We made an offer on a house that was managed by this agency. Weeks later, after not removing the advert, we were told a higher offer had come in (we had been gazumped) and that the seller would accept it unless we matched the offer. After taking time to consider our options we agreed to match the higher offer, only for the seller to accept the new bid. This agency allows gazumping to happen and will involve themselves in a private auction to benefit the seller. Be warned.

We have been tenants in a flat managed by Hamptons and have been very happy with the service that they - Ellie Marsters in particular - have provided thus far. Ellie is very responsive, well-organized and professional. Worth saying that we have not gotten to the deposit withdrawal phase, which several reviews complain about. But, so far, so good.

Hamptons managed a 12-month rental of my property whilst I was abroad. From the first meeting with Andrew who visited my property intially, it was a pleasure dealing with them. They were clear, prompt to reply to questions and very helpful on the whole process which put my mind at rest - especially as I was not going to be in the country!The daily management with Minneaux and then Natalie could not have been better and nothing was too much trouble.I thank them for their professional attitude and helpful manner and would recommend their service without hesitation.

Having moved into the property he has been a fantastic property manager who seems to genuinely care that his clients get the best possible service. Sometimes beautiful flats or houses are in the hands of terrible agents; be careful! As tenants, they only come to you when they need you to do something. You can hardly contact any of them when you are looking for help.The renting agent ghosted after all documentation was done, leaving me a flat with much to fix. When moving out, they were supposed to contact me in advance for at least 24 hours, but most did not. They told me the people I hired for end-of-tenancy cleaning were not professionals (because I wasn't using one of their business partners) and had the inventory clerk go in before the cleaning was done; they allowed people to move around your items when they were doing the viewing.

2-3 years after leaving the property, myself and my former flatmates still receive calls, emails, texts about works to the property, updates etc. Despite multiple complaints and requests for this harassment to stop, yet it continues. They were an absolute disaster when I was in the property with delayed and mismanaged works being the norm. I would strongly urge anyone considering using them to have a look elsewhere, if they can't even update tenant details 2 years after our departure they can hardly be competent?

Joe and the team at Hamptons have been incredibly responsive and helpful. We moved into our flat in August and there have been a couple issues but Joe has always been on top of them and really responsive. This is our first flat in the UK and we had very little knowledge going in so their assistance has been amazing.

Hamptons is a friendly and helpful estate agency. I am renting an appartment from them. The post rental support and exceptional. Each time there is a problem with the place, it gets attended to super quickly. Especially Lucy is highly responsive and organises to get things done quickly and also double checks with me to ensure resolution.

I’ve booked one viewing with Hamptons and have been spammed ever since. I never signed up for their mailing list, and have repeatedyl unsubscribed but keep receiving their mails. I have even emailed them to request that they remove my details from their data base, and I’ve called, but I simply receive no response or actions. I will be reporting them as this is a GDPR violation.

No hot water for 3 weeks!!The level of urgency in Hamptons is shambolic. We have been without hot water for 3 weeks now and seem to be no closer to a resolution.Hamptons only hire cheap contractors, who attend your property and leave within 2 minute as they have no clue what they are doing.The level of communication from Hamptons is arguably non existent. All we do is chase and chase and get nowhere.As long as the landlord get their rent paid, nothing else matters. Absolute shambles of a company.
