We recently moved to the UK and had been looking for a rental property. The process did not go smooth at the beginning as we were all new here and we do not have much credit history. Therefore we believe it would be hard for us to rent a property. Luckily with the help of Brett from Home County Sales and Lettings in Harpenden, we finally rented a property that we love. Brett behaved responsibly throughout the renting process. He communicated with us via emails even late at night, which made us very impressive. He also explained to us in details about the documents related to the property. And there were email reminders that we really appreciated. Thank you Brett.

Liz and the team have been fantastic. As a pet owner it’s really hard to find suitable properties with good terms however Liz has helped me find my last two homes and gone out of her way to make the process as smooth as possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with HCR as a tenant or a landlord and hope other agencies develop the same level of personal service / take a leaf out of HCRs book. Thanks again everyone!

I'm a tenant letting through HCR and having dealt with around a dozen letting agencies over the years, HCR has been absolutely the best. There was clarity and consistency of communication all the way through the letting process (which in my case was complicated as ownership of the property was changing hands at the same time) and so many agencies do this terribly or give you the feeling you are getting the run around. The high level of service continued after I had actually signed, the team is exceptionally responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to either a potential tenant or landlord.

This was my first ever tenancy so it is difficult to make comparisons but staff changes during the period of my 18 month tenancy resulted in a marked improvement in communication from the company. Thanks to the Lettings team for making this a very frictionless process. The team provided good advice on things that prospective tenants would like to have or not have in a property. The team organised the required energy and electrical certificates expediently and found a good tenant quickly at the competitive market price. Stick to the multinational branded agents. The ones who have procedures and systems in place, that keep to their promises, don’t charge tenants ridiculous fees for what should be a duty of care to both tenant and landlord. No complaints procedure with Home County and certainly no care for tenants after moved into a ‘managed’ property. PLEASE future landlords reading this and thinking of letting your property, use an established letting company. Potential tenants - remain as that and use an established agent. One that care and have the ability to deal with general problems.

Been renting with home county rentals for 5 years now in the quaint town of Harpenden. As I good tennant I rarely have to contact the agency however when my tumble dryer broke I called them and the same day they had arranged a repair man to come at a time convenient for me.
