As executor of my sister’s Will, I chose Henry Adams Haslemere to sell the property following receipt of the Grant of Probate and have absolutely no regrets in doing so. Living some 160 miles away, I met Mark at the beginning of the process to show him around the property, and again at the end of the process to hand over the keys following exchange of contracts. All other contacts have been made by telephone or email. Throughout the process, I have found Mark to be extremely knowledgeable, courteous and responsive to any matters raised. He kept me up to date with any developments - positive or negative- as he was responsible for showing the property to potential buyers. I felt at all times he was in control of events especially as the current housing market has been challenging. I would have no hesitation in recommending Henry Adams

recently rented a property through Henry Adams, and the experience was smooth and professional from start to finish. The team communicated clearly at every stage, from booking the viewing to completing the paperwork, and they were quick to answer any questions I had throughout the process. Move-in was well organised, and the property was handed over clean and in good condition. Since moving in, any small issues have been dealt with promptly, and I’ve appreciated how approachable and helpful the staff have been. Overall, Henry Adams made renting straightforward and stress-free, and I would happily recommend them.

I am writing this review to express my utter distaste and disbelief at the customer service I have received from this business. I recently enquired regarding an apartment which had been advertised by your team on Rightmove and which I was very interested in renting. Therefore I called your team immediately to arrange a viewing. I managed to secure the first viewing of the apartment within the earliest time slot. Once this was arranged (as it was days in advance of the viewing appointment) I had time to think it over and didn’t want to take the chance of losing this property so I once again communicated with your team to see whether I could put an offer in without viewing the apartment as I was happy with the photos posted on the site. I was told that it is not possible and that I need to view the apartment first. After viewing the apartment I spoke to your office immediately to put in an offer and I even went over and above the asking price to secure the property. I was told my offer will be put through to the landlord and I would get an answer the following day. The following day, I had heard nothing, no communication whatsoever so once again I rang your office around midday to ask for an update. I was told the person dealing with it was not in that morning which is why there is a delay but he would get back to me in the afternoon. There was still no communication. I called the office again at around 3:30pm for an update after the flat status had miraculously changed to ‘let agreed’ online. I was then informed that the status was updated to stop further enquiries but they’ve not come to a decision yet but someone will call me back by the end of day (6pm). I can’t help but think that this is not true as every time I communicated it seemed like I was bothering them and was an inconvenience asking for an update on my offer when I was promised a call that day. All I wanted was an update! Fast forward to 5:30pm I call again and was told that a message has been passed for someone to call me back urgently before 6pm. I didn’t receive any call, as expected. The following morning I hoped someone would get back to me first thing having passed the message the following evening… but no call once again. I then called up at 10:45am to be told “We’ve just taken a holding deposit and unfortunately the landlord did not choose you. We were actually about to call you right now!” (Hmm, sure). I wasn’t given any other information and the lady on the phone rushed to end the call but said they would call me back if anything changes. In my humble opinion, they had already earmarked this property for somebody else prior to the viewings. After having to call up 4 times for an update I don’t believe anyone will contact me. I have provided my phone number and email also but I seem to be ignored. I work in a very similar industry and I understand things can get busy, however ignoring someone for over 24 hours and then to be bluntly told their application did not go through is quite rude and disrespectful. Total waste of time and terrible communication. Avoid this letting agency at all costs.

From start to finish - the service received was exemplary. I couldn't be happier. The old adage you get what you pay for certainly rings true here. Calls were followed up in a timely manner, buyers chased, and my place, after a VERY very long journey, through multiple agents, sold. Their photographer contractor was superb (and actually professional) - honestly, the service I got was that of if I was selling a very high end property. I'm definitely going to use Henry Adams again if selling within the Haslemere catchment.

Florrie, Toby and the team at Haslemere were extremely professional throughout the whole sales process. They dealt with the sale sensitively from day one, as it was a probate sale, and helped us through every step with kindness and consideration. A buyer was found very quickly (within the first day!) and Florrie and Toby were excellent at keeping us up to date at all times, and driving the sale through during some more difficult moments occurring further down the chain. The team at Haslemere all knew what was going on everyday of our journey through our house sale. Through the experience of loosing a buyer they shared the disappointment with us and I really felt their support. Alice and Florrie were brilliant with the viewings I did, very supportive, chasing clients that were late, giving me the background of each buyers position. So good. Toby, well what can I say, always cheerful, always had his eye on the ball, communication exemplary and support right to the end. I cannot recommend this estate agent highly enough. They will be on my Christmas card list. The selling journey is never enjoyable but the team in Haslemere made it bearable.
