Abusive Chelsea Gardner; Behaviour Endorsed, 🚩😳

UPDATE (5th February, 2024):Investigation into Chelsea Gardner's behaviour completed.I now quote from Martin Moston, director of this appalling agency: "Having formally reviewed your account with Chelsea and compared to her account, she advises she did swear at you once, for which she is frustrated at having let herself down, but refutes any other claim. Chelsea has advised this was in the ‘heat of the moment...' It goes on..."We have not had any other such complaints and the staff member in question has been working for us for 18 months with no question of character and excellent feedback on how they deal with clients..."Additionally, not once did the investigation mention the cold calls from withheld numbers asking about my situation and they are going to "pop down to see me."This started to happen straight after the abusive confrontation with Chelsea, which I told the investigating team about immediately. It would seem that this abusive behaviour that people like Chelsea exhibit towards customers is actively endorsed by senior management of this disgraceful organisation. Chelsea has not even received a caution for her behaviour, with senior management taking her side of her deranged story. Plus, this company/ employees misuse personal information and go against GDPR legislation.I will let readers of this review conclude whether to interact with this company or choose a more friendly, professional agency.January 26th, 2024.Wow...where do I start , 😳? I had two viewings booked today.First viewing there was a mix up with postcodes by another employee, but I got there within the stipulated time, just for Chelsea to leave, even though I had fifteen minutes remaining and was at the correct place. So I sent emails to Chelsea and the rest of the team, but they (especially Chelsea) can't seem to admit their mistakes or say sorry.I then had another viewing at 4:30pm, and arrived there by 4:20pm. I then received an email saying the viewing was cancelled. I phoned the office, and they said it was not cancelled and Chelsea would be there. What happened next is unbelievable:Chelsea arrives and I told her my name and viewing time. She said it was cancelled due to my conduct!!! I had ready wasted the whole afternoon for these viewings, so questioned Chelsea's decision. She then went ballistic and started screaming and shouting whilst calling me all the foul, discriminatory names you can imagine. It got to the point I had to walk away as she got in my face threatening to slap me and get 'bad men from Manchester' to sort me out!!!She is one disturbed and unprofessional individual I have ever encountered.Suffice to say, I have lodged an official complaint and will update this review when I know the results. However, I implore everyone wanting to use an estate agent in Manchester, whilst avoiding this one like the plague until they sack employees such as Chelsea.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Zoe. She is incredibly knowledgeable, highly professional, and delivers truly first-class service from start to finish. Her attention to detail, calm manner, and genuine commitment to helping clients shine through in every interaction. Zoe goes above and beyond, and it really shows. She is without doubt a tremendous asset to any organisation, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional service.

Absolutely appalling treatment of renters

Nobody ever answers the phones. Was contacted via email & voicemail with an offer for a rental property we had applied for, only to have the offer rescinded almost immediately because I was in work & missed the call.I responded to the email offer just 25 minutes after receiving it, only to get a brief response advising that they had already given it to another tenant & it had been accepted. There was absolutely no curtesy of giving us a chance to call back, there was absolutely no attempt made to contact my partner who was also jointly applying with me.I know that the rental market is competitive, but imagine punishing potential tenants for having a job! I have never been treated with such contempt and disrespect by a business.

Quality staff providing a quality service

I have used JF for several years as my letting agency and on every occasion, they have proved themselves reliable, informative and professional. There may be cheaper agencies out there and there may be more expensive ones, but since Jordan Fishwick has never failed me and has always delivered the goods, I see no reason to take my business elsewhere. On this occasion, their marketing was excellent and led to several offers to rent my flat, and I have naturally accepted one. My main point of contact throughout the process has been Joely Brooks. She has gone the extra mile in terms of making things run smoothly, and finding a very fairly priced decorator to freshen my flat up.So, thanks mostly to her, along with her colleague Yasmin Dowe for making this a seamless and rewarding, trouble free process.

I am a returning client with Jordan…

I am a returning client with Jordan Fishwick and they have yet again impressed me with their tenacity, professionalism and sheer results. After having the property appraised by several agents, I chose to go with Jordan Fishwick as I had a good previous experience with them, plus they have a strong presence in the area. They achieved three asking price offers for me after only three weeks in a tricky market. A huge thanks to Guy and all the sales team in Wilmslow.

