Letting Management A Joke

I paid Reyland Johnson to manage my property in Harlow. They are ignorant and unprofessional. Despite carrying out quarterly inspections, they failed to notice that the tenant had poorly redecorated 4 rooms without permission. Following their eviction, so much damage had been done over a 12 month period that withholding their £2300 deposit did not cover the costs!! These clowns will happily take your money and offer you nothing in return. They are young and inexperienced, playing at being letting agents. RJ’s DESPERATE RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW IS EVIDENCE OF HOW THEY CONDUCT THEIR BUSINESS……DISHONESTLY.

Without doubt the best estate agents ever!!!!!! James sold our property within 4 hours! Exchanged in 4 weeks! After being in a dead end chain for 6 months with another agent calling Reyland and Johnson was the best thing we ever did. Not only were they helpful, efficient and know exactly the right people for the right property, There was never any need to chase them up they are always on the ball keeping you up to date with everything. It’s been 5 months since our big move and we couldn’t be happier with our house but more importantly the service provided by Ben and James. We’ve known them both for some time with this being our 2nd property we have sold through Reyland Johnson and boy did we have to work for this one hey James?! After a very long and at times stressful 9 months we completed in February this year. James you were instrumental in keeping the chain alive and went well above and beyond what even I expected anyone to do in order to keep communication and momentum going in the 6 property chain. We strongly feel that if it wasn’t for you sheer belligerence and determination the chain would have fallen down and we would have lost our dream home. You were director, sales progressor, solicitor and agony uncle! I do miss our daily chats and you were very good at managing my at times quite stroppy rants . We couldn’t recommend Reyland Johnson highly enough the whole team are friendly and professional and restore your faith in what can be a very criticised profession. We have now moved out of the Harlow area, however if we do move again (and it’s a BIG if) I wouldn’t hesitate to call you guys again and see if you’re up for the next challenge! Without a doubt the best estate agents ive ever dealt with. James, Ben, Claire, Harriet and co (yes even you Sonny ha ha) are 100% professional, efficient, friendly and dam good at what they do. Throughout the sale of my late parents house, we was kept regularly informed of the progress of the sale from the lovely Claire. There was never an occasion where we needed to chase them up. In fact, Claire had to chase me up on occasion. Also we rent a property through R and J and moved to another of their rented properties. Throughout the move Harriet was informative and friendly and if there is ever something we need or require, she is always happy to help. We must of taken up the entire workforce with 2 rentals and a sale going on at the same time. Whether your buying, selling or renting, Reyland and Johnson should be your first choice. Perfect!! 5*

Ben worked soooo hard for me and went above and beyond to get everything completed so we could move before christmas. If i ever had a worry or a question all i had to do was pick up the phone and ben would put me at ease straight away. The main thing i liked from the company was that they were all just friendly and honest. If you want a friendly reliable and hard working agent then I would 100% recommend reyland and johnson.

**REYLAND JOHNSON** Avoid at all costs! I rented a house in London from this agency, and the living conditions were terrible. With a newborn baby, I had to repaint the walls myself, using a white paint that was slightly different from the original and because of that they withheld £500 from my deposit. I did a lot of repairs on the house over the course of a year; the bathroom was in terrible shape, etc. And this is how they thanked me! Save yourself the trouble and choose a different agency. You'll be glad you did!

We’ve had a tricky sale of our property with a different estate agent and were buying with Reyland Johnson. All I can say is Sonny and Brandon in the Sawbridgeworth office saved our chain and kept us sane. Excellent communication, always returned calls, always kept me updated, friendly, calm, extremely professional and stepped in to chase things for us that they didn’t have to. Overall incredibly wonderful estate agents and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RJ estates to anyone. Excellent!

Finally the dust has settled and I have time to write my review! Firstly, don't be fooled by the cheaper purple estate agents, they are a nightmare to deal with! Luckily the boys here at RJ managed to bypass them and get answers, and calm me on one particular occasion when I thought I might have some kind of meltdown due to sheer frustration. I sold and moved on my own, so the help and support of RJ was even more appreciated and needed! I can't rate them highly enough - they're not smarmy or pushy like other agents, they are just normal guys doing a fantastic job. Just don't go anywhere else - simple!

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Reyland and Johnson Estate Agents, I had been looking for a certain type of property in Church Langley now for over 5 yrs. Ben knew what I was after, he didn't continue to pester me or try to sell me something he knew I wouldn't want (unlike some other EA's I might add). But as soon as the right property became available he told me immediatley and also ensured we were in the best possible position to buy our 'dream home' by selling our current house in less than 24hrs....incredible! Now that is what I call service. In this current market, speed of action is key and this is what gets results and sets R&J aside for me. They certainly pulled out all the stops to ensure my family and I got the home we all loved and wanted. Anyone looking to move or buy, I would definatley recommend these guys......
