I can't thank George enough for what he has done for me this year.I was left in a situation that wasn't getting resolved. I was due to move into my house a week prior to this incident happening.George went out of his way to reassure me and resolve my situation the best he could.He contacted the landlord and convinced the landlord to terminate my contract (in which George was able to find replacement tenants for me), I managed to get 80% of my deposit back despite all of this. And to top it all off, George was contacting whoever had any spare rooms for this current academic year so I wouldn't be left homeless and stressed about my housing situation.He truly went out of his way for me and I honestly couldn't thank him enough!For anyone who has any dealings with George Doukas in the future, you're in excellent hands. He truly builds a relationship with you and is always willing to help regardless on the stress it puts on him.Thank you, thank you, thank you George!

YellWorst Letting Agents. No scrutiny and checks on other tenants.
Worst letting agents in Hatfield. All they care about is Rent! I rented out a single room near De Havilland campus in a 7 bedroom house. Only 7 people are allowed to stay to stay in this property but there is a Nigerian girl, who is permanently living with her husband in a single room (breach of contract, HMO licence, obviously her husband hasn't done any right to rent in UK) in our house for 2 months now. Her room is besides me. They are always loud at nights, creating issues and the washroom which was already shared among 3 people is now shared among 4 people and they don't keep it clean. I can't sleep most of the nights due to the noise.Reported to Strats main office multiple times and they don't care at all. One of the agents literally told me to get out of office and hire a solicitor.If anyone is reading this review, please stay away from them. I hope my landlord (Depak shah) would read this review and do something about it, if he cares about his property and HMO licence

I've been with Strats for going on two years now and they have been excellent, from the picking up of the keys and the general maintenance of the house when needed. They are quick to reply to any maintainace issues and sort them out. The other stand out factor is the relationship they have with their tenants. The social media updates are frequent and the inspections that take place with prizes are a really good way to keep the house clean and up to standards.

Strats specialise in student rentals / accommodation in close vicinity to the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield. I have compared the accommodation offered by Strats Lettings to that offered by the University and experienced both and found that private accommodation is much cheaper overall than University accommodation. Living in university accommodation often felt like a zoo with too many distractions from other students larking about. From the local estate agents I found that Strats properties are better managed and maintained than the others and that's why I give them a 5 star review.

As a landlord, I am very pleased with the work the Strats team do to let out my flat (in the hafield area). I can trust them to get good tenants that must respect the lease agreements, to collect rent on time and respond to call outs. They have done a huge amount of work to make sure all boxes are ticked and that they are offering safe well serviced accommodation. Professional and genuinely a nice team. I have peace of mind knowing that Strats are looking after my property. Would Highly recommend Strats Estates services for letting or renting.

YellSTAY AWAY!!!!
AWFUL! Rented a 6 bedroom house for my second year and received DISGUSTING service. The people there don't help when you have a problem, even if its serious. Our oven was broken for weeks, the fire alarm was going off every single night, the boiler kept leaking. When we moved in the house hadn't been cleaned and there was mouse poo everywhere, rubbish in the front and back garden, and there was no power. One of the rooms had a single bed even though we paid for a double. And after all of the stress from that year, they gave us a tiny portion of our deposit back, stating that it needed to be cleaned... EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T CLEAN WHEN WE MOVED IN. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. You're better sleeping on the streets.

Yellbetter than expected
i must admit i was worried at first when i went to Strats for lettings after hearing a bad review from university, but after being their tenant for an entire year i can say i was pleasantly surprised, one of their staff became the personal representative to my house mates and i, and they were there every step if the way.. if any problems happened with the house, they were very easy to contact.. i will be returning next year for the same customer service

Firstly the fact I have given this agent 1 star is pushing it. As a father of a student that has rented from this company be warned. 1. Take pictures of everything before you agree with the itinarary and email your findings to them immediately and agree to make changes where needed.2. Do everything in writing and do not accept conversations with them over the telephone. They have a habit of forgetting their conversations.3. Retain copies of every conversation you have with them. Trust me you will need it when you have to go to an independent adjudicator to get your deposit back.4. Finally avoid this agent if at all possible.

Having been with Strats estate agents for the past four years, I can honestly say that they are a excellent estate agents, not only do they go out of their way to help you find houses, they are at your every call trying to help you out. Although they have set working hours, it never stops them to help you, even outside hours! They build a good relationship, on a personal and business level, they are also very friendly and are always happy to help! I would definitely recommend these agents. This year is my fourth year living in rented accommodation and after previously using other agents I can honestly say that Strats Estates are the best that I have used. Right from the outset, I felt like a valued customer - they even stayed after hours just to accommodate our difficult requirements! Strats are always helpful, understanding and attentive towards any of our requests and any problems. They are very flexible and understanding in particular to any financial situations that may occur. I have noticed that other agencies around Hatfield treat students with utter disrespect however Strats provide an excellent service.The houses we were shown were all clean and well maintained so it was a difficult decision to chose between. Once moved in, contact has been regular throughout the early stages of the tenancy and any small issues have been dealt with promptly, with Strats always ensuring that everything well. We are absolutely more than happy with our house - the best we have lived in. I would definitely recommend using Strats. They are helpful, attentive and honest. Houses are all well maintained and are offered with a very fair price. A great service from the outset and I will definitely be using Strats in the future - they offer a far better service than any other estate agents in Hatfield.

YellAvoid like the plague...
Appalling service from all employees, especially anyone to do with maintenance. Every single person they ever sent to our flat (or that I had to contact) was utterly disappointing and completed shoddy and poor quality work, that was when they eventually bothered to come out! Bunch of rogue traders who mess up things in your flat then have the cheek to try and charge you for them messing up their work! How on earth such useless and untalented people like this are even employed is beyond me. Shockingly dreadful and would NOT recommend to anyone!

Yell2 years renting via strats at uni
Very unprofessional from the word go. The initial charm of this laid back attitude quickly wore off. Upon notifying us for viewings they gave barely 24hours and refused to rearrange even if we had told them it was inconvenient. This is the whole point for notifying the tennants for viewings and they completely disregarded the tennants contractual rights.... Were very rude on the phone would not recommend.
