GoogleI tried to book a viewing for a property I was interested in auctioning. I called on a Friday to arrange it, and the viewing was scheduled for the following Monday at 12pm. They confirmed the time over the phone, but I never received any follow-up email or text confirmation.
Concerned, I called at 9:30am on Monday - just 2.5 hours before the scheduled viewing. I don’t live nearby, so I would need at least an hour to get there. Warren answered the call and assured me the viewing was still going ahead, saying that "the verbal confirmation was the confirmation". He then repeated several times that "you know where you're going, you just needed reassurance."
Reassurance?? This isn’t about reassurance - this is basic professional communication. Wanting a point of contact on the day is not unreasonable, especially since OPA operates out of Scotland and depends on people in London to manage viewings locally.
I’d rearranged my entire work day to attend this viewing. As someone who is self-employed, this cost me a significant amount of time and money. I showed up early and waited outside for 30 minutes. As suspected, no one came.
I called OPA, who redirected me to someone named Elijah, who then gave me Salah’s number. I found myself standing outside, trying to get through to three different people, with no clarity or coordination.
Warren insisted he'd done all he could from Scotland and didn’t understand why no one had shown up. Elijah wasn’t involved in the actual viewing but helped pass me along to Salah. And that’s where things really fell apart.
Salah repeatedly lied. First, he claimed he went to the wrong address - yet he only called me at 1pm. Are we supposed to believe he stood at the wrong address for a full hour without contacting me? My call log shows I had to reach out to him first at 12:30pm, which strongly suggests he had no intention of getting in touch until prompted.
Eventually, we texted and agreed to reschedule the viewing for Tuesday at 12pm. I told him on the phone that I didn’t trust the process at this point. His response? "It doesn't matter what you think, trust me, just trust me."
Then, Tuesday morning at 8am, he messaged to say "they have changed it to Wednesday at 9am." I asked who "they" were. Later, he said, "I need to take my 5-year-old to A&E." Bare in mind, Salah had lied to me quite easily on the phone beforehand -- all his words are empty empty.
Wednesday at 9am is when the auction starts. Common sense?
At this point, I’m done bending over backwards for a company this poorly managed. This experience has left me with zero confidence. If this is how things are before anything is even signed, I can only imagine the chaos that would follow if someone actually won a bid and had to go through the paperwork process with them.

Dear Wing Kei,
I apologise for you being messed about with this viewing. We were instructed to use the sellers management agents in London which is what we had done. We are very angry with Elijah, Salah and anyone else who has contributed to this set of circumstances.
We have spoken with the seller of this property today and made them fully aware of the situation. I can assure you of our commitment to you and we will always do our best for our sellers and buyers.
We will be in touch this morning to try and rearrange the appointment for you.
Thank you

Google£3k auction fee for a £7k garage. Ridiculous. Your a mug if you pay 3k on top of the actual price of the property. and if you watch the auction the opa staff are obviously fake bidding themselves because its remarkable the amount of lots which fall 1k short of the reserve price.

GoogleAbsolutely cannot recommend these guys enough. They’re incredibly professional, very prompt and communicative. They sold a property of mine within six weeks and at a higher price, something two other companies failed to do in two years. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

GoogleThis company is extremely loose with the truth and descriptions, and completely untrustworthy. They are on the ball however when it comes to charging for the displeasure of dealing with them. Be very aware of dealing with these people.
