Horrendous Service
Terrible service - we have moved into a flat managed by Savills, and we have had nothing but headaches during the entire process. Firstly, the referencing process is terrible, we ended up missing our move in date by a week, but were told they could not change the date we started paying rent from to reflect this, despite none of the delays being our fault. They even asked me for my birth certificate the night before we about to make a 6 hour drive to move in - AFTER we had paid the deposit and first months rent, why not ask for this before hand?? So we didn't know if we were able to collect the keys or not the next day - causing much stress after we had already packed up our house. We arrived on a Saturday, and had to get the keys from a security guard - which was fine however despite being told multiple times we would be emailed a Welcome Pack, we did not receive this until 24 hours after moving into the property, meaning we had no idea how to turn on essentials such as heating and hot water as this was not straightforward. We also were not able to access the meter reading at all to setup our energy accounts. To sum up, service is horrendous, painfully slow and you will be waiting hours if not days for a response, and every time you call to chase they say someone will get back to you that day, but they never do. Savills have caused us a great amount of stress and difficulty during our entire moving process.

Issues with Deposit Return
The experience was smooth until it came time to return the deposit. Currently, I am waiting for a substantial deposit to be refunded. Unfortunately, the original account used for the deposit has been closed, and they are refusing to return the funds. I have been advised to seek legal assistance to obtain permission for the deposit to be transferred to another account, which will incur additional costs for me. From my perspective, it appears that they are deliberately trying to retain the deposit.

Terrible estate agent who rather wait…
Terrible estate agent who rather wait until tomorrow when being told that there is potential smoke, water leakage and lack of hot water in the building for many residents. Imagine being told these things from a resident and then communicate that they need to wait until tomorrow?! What is even the point of an out of hours line then?! Before that they were not able to fix a door and thank good that nobody needed an ambulance ik case of emergency because that would really make the newspapers. I am not even sure where you would find such an useless bunch of people in this day and age. Being paid to do a job that they can not even do properly and one can not bother visit the estate via a short tube ride?
We are very sorry to hear this and would like to find out more. If you'd like, please email further detail to socialmedia@savills.com so we can investigate.

AWFUL ESTATE AGENCY, POOR SERVICE, BAD FOR TENANTS AND LANDLORDS.
Have rented from a number of different landlords, agency's, and reps over the years. This was by far the worst experience I have had. Savills were awful from start to finish, from the effort they actually put in to sell the property on the landlords behalf, to how to they dealt with requests or reports of issues throughout the tenancy or lastly how they have dealt with the ending of the tenancy. All of the staff members are rude and treat you with little respect. There have been lies and manipulation from them to ensure they can get the most out of every transaction. They have also been incredibly slow to return the deposit, 7 weeks and still no sign, when we have enquired about this we have been treated as if we are rude to ask where our money is. AWFUL ESTATE AGENCY, POOR SERVICE, BAD FOR TENANTS AND LANDLORDS.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please be assured that your feedback is invaluable. We’d welcome the opportunity to investigate further so, if you’d like to please email details to socialmedia@savills.com.

Landlord
If you're a landlord, please do not use Savills as your letting agent. We used a branch in London and it was a complete nightmare: (i) the property was completely unsupervised and trashed by the previous tenants (causing permanent damage) and Savills was (a) unaware as infrequent checks were conducted, if any and (b) failed to alert the landlords in a timely manner once they became aware of it at the end of the tenancy (ii) horrible end-of-tenancy process; the inventory report failed to document a lot of issues within the property (iii) failed to disclose material information about the new tenants until referencing checks were being conducted and such information would have affected our decision to enter into the relevant tenancy agreement (iv) unresponsive, unhelpful and does not act in landlords' best interests.
We are very sorry to hear of you're experience, and would like to find out more about this. Please email further detail to socialmedia@savills.com so we can investigate.

Helpful and professional
My experience with Savills was very positive and everything went well. I was in contact with Jess Exley, who was very helpful, supportive and answered all my questions. My case was a bit difficult, as I was about to move to the UK from abroad and was not familiar with the processes. She explained everything in detail and was responding to me quickly and in a professional manner. I felt that I can trust her and this made the moving out process smoother for me. I definitely recommend her!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it's great to hear that we made things that bit easier for you and it was a pleasure to be able to help.Regards,Jess

