TrustpilotThe very worst letting agents I have encountered
As many others have said here, having Savills as letting agents is a really unpleasant experience. They recently took over as agents here and it’s honestly like having a bully in your own home. You just never know what the next email is going to say - They’re rude and heavy handed. I’ve been living here happily for a few years now, as have others on the row; we all get on, pay our rent on time, look after the properties and are generally good tenants - the way Savills behave, you’d think the polar opposite. A home (rented or owned) is supposed to be precisely that - a home, your safe space - Savills fail to understand that and make renting from them upsetting and unpredictable.Letting smaller properties is not their forte - it’s a secondary service they offer to larger, wealthy clients and that lack of knowledge, experience and care shines through. If you’re looking at renting from Savills, please be wary. If you’re looking at renting properties through then, please reconsider - this is not their speciality, it’s not what they’re good at! You want nice, happy tenants (like myself and my neighbours) and Savills cannot give you that and they will ruin it if you have it already.

TrustpilotVictoria Point
I’m I first time buyer who wisely decided that the best time to purchase a property was during the pandemic. I’ve dealt with people not turning up for the viewings, people showing me inappropriate properties, such as places with no parking regardless of the fact that I said I needed one, and, most infuriatingly, people talking business with my father even after I identified myself as the buyer who is paying for everything.Pete Cronin at Victoria Point is amazing, and is part of the reason why I loved the property so much (although it’s a beautiful place!). He was kind, honest and took the time to ask me what I’m looking for and how I’d like to do things. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed out of the office at all, he told me to take my time and think about it if I need to, or come back and do another viewing, and nothing was too much to ask for. I could come back to view it whenever possible and Pete was always in touch with me to provide updates. When I found out from my solicitor that they were missing a document that was leaving them unable to submit my application I emailed Pete who looked into that within minutes and got it sorted (turns out they weren’t being too honest!) the same day. What I thought would be fraught with paperwork, fees and stress has been nothing but pleasant (at least on Pete’s side!) because of him! Please let him know, he deserves recognition for all the help and kindness he has given me.Saranja

The team at Savills in Stamford were incredibly helpful all through what turned out to be a hugely challenging sales process. From the initial valuation and marketing through dealing with incredibly difficult (borderline unreasonable) buyers all the way to completion, they have been helpful, professional and reliable. The bottom line - they helped me realise a very good price during unpredictable market conditions. Highly recommended!

TrustpilotLazy and complacent Agents
Savills had a reputation for being an excellent high end residential and commercial property estate agents. We however have found them to be lazy and complacent. A request for a property appraisal and valuation in rural Notts (£1 - 1.5 million) was met with a cursory email and a refusal to come out and see the property or even discuss it with us from J* H*, one of their customer service representatives. The only explanation he gave was: "We do not believe we are the right agent to achieve the best outcome from your property". These seem vagie words from a stock email response translating as "I can't be bothered to come out and sell your property or to telephone you to explain why…"

TrustpilotEasy to work with
In comparison with other real estate companies I've worked with, Savills have been a much more pleasant experience. As a former tenant of a Savills managed property, they responded quickly, took care of any issues with the property promptly, and was easy to work with towards the end of tenancy. I would highly recommend Savills over the other real estate company I've leased from.

We have the new property manager Atticus and Angus helping us to look after our property for about 1 year. I feel that the services we are imrpoving tremendously, as i have prompt reply and action on my questions. I am considering letting them to manage my additional property when the existing letting agreement expires in near future.

