GoogleAlastair was absolutely brilliant in helping us in what was a very complex conveyancing case. Had a bad experience with another solicitor firm and Alastair at Inksters stepped in at the last minute to take over, his attention to detail was well noted and I am positive we would not have completed our house purchase if it were not for him. Would recommend to everyone.

Wish I could give zero stars! I called first thing on Monday expecting a local office in Shetland. It went through to Glasgow who decided that Thurso would be my closest office.. d'oh... no! Glasgow is much easier for me to get to. But anyways, I was promised a call that day. I requested asap! Well, this is Thursday evening and no call this week so far! Too late anyway as I've got my answer from another local company!

If I could give zero i would..B inkster is crap..we have waited 10yrs for title deeds from this company...the law society do nothing to this shoddy company..what to do to get them to do there job...they taken advantage of someone on the spectrum..my family member..there happy to admit there are in the wrong but do nothing to resolve it.. Disappointed.. and disgusting.

GoogleGerald at Inksters Solicitors was recommended to us by our mortgage broker. Gerald went above and beyond in helping us secure our property. He was always was really helpful and friendly and was really detailed-orientated in all of the legal work. When there were some issues with the house purchase, Gerald was amazingly helpful in giving us advice and guidance and worked hard (and late hours!) to ensure our house purchase went through. Highly recommended! Really appreciate all of the work! Thanks

Google21 COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED TO THE SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION ABOUT INKSTERS. Inksters Solicitors Glasgow have put our family through hell over a period of 2 years and 4 months and our health suffered as a direct result of this firms behaviour. 2 YEARS 4 MONTHS is the time it took for them to finalise our late mothers estate and charge a STAGGERING £22572 for the work. No property involved just 13 investments that needed to be cashed in. STEPHANIE CHRISTIE CARMICHAEL AND BRIAN INKSTER are without doubt the worst solicitors I have encountered in my entire life. The amount of mistakes that occurred during the process was just unbelievable leading us to lodge 21 complaints to the SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION who then referred some of them to the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND. The SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION investigation led to them deciding that the level of service was below what should be expected of a firm of Solicitors and they were ORDERED TO PAY £2100 compensation to our family. Mistakes included sending me FINANCIAL DETAILS OF 117 OTHER CLIENTS MATTERS that they were also dealing with. A shocking betrayal of these clients TRUST never mind 117 breaches of CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY and DATA BREACHES. I am in possession of a confidential e mail from STEPHAINE CHRISTIE CARMICHAEL to BRIAN INKSTER where she makes a derogatory comment about me. This was reported to the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND under a misconduct complaint. My now retired financial advisor has more than 50 clients who have dealings with Inksters recently and almost every one has terminated their relationship with this firm and at least half of them have lodged formal complaints some of which are also now with the SCOTTISH LEGAL COMPLAINTS COMMISSION and also the LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND for INVESTIGATION My opinion of BRIAN INKSTER is that he is a self centered arrogant bully who needs to be called out for what he is You have been warned.

I have used other solicitors for this in the past, but Kevin’s attention to detail and fantastic ongoing communication, throughout the process made the sale so much it’s stressful than usual. He is now my go to solicitor for any future property sales. 100% recommend him.

GoogleReally strange conversation today(5/12) with Mr Stewart of Inksters, formerly of McCartney Stewart in Renfrew. My query was regarding my mother’s power of attorney which was finalised last year. A query however that I had been trying to find out about since 22/11. Mr Stewart said he no longer dealt with POAs & also didn’t have the staff to pass my query on to. My mother has been a paying client of McCartney Stewart for many years and as such expects a better service than that. I only hope when it comes to dealing with my mother’s Will, Mr Stewart doesn’t come up with the same answers! On checking Inksters website there is a solicitor quite clearly stated that deals with POAs. Maybe Mr Stewart was just having an off day?

The worst... deliberately ignored me for half a year for some bizarre reason, and that is after dropping the house I was bidding on *after* the offer was accepted for some bizarre reason. Wasted a year and a half because of them, besides the house! Horrible people. especially Charlotte!

Googlecomplete shambles..a complete and utterly waste of my 5 years using this firm and there solicitors....5 years and 5 figures down and 3 solicitors down to where i had to chase up work to find out the solicitors i was using left...im still being billed and still no work completed...complaint after complaint...failed telephone appointments failed on lack of care and duty as a firm....tried contacting brian who runs the firm back in january and february 2023 only to be ignored so i finally tracked down another solicitor to then be billed more from inksters before i recieved my files....what a cheek....cant reply to emails of compaints but handy enough to serve final bills and chase money!!!!!!! then!!!! then!!!!!.....on november 2023 adam johnson from the firm happily called to take on the complaints and issues only for me to find out he left around january 2024....so a very big report been put in to the law society.....big on promises but fail you everytime....anyone reading this please for the love of god....avoid....this firm can not be trusted......all my money savings i had gone and still to this day no further forward than where i was when i started using this firm back in 2019.....i have not long found out that all that had to be done from the firm was to contest perpetual interdict that i was served on n they have dragged out other work that was never needed....my trust to this firm and i have been robbed blind and ignored....gaslighted all the way through the use of this firm.....i have heart disease and been full on depression and suicidal attempts due to this firms failed promises failed actions and dis-respect and loss of every penny i had to them that i had to spend on so i can have a nice home for me and my kids......please anyone reading this.......STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM

GoogleAbsolute useless. I had a defamation case, it was urgent as ongoing via social media. I chased and chased them, it was embarrassing. I raised a complaint with the owner of the solicitor firm, hoping it would improve things. It didn’t. Seven weeks after contacting them they finally wrote to me, but only after I chased them 5 times. Stay away, they are utterly useless, they simply don’t respond. Disgusted by their service

GoogleAbsolute disaster of a firm. Took ages to deal with anything, last time I chased my solicitor I found out he had left months earlier but no one bothered to tell me and no one was allocated to my case. Then I contacted Brian who didn’t respond then came back eventually saying they had staffing issues and he had been ill. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Long story short I terminated with them on 31st August 2021 and despite 2 emails from me and 2 from my new solicitor he won’t hand my case files over so he’s now been reported to the law society. A colossal waste of time and money, empty promises and no delivery. A disgrace of a firm.

GoogleBelieve the negative reviews. My friends have just outlined over lunch the appalling saga they have gone through trying to contact this firm over a will. Completely unprofessional. Based on their experience I would think twice (or three times or four times) before doing business with Mr Inkster. Buyer beware.

GoogleAvoid dragged out process for months claimed to be ill then was passed to someone else in the firm who said they are working part time. once we got to the end was charged a ridiculous amount after doing most of the leg work our self and poor communication through out.
