Poor experience

Absolutely useless service. No surprise that people could not sell with this agents. Wanted a viewing but after multiple calls over a week, manged to get an appointment. When actually got there, the tenants were not informed of the booked visit. Promised a call back to rearrange the appt, but nothing. No responses even after leaving so many messages with the team. Very poor and unprofessional service. I wouldn't use them to buy, sell or manage my lets after this experience. What a disappointing experience 😪.

A HUGE thank you to Sophie , without her I don’t think we would have seen this day collecting the keys! From day one wanting to view the home we had to wait a week for a space however Sophie was able to get us in the same day after our work hours. We agreed to put an offer in that same night and since then Sophie has always been fast at replying to us, involving us in everything, getting the ball rolling ASAP, being so helpful with so much information and support as we have no experience, letting us know what steps are next to expect and lastly getting us the keys to our first home! 🔑 We cannot Thankyou enough, a credit to Reed rains 🏡 🔑 ❤️

Chaos, inexperience, under qualified

Staff do not have a clue what they are doing by the looks of it, received so many documents littered with so many errors from all kinds of departments that do not communicate with one another. They dodge questions and facts like politicians or criminals, too scared to tell the landlord when he is wrong and unlawful or breach of their own terms of a tenancy agreement. Negligent or maybe even considered fraudulent tampering of notices to make their documents appear valid. Even down to simple maths (KS1 addition that my 6 year old could complete) they do not seem to be able to grasp. Denial demonstrated on all things that they are incorrect about, which I’m clever enough to have all in emails/writing. I’m embarrassing to have this agent operating, I’m not saying I know everything but I’ve had to correct and school them on a lot of aspects of our tenancy, so much so that I’m tempted to send them an invoice for my time! Avoid this agent at all costs, they side with landlords even if they are in the wrong and simply do as they are told by their clients, this isn’t always the right or ethical thing to do and certainly In need of some training/business transformation or redundancies. Avoid!

Many thanks to the Pemberton branch of the Reeds Rains team, especially Jemma, Nicky, Emma and Alan (the sales person who dealt with the viewings on our property). Their professionalism, knowledge and help shone through from our first meetings. From five viewings of the house four offers were made on the same day and this resulted with an offer being accepted within one day! Whenever making a telephone call to their office you can always guarantee a friendly and helpful reception.

We recently bought our house through Reeds Rains Bamber Bridge and had the amazing Alison help us from the very start and right until we collected the keys. Alison was extremely helpful and was always on the other end of the phone for any advice or if we needed to go to the house again. As we were reaching completion she was on the ball and in discussion with the seller, solicitors as well as me and my partner to ensure we completed on the agreed date. She really took us under her wing as we were first time buyers and didn't have much of a clue so we were very grateful to have her throughout the process.

Good customer service and patience

Zoe and Ellie at the St Helens branch has been of great help to me. Zoe was quick in asking for permission from the landlord, dealt with all my enquirers and persistent phone calls just to help get my rented property. It ha s been a stressful journey for me but as soon as I met Reed rains everything has been smoothly. Ellie on the other hand, made sure everything was settled and acted on swiftly and accordingly. Emily was fantastic throughout the whole process, she was friendly and professional throughout and was able to find out answers to any of our questions in a timely fashion. Emily was able to keep us up to date with the purchase of our recent property and chase the solicitors on both sides which helped considerably especially when our solicitor sent the details through to a wrong email address at the firm. Having a person who we could trust and pass the information onto the sellers and relay back with helped through the whole process and sped things up as much as possible. Would definitely recommend using them to anyone else and in particular Emily.

Adele is a blessing to the CONGLETON BRANCH

I have been letting a few properties out with different agents over the years but my recent property letting in Congleton was the most stress-free and comfortable process I have experienced. Adele took care of the whole process and got everything sorted for me, she came out to the property within a day and I have never met a more bubbly and enthusiastic person. She told me she had only just started at Reeds Rains but I wouldn't have guessed it from her confidence and knowledge. Most agents just want to get in and get out as soon as possible but all we could do was chat about my experiences with my previous lettings and also how Adele is just moving into her new house with her partner.After Adele came round, the Congleton branch kept in touch and updated me on all the applications. I now have some amazing people renting my property and I owe that to them.If you want a stress-free and smooth experience then I wouldn't go to anyone else! Ask for Adele too!