TrustpilotIncredibly stressful and frustrating…
Incredibly stressful and frustrating experience. My partner and I were accepted on our dream flat after months of disappointment looking for somewhere. Initially started off well, with submitting requested information for referencing and a check in being booked, of which the member of staff confirmed everything was complete and good to go. Two working days before our check in, the third party referencing company contacted us to say they couldn't open the documentation we provided. It was CSV rather than PDF which can easily be converted for free online, but we were more than happy to provide this again but of course this delayed our move in. We were lucky we planned for some overlap, but I would have preferred not to have used it as it has caused increased stress, which we were trying to avoid, vacating our current property. I then had no communication on our move in day regarding this, and felt like there was no urgency regarding our case. We then get told our guarantors earnings fall short by a very small amount the day after we were meant to be in. This was a shock to us as we were accepted as tenants on the basis of our guarantors earnings. No one had the common sense to speak to the landlord, explain that we only have a guarantor for recent self employment purposes and advise we earn enough after we had to provide 6 months bank statements, 6 months of invoices and let them connect to our bank accounts (a very invasive process indeed). Having worked as a property manager myself, we provided the additional information they needed immediately in order to get this over the line as quickly as we could. We also had trouble with signatures of which I won't go into. After finally coming round to collecting keys 5 working days after our initial move in, on the surface the flat looked okay. But after further investigation the flat was left in an unacceptable state, plug holes were green, insides of cabinets black, stains on carpets. I was advised the previous tenants deposit had been returned, wrongly so in my opinion. And an inventory of the property also hasn't been conducted before we moved in.The communication from Savills has been minimal and short and we are waiting for a resolution. This was supposed to be a really exciting time for us and it has been filled with stress, frustration and disappointment.

TrustpilotTHEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY & LEAVE YOU HOMELESS
Please stay clear at all cost or it will cost you BIG time!!This crazy shambolic story is well worth a read. If anybody knows how I can take this further legal wise please let me know - aidantoal955@gmail. comOkay so Myself & two others booked a viewing for a flat in east London. The agents have called on the phone to confirm it has a 2 household share HMO license which is fine works perfectly for us to rent. Went to the viewing, great apartment. Again they double checked if we could rent it & yes no problem license wise. Placed an offer - Landlord accepts it. Happy days!Fast forward to submitting all the docs , all our reference checks have been completed & all good to go. 2 weeks before we move in we give our current landlord our notice we are leaving.Miah hough-barned & Katie Vale from Savills 33 Margaret Street , London have been dealing with our lease for the new flat. 3 days before moving in Miah has sent over the lease to us. Signed it straight away & paid £4,200 pounds. Get an email of Miah again with a new lease contract saying they have forgotten to put the RPI clause into it. No problem, signed it again straight away. The next morning 48hrs before we move in, get an email saying our document has been cancelled. Presuming it was the first incorrect document they sent we didn't think much of it. I emailed Miah just to confirm it was ok? No response back from her. I was in work so I could only call them on my lunch at 13:00. Called Miah for an update & when are we collecting the keys & she said ' Nobody has been in contact with you? I'm going to make a few calls and will be back to you in 10 mins' Got no call back, its been 50 minutes so I call again & said whats the update? She gave me a number to call & 'he has information for you ' Called that number about 5 times nobody answered. I get onto the phone to Miah again after many attempts of her not answering she finally picks up the phone & wouldn't give me any information. I get a call back from the number Miah has given me & he told us they have cancelled your offer even though it has been accepted , paid for & signed by all 3 tenants saying ' oh it was actually a 1 shared household HMO license' We cannot rent this 3 bedroom flat to you...Didn't get a sorry of anybody, they had no answers for us why this happened as its been discussed number of times. We asked them to apply for the correct license of the council & they wouldn't. We were constantly sending emails to miah & katie but none of them would reply. We've been promised call backs of seniors & people high above & of course did not get one email or call back. The situation they have left us in is so horrific leaving us homeless in the next couple of days. I have never experienced customer service at this level. Truly shambolic & I can't wrap my head around it they can get away with stuff like this.Money has been refunded but it will take 5 working days to refund & of course the refund was submitted at Lunch time that day not informing us with a email of receipt.. when I am trying to call everyone in their what is happening. I would give these lot a minus 5 star if i could!! Please do not get one of your dummy robots to reply with an email for complaints rather than pass this on & get someone to contact me especially Miah & Katie taking £4,200 away from us & then no say a word & leaving us Homeless!!! I am still baffled none of them have been in contact with us after taking £4,200 & knowing we are moving out. Again if anybody has any help out there be much appreciated. Truly shocking service....

TrustpilotSavills Tenancy Review
The whole experience from check-in to check-out has been very professional and reliable. Much of this is due to property manager Lauren Sullivan, who has organized all appointments for me and has been quick to reply and help with any problems I have had during my tenancy. It really has been the best tenancy experience I have had in London. Thanks Lauren!

