If I could give zero stars I would. I had the unfortunate experience of trying to buy a property through these agents. I’m going to leave names out of it, but from the start it was an absolutely horrible and costly experience. After 3 months of stress I ultimately had to walk away from the purchase. From the jump, agents were rude when handling my offer, and the young female solicitor seemed clueless and arrogant. They accepted our offer knowing there was an issue on the property which the home report stated, and a retention was recommended. They weren’t even aware of this and put pressure on us to pay for the work. The home report I seen very early on did not show a retention, so big mistakes were made and they were negligent in saying my lender was the problem. I would never recommend this outfit to anybody. Had my agents not discounted the work done in the conveyancing, I’d be chasing this through small claims for their practice. Avoid.

I genuinely can't say enough good things about Kate and her team at Masson Cairns. They've been an absolute delight to deal with for our Inverness house sale/purchase and have gone above and beyond to make sure things happened smoothly. The whole thing was handled very professionally but at the same time in a very friendly manner. Communication was excellent, we were kept informed and guided at every step of the way. Wasted my time by telling me All about his Experience & how he was going to market the property , then when I said at the moment we only wanted to market it as commercial with him instead of both commercial and residential he (Scott). Just gave us the brush off even though he made a big thing about how many B&B he’d sold in my area of the Cairngorms. AVOID at all costs. Useless and arrogant. Shame can’t give ZERO stars.

Very poor service. Didn't bother telling us of a closing date despite having viewing arranged.........appreciate you responding to me review but you should have informed all viewers, not just those with notes of interest. Not bothered about the dump of a property anyway so it's not about missing out. It's about having the courtesy to tell someone who is travelling a long way to do a viewing that the closing date is the following day! Thanks :)

All parties with noted interests were notified of the closing date and indeed it was advertised fully online for all to see a week before. How this estate agents get mainly 5 stars , I will never know. If you talk the staff , they are really pleasant and helpful, however, if you speak to Scott, it's a different matter. I am from Essex and was brought up in a small village. Being close to London and being very rural, You've guessed it, I cannot afford a property there anymore. I'm retiring now and in health, probably won't last many more years , so it would be so good to live my last days in Grantown, it would be heaven. Whenever I speak to Scott, he is so negative about everything, I just think he hates southerners. I can understand, how he would dislike some of the people down south, but don't tar everyone with the same brush. We get quite a lot of Scott's coming down here for work and are welcomed and treated with respect. Speaking to other professionals and residents in Grantown, I am not alone with my views of this company.

We used Masson Cairns for two purchases (the first never completed due to the start of the pandemic!) based on their quick, professional responses when initially getting quotes. Annike continued to provide excellent service and advice, so we went back to them when we put in an offer on a second property a year later. They've been extremely reliable, and provided good advice. They also managed to hit some pressurised, extremely important, deadlines so that we could transfer on the initially agreed handover date,for which we are extremely grateful.
