GoogleNot had the greatest experience with Martin and co in all honesty. Moved into a property that we were aware of “Some issues” and there’s a lot more than explained. The property was supposed to be cleaned, which didn’t happen and the carpets were supposed to be cleaned again didn’t happen, so we moved into a property that’s more than most to rent, that wasn’t even cleaned! Constantly having to chase for updates on things to be fixed. Still nothing has been actioned it’s all “ half hearted” with no apology. If want to be constantly ignored and have issues coming out of your ears without them being resolved, then this is the right estate agency for you!

GoogleI can't possibly speak too highly of this excellent firm of estate agents. They have been incredibly helpful to me on more than one occasion, when I was looking for a property to rent. What has impressed me more than anything is the desire they have to provide first-class service, coupled with the fact that they always treat you with the greatest of respect. I'm sorry to say that I messed them around quite a bit, due to some temporary problems I was experiencing. Nevertheless, they invariably dealt with me in a kind, efficient and positive manner. I think they deserve an enormous amount of credit for that. Highly recommended!

FacebookThese reviewers must be getting paid by Martin and co most horrendous company I’ve dealt with from the director also which is even more shocking. Myself and my partner buying our first home together worked and saved hard for this, viewed a property loved it bid eventually got accepted was told by sue that we were perfect as we’re not in a chain encouraged us to up our offer and believed the vendor would sell to us and take it off the market that day as this would be a quick sale could be done for the owner. We sent all our info required on the same day to be told there was only 1 other interested party who needed to sell there property. Asked us to get all of our information sent over immediately and that the property would then be marked as under offer. So we upped our offer got this accepted got all information require to secure this and she then become unavailable (out of the office all day ) She leaves us in the dark for two days when calling no one else could help because she was the one dealing with this. 48hours later called to tell us this other party have now sold there property there offer has now been accepted on This property from the Monday ??? Yet we only had ours accepted that Monday at 16.25pm no communication with ourselves and no opportunity to bid again as this was a done deal.But came back with I have another property not yet on the market if you would be interested . Absolutely NO was warned about this women and this estate agents . Don’t think they realise it’s peoples lives they are playing with but as long as her pockets lined . No apology Disgusted with this service and would never want to buy a property from a such dishonest and unprofessional company .

FacebookAfter a year of frustrations with another agent (not all their fault but...) we asked Martin and Co to help us sell mum's bungalow. I wish we'd moved earlier. Sue and Lucy and the whole team were excellent - professional, proactive and kind. They pulled out all the stops (even during a national pandemic and lockdown!) and the sale went through yesterday. A fantastic service, I cannot recommend them enough!

GoogleVery professional team. Moving into our new home was amazing thanks to them Fast forward 2 years and I had to change my review. As amazing as the moving in part was, moving out and being hit with a bill for the redecorating of the whole house was sneaky and unprofessional. Wish I had known from the start to keep every last bit of detail from moving in, to conversations had with the team and keeping receipts of any repairs done ourselves as they took too long to get back to us with maintenance issues etc. I won’t trust an estate agent ever again. I will note everything to the smallest detail for the next time I need to fight to keep my deposit from funding someone’s complete redecorating.

House was sold so quickly and help was always available. All the staff in the office in Guisborough are helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Would recommend Martin and Co to anyone I know who needs help and advice on selling / buying a home.

I am sorry that you feel that you have been let down by our communication. I have reviewed our systems and believe that your particular concern was due to the deposit being witheld at the end of your tenancy. I can see that all of our systems have been followed, including the sending out of the pre-vacating instructions and that you were notified of a claim against your deposit, which could have been disputed for free using the DPS ADR resolution facility, however, I can see that you accepted the claim in full and as such your deposit was held in full. If your review was not based on the above, I urge you to please contact the office in order for us to review and respond directly to you to resolve any on-going issues you may have.