Fantastic service. I worked with Emma and Sam as my sole agents on my sale. I chose Savills as they gave a realistic and genuine valuation rather than an inflated one to win the mandate. TrustpilotAbsolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service! 1) even though we had a signed contract to move into the rental in April, they informed us that the current tenant will be staying on and we were only going to be granted access the the property 12 June. The very day I was due to give birth to my first baby. I had to move house while having contractions.2) we repeatedly told Savills about repairs required to the property (broken tiles that had cut my childs foot, hot water and taps often not working, leaking showers, windows slipping open during a cold front) and when they finally sent a repair man to fix it he informed me that he had been given specific instructions by Savills to not repair most of it. The repair man then offered to fix the windows regardless as to have it jammed was against fire safety regulations and he found it ruthlessly cruel to leave a window broken when there was a 4 month old baby sleeping in that room. This was all during the worst cold front of the year3) upon our exit of the property when we moved to UK, Savills tried to make us pay for removal of items that had been left by the previous tenant4) Savills, on many occasions, were in breach of the rental contract T&Cs and repeatedly tried to charge us for things that had been specifically noted and agreed upon in the exclusions report we signed when we moved in.

TrustpilotSavills of Stamford - bad experience
Our experience Savills agent in Stamford was not a good one. In our recent dealings with him we felt he was not only deceitful and unprofessional but also professionally negligent. Over several weeks he failed to return phone calls or respond to multiple emails, but then he knew he had omitted to tell us about subsidence in a property they were marketing. As a result, we ended up financially disadvantaged. Savills internal complaints procedure was fairly farcical to say the least, with laughable attempts to obfuscate. The legal advice we received was that we had a strong case for professional negligence but of course nothing is guaranteed and Savills made it clear they would look to recover their legal costs if we were unsuccessful in prosecuting our case. We just didn’t want to take the risk, but different times and different circumstances and we would have relished the opportunity to face them in a court of law. As it was we settled for a refund on some expenses and a £500 goodwill gesture - a fraction of what this experience cost us. There are good Estate Agents out there - but our experience suggests Savills in Stamford is certainly not one of them.Whatever Head of Customer Relation says in response to this review should be taken with a high degree of scepticism - this a company we now actively and strongly advise all our friends and acquaintances to avoid. Clearly there is a lot of background to this but I’m sure you can sense our dismay at having been treated so badly by a company we would have thought we could trust - but then their other review ratings should tell you something!

I rented a flat via Savills on a full management agreement. They were useless. They did not carry out the required regular checks unless I prompted them , so many different people working at the company and a huge turnover of staff . The check out was appalling they sub all the work out and they really do not care about the landlord . Will never use this company again . Very very poor .

TrustpilotShocking service
I should note at the start of this review that the one star is solely for the management of the Green, rather than the accommodation itself. The flat I had was modern and nicely equipped, just a tad overpriced. However the management are shockingly poor, when we moved in we were told over messages that we would receive a welcome pack over email, however after several times chasing it still took days for us to receive this, which meant we struggled to get basic things like the heating and hot water turned on as it was not a simple system and we had no instructions anywhere. We also could not begin to setup any utilities as we were not informed which companies were used etc...During our time there, if we ever needed anything from the management (such as access to the meter for a meter reading) it would take several requests from us and days (or even weeks) before getting a response. If you try to phone the office 9/10 times there is no answer and WhatsApp messages were read and ignored.Partly due to this, we have decided to move out - and unfortunately the moving out procedure has been much of the same. We were given ZERO information on how to return keys etc.. and in the end I had to contact the office to ask what they wanted me to do. I was told that the check out would be done a couple of days after I moved out, and then it would be 3-5 days for the deposit to be returned to me. It has now been 10 days since I moved, and I have not had any response to messages asking how the checkout is going, and when I can receive my deposit back. I shall be lodging a complaint with Savills (who manage this location now) and if it goes on any longer I will go to the Ombudsman. This is ridiculous, I can understand delays in getting the deposit back but to have zero response from management is not acceptable. In summary, at the Green you will most likely get good quality accommodation but beware you get frustratingly poor service while there.
