Barrie McClure was in charge of the sale and his professionalism, expertise and communication skills were exemplary. OMG, what a jurney...I can highly recomend McMillan McClure! I would mark them with 10 starts if I could! From the very begining Jack McKillen and Jim McMillan have ofered the best ever customer jurney for puchasing a property. Communication was amazing and we were always kept up to date with the progres. Our property was "special" and I can honestly say that both Jack and Jim have been very patient, kind, and went absolutly above and beyond to make sure that everything is in order. We had a very disappointing experience renting with McMillan McClure (September, September). Early in the tenancy, we reported a persistent leak from the ensuite shower. Despite repeated calls, emails, and multiple contractor visits, the issue dragged on for months before being properly addressed. Communication was consistently poor. Our concerns were often dismissed, even with photographic evidence. Replies frequently arrived outside working hours, due to this we requested phone contact however this was ignored. Instead, the team began sending formal letters rather than making simple calls, making communication slow and frustrating. When we raised ongoing concerns, we were told we could end the tenancy if unhappy, rather than being offered help. After weeks of delays and ineffective “repairs,” we withheld part of our rent to prompt action; this was later deducted from our deposit, even though the leak and resulting mould soon reappeared. (The picture below including the woodlice was after ‘repairs’ had been carried out). We received a small rent reduction for running a dehumidifier but no compensation for being unable to safely use the shower for several months. We requested a second opinion, a second contractor attended the apartment and confirmed the shower needed full replacement, McMillan McClure chose another who merely patched it. The second contractor warned that this would not fix the issue. Their insistence the shower was safe to use during this time showed a lack of understanding and care. Overall, the rental team were unhelpful, dismissive, and at times borderline threatening, acting primarily in the landlord’s interest. We ultimately bought a property through another company as a result. The property was re-listed soon after we left, with a rent increase, despite the same unresolved maintenance problem. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise prospective tenants to proceed with caution and keep thorough records of all maintenance issues. Given the agency’s approach to communication and accountability, we fully expect them to contest this review, but the evidence speaks for itself.

I can't recommend McMillan McClure enough. The entire team were superb. They dealt with the sale of my late father's house, our family home, which was obviously a very emotional thing for for us.
