Really really poor experience with Dexters Shoreditch. For those looking to rent with Dexters, I would be weary of taking any meaning out of the positive reviews, as these are almost all given at the point of securing a tenancy (or sale), so its in Dexters' interests to preserve good customer service at this point for the commission and also to harvest reviews (which they will ask you for). Almost immediately after this point the customer service went downhill for me. Every issue I had with my Landlord Dexters displayed an amazing apathy saying they couldn't intervene as my property was managed by my Landlord. They even told me (when the Landlord delayed in returning my deposit after my tenancy) that it was my responsibility to chase him to this extent. And even on getting my apartment cleaned professionally at the end of the lease Dexters wanted to deduct almost £300 for re-cleaning the apartment from the deposit for some unknown reason (they pointed to some "slight dust" aparently on one surface). I've currently disputed this with the tenancy deposit protection scheme. Most of the agreements relating to my tenancy drafted by Dexters were litered with spelling mistakes of my name even after my correction which shows show a lack of care (it's not that hard, it's literally just the French spelling of one of the most popular names globally). This has honestly been the worst renting experience I've had by far. I'm a solo tenant and have never had a deduction from a deposit (take it as a starting point that Dexters will deduct from your deposit, and find an excuse). I've also never experienced such a combative Landlord to the extent that I mutually agreed to leave the tenancy early for my peace of mind. Dexters fail to understand despite their jobs that a home is the most important expedture for people ad as you spend most of your time there a nasty experience really does leak into other areas of your wellbeing. Terrible experience - AVOID!

Paris arranged for the Khinda Building Works Ltd to attend our premises to conduct some repairs. 10/10 for effort at business winning 0/10 for performance!…

We were badgered by Dexter’s for years so decided last summer to instruct them on a letting. They over promised on the rent they could achieve so we missed the window to secure tenants before the autumn. We also then instructed them to sell as we were receiving no rent . They failed to produce a single credible offer on either basis. We instructed Goldschmidts who found a buyer and at a strong price within a matter of weeks. I’m prompted to write today as we received probably the third cold call from Dexters as the old property is now for rent via the new owners . We told Dexters on at least 2 previous occasions that we had sold the property so I wish they could be more efficient/ professional in all they do.

I have used this estate agent incompetent stafffor…

I have used this estate agent for letting my property for nearly 4 years. For the first three years, I couldn’t fault them, but the staff have Changed hands and I would not recommend them. The majority of staff are incompetent they make so many mistakes and their Fees are high. I did complain to the director and it was a waste of my time. My last tenancy agreement they failed to put in a break clause and I’m now unable to break free of them unless I give them vast amounts of money. Although I have to ride this out, I will not be using them again in the future. I do not recommend them.
