Google;Pathetic

Less than 1. For a multi billion dollar company that owns much, they certainly don't care about you. What they want, is lots of your money. What they provide, is less than sub-standard service. Google believes it can get away with Anything. Maybe so, however, there newest AI product to decrease the amount of people (they probably don't pay much to), truly is a waste. If I pay them money every month, and they do not even allow me to talk with a human, let alone, just make an appointment to; pathetic. GOOGLE GETS NEGATIVE STARS.

Have to use other search engines

I'm so tired of my clicks being denied by googleleadservices. They keep telling me to check my internet connections. This is BS!! There is NOTHING wrong with my internet connections. They're just pissed that I use a VPN and can't see or track where I'm shopping. It's minimum 99% connection refusal to shopping sites when they pull this bologna. There are NO issue with my wifi or internet connections. Stop the BS Google!!! This is an EVERYDAY issue. I'm having to use different search engines ie: Duck Duck Go. There's no where to indicate it's a daily on going issue.

No Google Ads Customer Service

They market to spend a certain amount and then earn a credit but then do not honor your credit. Customer service has been rude, unhelpful, and contradictory. There is no resolution and Google ad employees seem to avoid solutions for customers. I wouldn’t recommend them to any other business owner.

Worst company to deal with

Worst company to deal with. As paying customer you would expect to be able to reach someone ! The makes it impossible to get hold of a real person to solve your problem, I have a billing problem where the overcharged me and the make it impossible to get it resolved ! Once the have your money you are done. The either connect you to only Ad Technical Support in India ! Once the guy in India was very friendly and tried to connect me to the billing department but the robot just hang up on me because I was not able to type in the account number in 5 seconds :( Also I don't believe the Ads are very honest. As Advertiser the push me to pay $1 per click or more. As Media Platform the put so many Ads on my web page but pay me 1 cent per click :( I would not trust them ! I will file a Consumer Complaint at the Government Page and see what happens. But pretty sure this will not do anything those big corporations are not afraid of the Gov !

So quick to take money for ads yet so…

So quick to take money for ads yet so slow to integrate them. Using Google Ads isn't as straightforward as it should be. Google will allow you to create an ad quickly but not integrate it automatically into your website. This has to be done manually with some knowledge of coding. I fail to understand why when my details are taken for payment, for my website and everything else, then once I've signed up to Google Analytics why isn't this integrated automatically? Even with the UA code it still isn't straightforward and like most Silicon Valley companies the assumption that customers understand coding is galling and patronising to say the least. I think the problem with Google is its lack of real-world experiences which are apparent in its virtual existence. I think staff at Google need to understand that simplifying account integration with automatic implementation for new accounts and services for companies or individuals who do not have an IT department or someone capable of understanding coding would benefit much more customers. If Google can track me without my knowledge it can surely track my customers that visit my website, especially when I've paid for the privilege to Google!

$150 Google Ads credit…beware

I received a $150 Google Ads credit from Google in October to try their service of reaching out to get new customers for my business.They'd sent these emails in the past, but I very skeptical. Finally i decided to do so on October 13, 2019. I spoke to someone on October 15, 2019, and the $150 credit, and my campaign began on that day. While I spoke to the person, as I stated, I wanted to be sure that my credit card wouldn't be charged until I surpassed the $150. On November 7, 2019, after 3 weeks of service, I noticed that it brought nothing more to my site, and I hadn't surpassed the $150, so I decided to stop the Ad. The end of November, I checked my credit card, an they charged me on my card $112, and as I speak to them today, they tell me that the $150 credit I activated is only good from after the first 31 days. They also tell me they can't credit me the $112, so I would urge that people stop the service as they do false information from their representatives.Over one hour on the phone, and I can't get a hold of a Manager of some sort, maybe because they misinform their customer and many people complaining.I will not use this service again, and I am very surprised that Google is associated with this type of crap service. Not sure if the call center is in India each time, but if they're the ones, selling on the behalf of Google, please watch out.Thanks

Used them to find a contractor. The contractor was awful! They were late, took wayyyyy too long to finish and the work was sloppy! Oh, and then they charged us more than the original agreement. I thought Angi found you "proven" contractors???? I will do the research on my own. Angi needs to just close down!

ads going way over daily budget, example set up a daily budget of £10 ads go way over and goes up to £30 in 12 hours. why would I set up an add for £10 daily for it to go over by £20? Customer service waste of time and don't understand. Customer service keeps saying (ads can over perform) If I wanted it to over perform then I would of set it up that way. total b** s***. Google own ads-misleading advertising

When chatting to a representative they started a adverting campaign before I even gave the go ahead that I will reluctantly have to pay. ALSO Google ads send you a brochure in the post with a Google ads credit to match your spend with no promotional code??? When you call them they say the system is not generating any codes and that you must keep calling them -(maybe for months the call center said) and they might provide a code. Probably because they such a big company they can be so obnoxious as to not honor their offers!!!!!!!!!!!!!I see on other complaints here that even if you get the code they still dont actually give you any credit -Big Company with huge issues. So dont do Google adverts.