Efficient, Clear, and Pleasant Collaboration

Efficient, Clear, and Pleasant CollaborationI have had the pleasure of working with Joely, on multiple occasions as part of my role at Legal for Landlords. I must say that my experience has been nothing short of outstanding. As a legal consultant it is crucial to have clients who are responsive, clear, and cooperative. Joely, has consistently exceeded these expectations.Every question and query I have posed has been answered promptly, often within hours. This level of communication has not only facilitated smooth case progression but has also ensured that no detail is overlooked, which is paramount in legal proceedings and for her landlords. Her positive attitude and cooperative spirit have made every interaction enjoyable. It is rare to find a client who combines professional diligence with such a personable demeanor. Thank you, or your continued professionalism and collaboration. It has been a privilege to work with you, and I look forward more.

massive undervaluation of our property - which sold for 46k more

Would not recommend. Marcus Dobson came to give us a valuation of our property and told us that the best we could hope for was £540k - we'd had a number of estate agents out at this time and they had shown us similar properties that were going for £575k and above. Consistently, they told us that the price should be at least £575k (there was actually a similar property, in not as good an area on at this price). Marcus told us that, this property hadn't sold and that he could put it on for any price, but that in his opinion we'd be looking at the £540k mark. We sold our house, shortly after (a matter of a week or so) for £585k. 100% would not recommend - £46k reasons why!Response to their reply. I wasn't the only one who disagreed. Every other estate agent did and so did our buyers. A 46k undervaluation = 1 star review. Suggests you don't know the market.

Agent replied · 24 August 2024

I'm sorry that you didn't agree with Marcus's valuation and we would always recommend getting other agents opinions. This hardly warrants a 1 star review. We cant find your property sold on any major websites? We wish you all the best. Jordan Fishwick

Dont use Jordan Fishwick

My experience with Jordan Fishwick has been disappointing, particularly in comparison to other agents I've worked with. They charged me £1900 to find three tenants, despite my involvement in the tenant selection process. For one tenant, my mother and I conducted viewings and chose the tenant, while Jordan Fishwick only handled referencing. In another case, they simply forwarded a video I had filmed to a prospective tenant, essentially rendering their service redundant. It feels like I could have achieved the same outcome by using OpenRent.comFurthermore, the last tenant they found caused substantial damage to my recently refurbished flat. It's evident to me that Jordan Fishwick prioritises profit over providing quality service. I'm convinced they intentionally attract problematic tenants to pressure landlords into utilising their property management services and incurring additional fees. They are absolute fleecers!Given these experiences, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for property management services. Jordan Fishwick's practices demonstrate that their primary concern is extracting money from clients rather than delivering value. I will not hesitate to share my negative experiences with others in both Macclesfield and Chorlton, and I will be seeking alternative solutions for managing my properties.UPDATE:Please look at Jordan Fishwick’s arrogant response.Full of contempt for landlords. As it happens I don’t make thousands of pounds of income from these properties. The business is up to the hilt with mortgages and profit margins are very small, these are purely for my pension as I work for myself. The problem I have is that.I took all my own photographs. Had already paid once for getting a tenant in. But, was charged for all the marketing etc all over again when the tenant they got in moved out. All they did is repost the advert, didn’t do any viewings and replied to one email and then charged £750. When I was promised it was going to be £450.This is where my problem lies with Jordan Fishwick. As you can see, a reduction in fees for multiple lets and no viewings should be implemented. They mention that I don’t have them managed so why should they care…Why on earth would I have them managed when this is my main business. Why would any sensible person spend £1000s on fees when most things can be dealt with directly with the tenant. Landlords who use agents to manage maintenance aren’t really in touch with their tenants in my opinion, or have dozens of properties and just look at profit, I like to get involved with the properties and like the fact that the tenants feel comfortable to ask me directly for help etc. I want my tenants to feel like they can get directly in touch to sort a problem out faster. Not go through a middle man.I rest my case.

William · 28 June 2024

Agent replied · 24 August 2024

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that £1900 fees for renting three properties is excessive £633.33p per let. When we help generate £1000's & £1000's pounds worth of income you as a landlord. To accuse us of purposely seeking problem tenants is beyond the ridiculous. As we don't manage any of your properties and we feel that you are not in a strong position to advise others to look elsewhere. We value all of our landlords and tenants alike and our staff work hard on a daily basis to help and assist them all. Jordan Fishwick

We were lucky to deal with Tom at JF in Hale and I have to say, he was outstanding. The sale became a VERY long and protracted process (6 months!) but that was solely down to our purchaser who's behaviour and tactics were quite shocking, and it is no exaggeration to say that the sale would never have happened without Tom. The sides became very polarised and quite fractious, but Tom kept the deal afloat, mediated superbly and found a path to sale by liaising between the two parties and keeping us apart. In some instances in the past, I've not been sure who the estate agent was working for (normally themselves!), but this was never the case with Tom. It was obvious I was his client and he did all he could to get what we wanted whilst being clear on elements where we'd need to compromise if we wanted a deal. All told, he worked really hard, communicated well and got us the sale at a price we were happy with despite the countless occassions we thought it would fall through as his recommendations proved invaluable. I'd recommend JF Hale and Tom Beevers in particular to any other house sellers in the area, he is excellent.

