viewings, I can confidently say that none matched the warmth and professionalism found here. Both receptionists I spoke with during my home purchase wereincredibly kind and helpful. The Sales Manager was a standout as she was consistently brilliant and proactive in keeping me updated at every milestone - First time buyer so this was very much appreciated! For viewings they were remarkably accommodating, allowing me to revisit the property several times after my offer was accepted without any hesitation to take measurements and look at further bits and pieces etc. Another thing I want to highlight is their feeling of personal touch. Unlike the more corporate feel of the other agencies int he local area, Leonards made me feel like a priority rather than just another transaction. I cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone looking to buy or sell a property, especially if like me they are a first time buyer.

I recommend Leonards to anyone looking to sell their house. They are professional and diligent and have great local knowledge. I had an older, empty, slightly quirky property to sell, and Leonards did a great job for me. They offered good advice on how to present the house and the initial price point attracted loads of viewings. Leonards showed prospective buyers round on my behalf and gave me great feedback based on viewers' comments. The market went through a quiet patch, but Leonards were always on the case. We eventually found a price point that brought the offers in, and between the offer being accepted and completion they rang me at least weekly to keep me up to date on the progress of surveys, legal matters and so on. Sue Nixon was my main point of contact throughout, but Graham, Bridget and other members of the team also helped. The were all fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them all. Extremely disappointed with Leonadrs lettings team. Viewed a property last Wednesday (10th April), we completely fell in love with the place. Called later on in the day to express our interest, was told to fill in a pre application form (not an actual application form). We have since then followed this up with calls, to be told its in front of the manager. Monday evening, sent an email asking if there was any update. Nothing! Called again today Wednesday (17th April) to be told that they have had an accepted application form! Why were we not given the same opportunity to apply? All that was said today was that the decision was only made today and someone should of called to say we were unsuccessful! Why is is so hard to communicate properly with your customers?!

I purchased a property at auction which Leonard's were the agents for. From the outset, it was quite clear that the auctioneer had favourites in the room, making comments to one individual by name: "do you want this one *NAME*?" during the bidding process. Presumably this was a regular purchaser at their events. This did not come across as impartial or professional in the slightest. The attitude of some of the staff at the auction was quite unfriendly, to the point that my partner was quite upset. Another buyer at the auction, like myself younger than the majority of the attendees, seemed to draw flack from the staff present. The staff were generally disorganised: when attending the auction I was told that they did not have copies of my documents and identity checks, despite dropping these off at their office and watching them be photocopied less than 24h before. On signing the contract, I informed Leonard's I was waiting for a final confirmation from my conveyancer, and that this would take 48 hours, and requested that they give me time to sort this. Of course, Leonards first course of action was to call me multiple times and send multiple emails to me, despite me repeatedly telling them that the matter was in hand and they would have the details of my conveyancer within 48h. The funniest part of this was that when I had sent the details and was waiting for Leonards to contact me back with confirmation, I received a call from an extremely rude and condescending member of their staff, who I believe is named Sue, who did clearly did not check her emails before calling me. When I pointed out that I had sent her the conveyancing details directly to her work email before Leonards had even opened for the day, these "hadn't come through until just now" while we were on the phone (or she just hadn't checked). Following the auction, before completion, I went to look at the property and check it was secure. I found that a member of staff from Leonard's had left the back door unlocked and open. When I called the office to inform them, the response from the member of staff I spoke with was dismissive, and amounted to "we will send someone if we have time". After several further calls, a member of staff attended the property and declared that the back door had been "forced open". I have experienced estate agents talking nonsense, but nothing of this magnitude: the force required to prise open the multipoint PVC doors would have been enough to rip the door from its hinges, and at the very least damage the PVC. On checking after completion, there is no damage of any kind to the door. The balance of probabilities says that it is more likely that the member of staff doing viewings was incompetent, and failed to secure the property appropriately. The common theme with all of my and my partner's interactions with this company has been condescension and rudeness when speaking with their members of staff, despite making the agents aware that as a family we have a portfolio of properties already. Whether this is deliberate, or some kind of bias against younger people I do not know, but I was made to feel extremely unwelcome throughout the process. The only redeeming factor that I can think of for Leonard's is that they had a friendly dog in their office when I dropped off my identity documents. I would strongly suggest to any potential buyer or seller to avoid this company.

Had an emergency this Christmas day with the plumbing and had water all over the downstairs floor. After a quick call to Leonards (at 8pm on XMAS EVENING!) the team sprung into action and I had a plumber round in an hour!!!
