GoogleAtrocious, unethical and single-handedly the worst letting agency I have come across.
They tried their luck by withholding our deposit with no grounds - saying that we caused damage to the property when it was just normal wear and tear which was in fact already recorded as part of their inventory report i.e.: was damage that existed before we moved in.
The customer service throughout our tenancy was awful - things that were reported requiring repair were ignored - thereby being left to get worse. For example, door handles were not securely screwed in when we moved in and nothing was done to fix these - leaving the door handles to basically be coming off or hanging off the door by the end of the tenancy.
Rubbish was left in the garden area that represented months of trash from neighbours and perhaps previous tenants that we had to clean up ourselves despite multiple requests to have this sorted. We had to source the key ourselves to the garden area as it had been locked and left an awful stench. Belvoir were not helpful at all in supporting us with this.
In the end, we simply filed a claim against them via the Deposit Protection Scheme outlining all the above and attaching photos of what it looked like when we had moved in, including the inventory report. This resulted in us getting our deposit back from them. Nice try Belvoir, at least others hopefully won’t have to go through this after reading our experiences.
