TrustpilotFraud risk
Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

TrustpilotI recently moved into Brigford property…
I recently moved into Brigford property and I can't express how grateful I am for the fantastic support from Lucy and Murray. From the moment I began the application process, they were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. Lucy guided me through all the paperwork with clarity and patience, ensuring I understood everything. On move-in day, Murray went above and beyond to assist me, he helped with any questions I had and made sure everything was in order. To top it all off, I received a delightful box of chocolates as a sweet welcome gift, which added such a nice touch! Their friendly demeanor and professionalism truly made my transition seamless. I highly recommend Brigford to anyone looking for a welcoming place home.

TrustpilotService above and beyond
What can I say about Bridgfords in Bamber Bridge, what an absolutely fabulous team of professionals to deal with especially Jane Catterall! This amazing lady has gone above and beyond for us firstly regarding the sale of my mum's house after she passed away, and now ourselves. Without Jane with her knowledge and wealth of experience our house move would have collapsed, she did everything in her power to get the job done, she went above and beyond, and is also a very understanding and caring individual remaining professional throughout. Couldn't have done this without you! Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

TrustpilotSome things never change - still shoddy
Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

Trustpilot2 month+ deposit return delay
I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

GoogleHuge thank you to the team at Bridgefords Harrogate for the superb service that they have given us. Richard Manton was particularly good when it came to marketing our property and the bespoke, prestige service which he gave was very impressive. Also Daniel Shepherd and his team communicated every stage with us. This superb service led to an offer which we accepted 14 days from our property being listed. Highly recommend their service!

TrustpilotThank you so much Holly at Stockton Heath's Bridgefords
I had a wonderful tour with Holly from Bridgeford's Stockton Heath. I didn't feel rushed and she was very attentive, patient with all my questions and built a quick rapport with me. She always answered the phone and emails professionally and gave thorough and informative replies, always keeping me in the loop as my application for my new rental progressed through all the stages. I highly recommend her. Steph xxx

TrustpilotThe worst out there
The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.

TrustpilotBridgefords are the worst estate agents…
Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

TrustpilotValuation?? They can't be bothered!
Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!

GoogleReally positive experience selling my house with Bridgfords Harrogate. The valuation was sensible, I was listened to, and they bent over backwards fitting in lots of viewings the week before Christmas. From offer to completion Rick kept me updated throughout and was very skilled in his management of the whole thing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - thank you!

TrustpilotWell what I can say! SHOCKING SERVICE.
Well what I can say!! After 7 years we have had enough and made the decision to move after countless problems. I am now having to move away from the area I grew up in and also I have to let my pet dog go after all the problems and YES BRIDGFORDS YOU ARE TO BLAME!!!! When we moved into the property it was just about habitable, it should not of been presented in the way it was but we were desperate. Over the years we improved the property ourselves and made it a nice home and we genuinely felt at home. Problems included heating pump problems, shower problems, we were left without a gas hob for 6 weeks, had to live practically off ready meals. Roof leaks, boiler problems which take weeks or even months to resolve. The penultimate decision to move was made when we were left without heating over the Christmas period, the house ended up like an ice box to the extreme causing massive distress to us and our young children, but they just don't care, waiting days and days for quotes to be accepted. Money comes before Health and Safety with these guys and to top it off we are being harassed to arrange viewings for new tenants, absolute joke. Unlucky for them is that I know property law, probably better than them and I have the right to refuse access to them until tenancy agreement ends. No one from the agency has ever been out to inspect the property in 7 years but they are willing to show people around, for they all know the property could be trashed. Absolutely unprofessional, some staff should be nowhere near the business of real estate. I think they think that payment of rent is just for the property, its not you pay rent for a service to which you do not get! DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM BRIDGFORDS. Its just a shame it has come to this but they are to BLAME FOR IT ALL!! SIMPLE. GOOD LUCK TO WHOEVER MOVES IN!!

GoogleRecently sold our Harrogate Flat through Bridgefords. Rick and his team were fantastic in the support they gave us from the outset right through to the sale. Regular communication kept us updated on progress with the viewings and the sale, and the Bridgefords team made the whole process easy for us. Many thanks.

TrustpilotThey will try and squeeze as much money out of you as they can
Only 2 issues were ever followed up on out of the roughly 20 issues we reported and that was the broken window and the broken front door. To get the dishwasher replaced it took over 3 months of calling twice a week. Don't be surprised if the person in charge of your tendency at Bridgfords is only leave every time you call. When we complained bout how filthy the apartment was when we moved in we were told by the manager of the Manchester office "well its not going to get a £500 clean". It didn't look like they spent £50 to cleaners. When we spoke to the land lord on it they said Bridgfords took hundreds off the previous tenants to have it cleaned. where that money went I'm sure was to bridgfords profit margains. On moving out we left the place exceptionally more clean than how we got it but still got a very long detailed report of how dirty it was and complained about the issues we reported when we moved in but they never fixed. Bridgfords said this about our deposit on checkout "I would advise that the landlord has decided to proceed with the works themselves, and therefore the offer of £100 to be deducted is a lot less than if we had arranged for the works to be organised through one of our contractors, which was previously advised by myself as a result of the checkout report."They admittedly said they would have charged us a lot more if the landlord did not intervene.when I provided proof of the damage they wanted to charge us for they said I can appeal but it can take 3 months, which I'm sure they know most people need there old deposit to pay for a new one. we did not appeal because of thisI viewed the apartment, it was a nice apartment but dirty we were promised it would be cleaned. On move in day, the apartment looked like it got a quick wipe of a mope and the garbage was taken out. Apart from that it was filthy. Dirt, cobwebs and cigaret puds on the balcony. cupboards were stained. Carpet was was torn around the edges. toilet seat was dirty and heavily stained with fake tan. paint splattered on worktops. dishwasher broken, window broken, wouldn't close. all the furniture in the bedrooms were half broken, drawers fallen down on top of each other the base of some drawers split. couch high stools and tiles were all filthy. oven not properly cleaned thick grease around the seal. carpet stained, curtain very stained.Throughout out tendency we had the following issues, mould growing in bathroom, worktop seal lifting, carpet getting progressively more frayed on the edge where it was coming away fro the seal.

TrustpilotNegative experience unfortunately.
Negative experience unfortunately. While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman. The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.Based on other Macclesfield position reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then. One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

TrustpilotBridgfords Stockport
Bridgfords Stockport, dealt with Katherine Hancock who was unbelievably unhelpful. First of all told me i couldnt cancel as i was in a 12 month contract which was untrue it was a 6 month contract.Said i had to give 2 months notice as i could only give a month from my billing date, which was wrong again.Kept advising i needed to speak to my landlord for issues they could deal with. Finally i left my flat in better condition than when i entered. Landlord wont return deposit, when asking Bridgford to help they've advises its nothing to do with them.

TrustpilotAvoid
Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. Absolutely useless as a manager of 40 years if they worked for me they would all be unemployed.Stalybridge branch over promised and under achieved.