DiscriminatoryPhoned up wanting to view a property only to be informed that as one of the prospective tenants was on benefits that a guarantor was required, irrespective of any other information ie age or rental history or even type of benefit.They tar all benefits claimants with the same brush.I understand the need for a guarantor but to require one based on one single criteria is discrimination.

Scored 1 because I can't give negative. Appalling rental company who should be ashamed of their total lack of tenant care. I was lied to directly by them on multiple occasions, twice left for 3 months without an oven and no care on their part to ensure it was resolved. Then their disgraceful moving out team made me wait just short of 3months for my deposit back and pathetic excuses given, had to take them to deposit dispute to get it back. Avoid at all costs

Don't use to let your house

This company is the worst company I could ever imagine, whoever you go with go with anyone but this firm. I have had a tenant destroy my home, they did not visit for 10 months until end of tenancy and have to argue and wait 100 days to get deposit back even though they have all the evidence. They are a shambles especially Prescot office who basically lie to what they say, Mark my words you will regret using this company as I have and will never do any business with them. Now I have to pay £120 as he is disputing the deposit return, agreed to £500 but have to fight £200. Company is on their side they never visited and are to blame for letting the house get into the state it was. Please whatever you do never go with this firm.

Waste of time

Basically everything they do is show up to a viewing, after that they go AWOL , been chasing them constantly for the past few days after I have been told by the agent - Charlotte that someone else already put in an offer to the flat that I so much wanted . She highly recommended to call urgently at the office by 4 pm same day of the viewing (it was about 3:30 pm when we had this conversation) and her colleagues will help me out with starting the process. I am still calling 5 days later until they even decided to hung up every time I’m trying to call . Whenever they answered before that , Charlotte was never in the office and no one else was apparently dealing with the property. Well , you just wasted a week in my house hunting chasing you. Avoid at all cost if your time is precious.

Wasters and money grabbers spastics for staff!

If I could put 0 stars I would! Reeds rains are the worst letting agents to go with the 4.5 years we’ve lived in our property in Bidford on Avon we’ve had problems with property. (Twice this happened)Boiler took them 3 weeks to sort we had no hot water for 3 weeks they didn’t care!! shower broke took them a month to sort they didn’t care! To top everything we’ve just moved out of the property and they’re only giving us half of our deposit back because the grass in the garden was long and they’ve had to cut it ( that’s because they’ve waited 3 weeks to check property) I might add!! They have no ppl skills no customer service couldn’t give a toss about anyone but themselves! Absolute morons I’ve been waiting nearly a month for my deposit back they’ve is saying it’s gonna be another 5/10 days! REALLY!!! Don’t go with these morons people they can’t organise a p**s up in a brewery in my eyes!

James Segal and his team of Macclesfield Reeds Rains did a superb job of presenting ,marketing and selling of our property over a ten week period. James did a perfect presentation from start to finish and in particular Jaya is worthy of note, she became the go-between to us and our buyers and was always available to answer question and chase solicitors etc. All in all considering we have bought and sold in excess of 15 houses this was the most pleasant and professional experience that we have encountered in regard to estate agents. Ignorant and clueless

Up till now I've had no issues, but my rent was due and after several days with no request for payment I decided to email them and ask what was happening, several days later no reply. Email again, no reply. Call the local branch who apparently don't deal with my address anymore and don't know who does. Not wanting to go into arrears I contact the letting department on a Southampton number, eventually they say you need to contact our other department, give me a number, once again they didn't know about any arrangements made previously about paying in advance etc. Basically I had to CHASE MYSELF FOR THE RENT. Absolutely disgraceful ignorant company and it's not the first time I have asked them something only to be completely ignored. Don't bother replying because I'm not interested.

Reeds rains is the worst agency I have ever come across. They don’t fix or maintain the house but instead send you to the landlord who will refuse to fix anything. You would expect reeds rains to contact the landlord to fix things as you rented it through them. Any one looking to rent around Durham watch out for 8 Helmsley Close dl17 7qp as landlord will not fix anything and the bath leaks down to the dining area which I believe they have just painted over and you will start to notice it after a few months. And the worst thing is if you decide to move out they will keep your deposit. Don’t forget to use environmental health before thinking about moving.