I understood that i only would pay for…

I may be wrong but I understood that I only would pay for the clicks i would get. They didn't come close... witch is okay given my nonprofit is new and not really formed yet. I only had the add open for 10 days because half the clicks i got seemed like bots, they were all from the same place and not from my country. I really didnt feel like paying for them. They charged me the full amount ( a months) for my ten day length of adds- about 100 clicks. The second i closed the add the weird clicks stopped. I have a tiny non profit childrens gallery. I am avery small fish... but maybe one day i will be a big fish and i will never trust Google ads again.

I received a voucher to start using…

I received a voucher to start using Google Ads, and just as many people here, I was scammed into spending 150 USD out of my own pocket before I can use the voucher. After 2 hours of chat with Google Support where they were calling out the opaquely defined fine print that never stated that you need to pay before you use your credit, I was trying to explain point by point why the "fine print" was not clear to a first time user and how I feel scammed into spending money where I did not expect to. But the operator was adamant about getting rid of me. He was not allowing me to speak to any other operator or his manager. What a disappointment for a company like Google to use this kind of tricks on their customers and having this low level of customer support.

Feels like a Scam to me

I was offered a free £150 credit for ads with Google which I took up. I then started getting charged for the adverts before any credit was used. It then turned out that the credit wasn't a voucher but you actually had to spend money to earn the money off. This felt to me like one of those scam emails that you get asking for money. They knew businesses would assume the voucher was exactly that. Not impressed at all. Feels like this big corporate has really lost any moral compass at all.

Erroneous Google Ads billing over $1000…

During the beginning of the Covid pandemic, I was charged erroneous Google Ads billing over $1000 on per click call campaign that was not my initial set-up. My company did not sign up for a per click call campaign. Google Ads took over $1,000 from my account during the height of the Covid pandemic. As I mentioned, to a Google Ads Chat representative and via email, my account was initially setup on January 31, 2020 by Google rep M. Beck. I informed Mr. Beck that I own a cleaning business and customers are received via calling for an appointment for service and speak to me personally on my cell number. In addition, I informed Mr. Beck that I do NOT want to be charged per click for incoming customers call. Mr. Beck assured me that my company will be setup for Customer calls only answered and not per click. Well, that was a untrue. I was charged per click and NEVER made any changes to my account. Mr. Beck had full access and control of my account. In February, I was not charged. In March 2020 to May 2020, my checking account was deducted over $1,000 for calls that were never received or customers that were never spoken to by my cleaning service. These months were at the height of the Covid pandemic and my company was on shutdown AND no customers were calling for cleaning service due to the stay home and social distancing initiative in Nashville, TN. Since my company signed up with Google Ads, we have NOT received one call referencing to setting up an appointment or discussion about cleaning service. We have not received one call from any customers via Google Ads not a single customer call. I have reached out many times to Mr. Beck via email and calls (no response via the voicemail I left and his email I sent was undeliverable) and to Google Ads emails. Again, no resolution, just another $245 deduction from my checking account in May 2020. This is absolutely absurd! I have reached out to Google Ads again requesting for a refund and investigation in reference to the erroneous billing especially during a pandemic lockdown. No one was calling for any residential cleaning service in March, April and May 2020! My business is still struggling during this Covid pandemic and to have over $1,000 deducted from my checking account for customer calls that were never received or customers that were never spoken to is absurd! A Google Ads representative from another Country called, held me on the phone for 40 minutes just to continue to go over "how the Google Ads campaign works"..After me repeating myself about the initial agreement and I did not make any changes to my ad accept for the content, I was told I made the changes.

Horrible! They charge you whatever they feel like even after you pause or delete your ad. I disputed charges with my credit card company and won, only to be sent to collections by Google! They're lucky its under $100 or I wouldve sent them to small claims court! I will still dispute with my credit card company and not waste my time. There isn't live chat, just phone support with people who don't understand!!!! If you have hours to kill and are in need of some stress in your life, oh, and want to waste over $100, then create an account. Ive sent multiple emails to be told "this is not the right department, fill out this form" and it just takes you to FAq with no where to contact anymore. So annoying!!

As a seller of personalised gifts, this is my busiest season. I have been having problems with my Google Ads for the past 3 weeks. Due to a 'Google Technical Issue,' my ad has been disapproved. First, they say they will resolve the matter in 24hrs, then 48rs then they cannot give a time limit. Then the issue has been resolved only for it to happen again. They promise that someone will contact me. However, they never do.

Fixed: This was not a Googleadservices issue but rather an iPhone app “Privacy Pro SmartVPN” that caused the problems. Once I removed the app, google advertising links worked fine. Google still hasn't sorted this out. On top of taking my hard earned money (they say by a third party, in other words them), they've now sent me somebody else's email address. I can only assume that they've sent my email address and details to this other person. A blatant data breach, and they still don't respond!

it’s worse and if zero star option was available i would give zero stars or negative stars. Google ads is scam. You spend $600 and get $600 free is also a trap. 99% of clicks you get are from bots and not actual people and so they charge you for clicks. Scam.

Anyone experiencing charges from Google that they did not properly disclose to you can call their financial institution and have the charges reversed, once an investigation has been done. I have previous experience with Google and other companies charging when there was no clear indication of charges. Avoid Google ad services completely.

Poor Ad Management with no oversight

I have seen numerous ads posted through Googleadservices for misleading click-bait sites. Almost all of them are political in nature, and there is no way to report them easily; selecting "Report Ad" should carry all the relevant ad detail to Google. Instead, they force you after the fact to try and find HTML data.
