GoogleWere very happy with every aspect of house sale of a relatives estate from start to finish. Sale price matched initial estimate, great comms, professionalism, advice and help with interim issues relating to purchase. Would recommend and very happy to use again if required.

GoogleViewed an apartment in Seapark this week. I was told there was an offer of £210, 000 on it and the vendor would probably accept £215,000 for it. I went home after the viewing at the end of the working day and decided to put in a cash offer the next morning. Whilst showing the property to a builder that evening online it was marked “Agreed” I thought there must be some mistake . When I hadn’t heard anything from the agent by lunchtime (not even a courtesy call) I rang John Minnis. Mr Minnis seemed to think this was acceptable. I feel sorry for the vendor as I was happy to top this offer but the agent didn’t give me the opportunity. Mr Minnis said he would take my offer now but I had lost all taste with this very unprofessional practice.

GoogleRecently sold a house in North Down through Holywood Branch and could not fault them and Branch Manager Emma. They were on the ball from start to finish and looked after photography, cleaning, all viewings and the sales process. I found them well organised and professional and I would recommend

GoogleWe just rented our house via John Minnis agency. Initially all looked good but then, John Minnis contract electrician concluded that all electrical wiring are incorrect and require full house rewiring. This is for the house that we purchased from John Minnis just 5 years ago and all was up-to standard that time. After number of emails, electrician accepted to issue certificate based on fuse box and some sockets replacement. As he proceeded with the job he left mess behind him. The answer we received from John Minnis that this is normal....... Be warned and stay away. They're number of agents who could do a better customer service.

GooglePoor experience selling with John Minnis. Didn't feel they did enough to actually sell the house and get the right viewers through the door in numbers, once sale agreed I didn't feel they kept on top of the case well enough and were poor in communicating with the various parties involved. My case turned out to be a difficult one given unique circumstances of covid, which is obviously beyond the control of JM but the issues are not solely related to that. Every time I rang I always seemed to be told "I was just about to call you". We randomly had our main contact in the office changed halfway through. Every time I spoke on the phone I would get talked over rather than listened to. Overall just did not feel like a valued customer, it's probably a different experience if you're selling a £1m property. My case was eventually escalated to John Minnis himself, which I did appreciate speaking to him, however some of the information given to me buy him turned out to be inaccurate and the conversation was not followed up with an email as promised. There are less expensive solicitors out there who will potentially offer you a better value for money service. Giving 1 star would be unfair, as when push came to shove they did do some good work but only when things were at absolute breaking point. Overall disappointing experience with a name that is so well respected in the area. Hopefully my case was a one off and others have a far better time with them.

GoogleI sold a landmark listed building with John Minnis which was actually a very specialised, niche property. I had engaged other estate agents previously who ranged from useless to downright dodgy. I found the staff at John Minnis capable of a challenge, professional and friendly and above all completely honest. Highly recommended. In fact, having been through most of them they are the only estate agents I could recommend.