Would not even recommend to my ENEMIES!!
My partner and I have moved in a flat managed by Savills in South West London November 2018 and from week 1 we noticed that the underfloor heating in the two biggest rooms of the flat (main bedroom and living area) is significantly underworking. We conducted Savills straight away to notify them of the issue and request a repair. Today, 11 March 2019, the problem is still not fixed!First reaction by Savills and landlord was that we probably don't know how to operate the control system and we had to exchange at least 5 detailed emails and pictures to convince them that the issue is more serious. They finally brought in the first "engineer" to look into it 15 days later who didn't even identify the problem correctly so he fixed the wrong bit causing the hallway heater to stop working too. We have exchanged at least 50 emails chasing them up to get the problem fixed and Savills keeps saying that the Landlord is delaying approval of funds. Over the 4 months we have had 3 different engineering companies attending with an at least 4 weeks break between each visit and the problem is still there. I would expect that the agency that manages a property need to ensure that the landlord is fulfilling their responsibilities towards the tenants. Unfortunately this is not the case with Savills, who even told me ones on the phone that they don't care about the tenants as they are paid by the landlord!!This is really disappointing as we have been through the whole winter without being able to get warm in our flat but still paying the agreed monthly rate and have received enormous electricity bills, which could be related with the malfunctioning heating system (as the last engineer said it could be the case). At this stage and after our last communication with Savills on 8 March, there is still nothing confirmed as per when the issue will be resolved or at least the next engineer will attend. We are now at the stage of seeking legal advice and we have already contacted Citizen Advice to get recommendations on next steps. If you can avoid renting through Savills, or at least avoid having your flat managed by them please do because you will save yourself from huge inconvenience and hours of unnecessary communication and follow ups to make them do their job! I was planning to use them as letting agents for my property and decided not to after this, I knew that big agencies are bad, but this is beyond my worst dreams.

We had an unfortunate situation with a person who was renting our flat. All looked bleak and costly to us. However dealing with Philip Theodorou from Savills helped greatly to manage the situation and reduce our costs and have a better conclusion with this challenging situation.
Thank you so much for your review, Sakis. It's much appreciated. If you need anything further please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Excellent experience
We were lucky to find a great property marketed by Savills. I would like to thank Ms. Yato Konde in particular for making our move in a speedy process. She has been so helpful and she promptly provided all the support that we needed to settle in.
Feedback is an invaluable reminder of the things that are important to our clients, Azari. So thank you for taking the time to review our performance. I am delighted your experience of Savills was such a positive one.

Savills' customers satisfied
Savills have been very supportive in managing the sale of our property, and particularly in keeping the chain of sales in place with all of us moving forward. Their marketing advice was first-rate and promotional literature was produced rapidly and to an excellent standard. They arranged and supported an ambitious programme of viewings which resulted quickly in a successful sale. In the ensuing pre-contract period we have valued highly their continued expert advice. They have provided a comprehensive service which we would recommend highly.
Thank you, it was our pleasure. We know that selling a house can be a difficult time so it’s great to hear that we made it that little bit smoother for you. We wish you all the best for the future.Regards,Savills

Very poor experience with London residential lettings business
The company’s London residential lettings business is the worst I’ve ever dealt with---a toxic mix of incompetence and outright dishonest behaviour. Special conditions in the tenancy agreement over maintenance to be completed before the tenancy start date were not met in full, getting maintenance done during the tenancy was impossible and there were multiple billing errors which were ultimately resolved but Savills was responsible for. The renewals process was also full of deceit and trickery. I agreed to the terms for renewal supposedly put forward by the landlord which included an assurance from Savills that the landlord would finally do maintenance/repairs. However, instead of going away and drawing up a contract to reflect our agreement by email Savills came back a couple of weeks later claiming the landlord withdrew the terms for renewal I had agreed to and wanted a higher rent amount. I of course pushed back on this. The response from Savills was that the landlord now wanted an even higher rent amount! To top it all off Savills were refusing to write into the contact that the landlord would complete maintenance/repairs while still claiming in “subject to contract” emails that the repairs would be done if only I signed an agreement without this wording. I’ve taken my business elsewhere and am now receiving a fantastic service from one of Savills’ many competitors in the London market.

TRASH AGENCY
I highly do not recommend taking this agency for your rental, because:1/ Some of their workers are VERY EXTREMELY RUDE and take their sweetest time to reply to mails.2/ They will give you the STUPIDEST excuses that they cannot reach the landlords.3/ They will keep you without a precise response.4/ They will not allow you to break your contract.
Hi Ashley, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely appreciate your honesty and for bringing your concerns to our attention. We would value the opportunity to learn more about your experience; please email further detail to socialmedia@savills.com so we can investigate.

Very satisfied first time auction sellers.
My wife and I decided to sell our London home by auction because we wanted it to be a quick and hassle free process. We called Savills and spoke to Ralph who came to meet us at the property, looked the place over and explained the auction process to us. Guided by Ralph we agreed our reserve price and the property was to go to auction within a couple of weeks. During those couple of weeks there were a few times we needed to speak to Ralph who always had time to speak to us and was very helpful. My wife and I watched the auction live online, very exciting having turned down two pre auction offers, which came from the many block viewings Savills arranged, and no sooner had the hammer gone down, my phone rang. It was Ralph calling to let us know the result. Three weeks later we completed, so the sale was quick and hassle free which is what we wanted but was also quite exciting. Thanks to all at Savills, especially Ralph .