Used for a valuation for the sale of our property in Altrincham in summer 2022. The valuation was incredibly hyperinflated compared to all the other agencies we sought valuations from (we got 7 in total, so we had a good idea of the value, and Jordan Fishwick Hale were outliers by a significant amount). In addition to this, the sales team peppered us with emails and phonecalls after our valuation to persuade us to use them, and also sent letters to our home incessantly over the period our house was listed with another agency. The whole sales tactic felt incredibly aggressive and overly ambitious. I wouldn't consider listing with them unless they changed their approach as it was all a bit much.

We tried using an online agent before handing the reins to Tom and the team at JF Hale after our initial sale stalled. The difference was as stark as night & day, in our experience a good high street agent wins hands down given that JF got the transaction over the line in double quick time, achieved a better price, and Tom and the team followed up, chased and harried the process to completion - exactly what the online agents didn't do........ We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tom and the team at Jordan Fishwick Hale to anyone looking for a professional estate agent that gets results.

Amateur Service Provider

We were interested in some of Jordan Fishwick’s property listings and looking forward to register with them as potential cash buyer, suggested a date for us to come in to show proof of ID and yet they refused to book us in until they see the proof of fund for last 3 months. We have provided them our fixed deposit certificate with an UK bank dated 7 months ago and maturing in 5 months. And yet they still insisting that wasn’t sufficient. We have tried to explain a number of times, being a fixed deposit we don’t get monthly statement. We even provided them with proof of fund came from sale of our last property.Unfortunately we have to forgo on those potential properties. Can’t imagine how hard it will get dealing with them in the future. Just can’t bring ourselves dealing with amateurs. Sellers beware! They are driving away a lot of potential buyers from your properties!

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. They will tell you to sign agreements and pay rent and deposits even tho they haven’t had an agreement with the landlord. We was meant to move into a flat on 1/8 everything was signed and agreed the day before however the landlord decided, even tho we passed every check and signed everything and PAID everythng, she wanted a guarentor. This was never stated before hand and even tho I told the agency I more than likely wouldn’t be able to provide one I was still advised to pay and sign as they could talk the landlord round. I was then told at around 4pm the night before my move they the landlord had said no. So contracts signed everything agreed rent paid and they mess you around like that. The company refused to do anything or care about the situation. I had to argue all that night and the next morning for my money back immediately which I still had to wait for. this company just likes to waste your time and money. This was mine and my partners first property together and now are too scared to try again as this experience was awful we’ve lost money for moving vans etc as everything was booked as we was due to get the keys in the morning. No one told me this may not go through as far as I was aware I’d signed not one but 2 tenancy agreements to still be told no.

Best estate agents in Wilmslow by far (we tried a few)…

Thank you so much to Richard Peck and the team for all your hard work getting our house sold and navigating the process through to completion. As part of a 10 property chain it was a challenging process and without Richard’s pragmatic approach and being willing to go above and beyond I don’t think our sale/purchase would have gone through. Thanks for all the hard work and patience throughout!

Wow! above and beyond.

I have used the Wilmslow branch for both Buying and renting properties before, always receiving a highly professional Service, however my last transaction, a property sale, needs special mention. This transaction turned out to be both extremely complicated and extraordinarily long, taking many months to finally get over the line. Through the whole process Guy and his team, especially Richard, who went above and beyond to get the deal completed. Without him, I can honestly say, I'd have closed the whole transaction down. What a fantastic service and I can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent a property in and around Wilmslow. A top notch company.

A team that keeps on top of things

Richard and team at JF Wilmslow did a great job for us from start to finish. We contacted them on a Tuesday, by Thursday the house was up on Rightmove with full description, floorplan and photos. By the following Monday we had a number of offers on or above the asking price. As the sale progressed (we were on a tight timescale) Richard continually liaised with the various parties involved and moved them along where necessary. We were appraised of the situation all through the process. There is no doubt we would not have made our deadline without Richard's expertise and continuing input,
