GoogleMy experience with Goodlord was, without question, one of the most frustrating and stressful customer service experiences I have ever had.
What should have been a straightforward referencing process became days on end of unnecessary stress due to technical failures, inconsistent advice and poor customer support.
The biggest issue was the complete lack of consistency in the information provided. Throughout the process, I, my guarantors and my letting agent were repeatedly given conflicting advice by different members of the customer service team. We were told different documents were required, only to later be told that the documents we had already submitted were in fact correct.
My guarantors, spent hours trying to complete the verification process. When the bank verification failed through no fault of their own, they were eventually instructed to upload highly sensitive banking documentation instead. They spent well over an hour and a half on the phone trying to resolve issues that should never have existed in the first place.
After extensive investigation by my letting agent, Goodlord eventually identified that there were two separate technical faults on my application. These internal errors had been preventing the application from progressing correctly and explained why everyone involved had been receiving different information throughout the process.
What made the experience even more unacceptable was that, even after these technical issues had been identified and corrected, we were still being given conflicting advice regarding the banking documentation. It was only after several more days of repeatedly contacting customer support, spending lengthy periods on hold and continually pushing for further clarification and review that we were finally informed that the sensitive banking documentation we had already provided was actually correct all along. Had we simply accepted the initial responses, the application would have remained unnecessarily delayed.
Throughout the process, every call to customer support required going through the chatbot first just to obtain a PIN to join the phone queue, often with unpredictable waiting times. Even after all of the ongoing issues and multiple calls, I requested a direct point of contact due to the complexity of the situation, but was told this wasn't possible and that I would have to continue using the chatbot every single time. The lack of case ownership meant I had to explain the entire situation from the beginning on every call and that myself, my guarantors and the letting agent continuously received inaccurate guidance and information.
The most disappointing part is that none of this would have been resolved had my letting agent, my guarantors and I not continually challenged the information we were being given and pushed for further investigation. We collectively spent countless hours trying to fix problems that ultimately originated within Goodlord's own system.
A truly disappointing experience, and one I sincerely hope no other tenant or guarantor has to go through.

GoogleMy experience with Goodlord was very disappointing. The referencing process was stressful and unclear, and despite providing documents, they were rejected without sufficient explanation or practical support to resolve the issue.
The situation became even more frustrating because the holding deposit was retained, which felt unfair given the lack of clear guidance and communication throughout the process, and receiving only automatic requests or replies.

Googlethe whole process needs looking at reviewing when trying to fill application in for renting a property.
its tedious , repetitive and because its all automated if any problems occur uploading documents ir becomes impossible
uploaded documents , i.d.s dozens of times and conforms this when done but then on next sections ot asks again for the same thing, bank statements, i d.s share bank details etc
its an absolute nightmare and for elderly people it would be impossible.
landlords if reading this dont use good lord for new tennant applications.
i work in Administration and its so complicated i could understand why people feel so frustrated with it.

GoogleChat bot run arounds, disputed referencing, endless “no-reply” emails asking for more referencing documents, failure to verify through government share codes and Equifax credit bureau reports. Overall worst leasing referencing company I’ve ever had to go through. Good luck ever getting a human in contact to resolve issues. Out of date support and referencing department links on their emails sent to me pictured above. Just the tip of the iceberg of a messy company.

GoogleExtremely poor website trying to do a guarantor reference.
A waste of time going through the virtual assistant, with no direct customer support.
State agents should never use Goodlord as a referencing company.

GoogleTerrible service start to finish. Fortunately our agents are jumping through hoops to get us sorted. But it shouldn't be as difficult as Goodlord make it.

GoogleI am a member of the Leadership Group and also attend numerous events each year that are put on by The Property Academy. They really do achieve their four I's:
Information. Insight. Ideas. Inspiration. I always come away feeling energized and with lots of good ideas to implement and develop and I always find it worthwhile.
On top of that, they are lovely people too. Give them a ring, I am sure they can help you as much as they have helped me

GoogleOne of the best decisions I made was to join the Leadership Group about five years ago. As a sole owner it is invaluable to meet other owners of estate agencies in an non competitive environment to share ideas and issues. The speakers are always thought provoking and I come away revitalised, ready to go again within my own business. I've made good friends there too.

GoogleI am part of a Leadership Group which meets 6 times a year. I have found the content of these meetings to be exceptionally good, especially the tightness in which it is chaored by Peter and the guest speakers who always inspire and motivate me with new or refreshed thoughts and concepts.
Highly recommended by me.

KerfuffleSupportive trusted advisors
We have much to thank Property Academy for. A team of real 'doers' who help us achieve what we previously thought was impossible. Creative thinkers, ruthlessly efficient as well as being a wonderful group of people. For us the concept in its simplest form is to share ideas and strategies in a collaborative way with agents who want to make a difference. A regular line up of diverse, seasoned, professional speakers ensures we always come away with nuggets to improve our business.

KerfuffleReally positive
The chance to get together with a group of estate agents, who do not operate in my patch, to discuss current ideas and issues. And all chaired by the fabulous Peter Knight, whose industry expertise and ability to problem solve and see an innovative solution is first class. It's like meeting a group of friends who totally understand my industry specific issues and want to help you with your estate agency business journey.

Property Academy delivers real value to my world. Peter's insights and vision married to the quality of speakers make for amazing 'delivered' content and all inside of a safe collaborative space with other agents.... In my experience the groups are suitably varied and are not necessarily made up of 'like minded' agents... this is beautiful. In essence, Peter, the speakers and the other Property Academy members force you to think... and think again.
