Ignorant and clueless

Up till now I've had no issues, but my rent was due and after several days with no request for payment I decided to email them and ask what was happening, several days later no reply. Email again, no reply. Call the local branch who apparently don't deal with my address anymore and don't know who does. Not wanting to go into arrears I contact the letting department on a Southampton number, eventually they say you need to contact our other department, give me a number, once again they didn't know about any arrangements made previously about paying in advance etc. Basically I had to CHASE MYSELF FOR THE RENT. Absolutely disgraceful ignorant company and it's not the first time I have asked them something only to be completely ignored. Don't bother replying because I'm not interested.

The Reeds Rains team at Bamber Bridge…

The Reeds Rains team at Bamber Bridge branch were fantastic and we would highly recommend them. Communication was timely and clear when arranging viewings and feedback was meaningful (thanks Alison & Rebecca). Donna the branch manager negotiated the sale price on our behalf and kept in regular contact up to completion. We ended up in a chain of 8 homes which was a nightmare. Numerous issues and delays arose at various points in the chain resulting in 4 different dates for exchange & completion before we finally moved house. Rebecca and Donna were amazing during this period - they established communications with other estate agents, liaised brilliantly with solicitors and their forensic skills at getting to the bottom of delays in other parts of the chain and helping to resolve these if they could were excellent. We felt fully informed - even when things were beyond our control. They helped us remain optimistic whilst being fully informed. They had a great balance of friendliness and professionalism.

If I could rate 0 stars I would... sending emails that took weeks to get a reply or no reply at all, fast to take money for properties but couldn't be any slower to deal with issues. Reported multiple issues multiple times including blocked pipework that flooded the property that took 3 months to get a reply on after visiting the branch! Would not recommend this company, made my living experience horrendous! I could sit here all day and post about the quite frankly useless lettings agents but I've got better things to do. As I can't respond to the previous, I'm shocked they have no record of me existing... 223 cheriton road, the flat that needed a new roof for about 3 years that leaked masses of water every time it rained and when it was fixed the works made a mess of my internal structure cracked most the walls and this was all just left for over a year until I had enough and moved out with it still looking the same. Water damage caused all the paint to come off the walls constantly covering my entire bedroom anytime i had the window open meaning I had to strip strip the lose bits off and cover it in lining paper just to stop my bedroom becoming a mess!

We were so impressed with Reeds Rains Estate Agents. We were really pleased with the service Adam and Laura provided they were allways on hand to answer any phone calls and query's any time. They were great in getting my sale over the line. Adam and the Reeds team, could not have been more helpful or hard working than they were. We had 3 estate agents to come round and view our property and I instantly knew the good estate agent were going to be the team to get us the most money for our property & his knowledge of the Folkestone area was incredibly reassuring. On the day of our open house, Adam managed to get over 15 viewings and the next day we had 3 offers on the table for £20,000 more than the other 2 agents had told us we would get for it. I honestly cannot fault the team and I’ll make sure all of my friends and family use Adam and the Reeds estate agent to sell their houses. He and his colleagues made the whole process very straightforward and were available to help the entire time.

Reeds Rains in St. Helens/I am sold auction

Reeds Rains in St. Helens and especially Hayley Hughes and Steff Bretherton in my case have been incredibly helpful with both my rental property and also sale of my rental property through the" I am sold" auction website. I cannot praise them highly enough and also the ease of he "I am sold" auction for the quick and easy sale. I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND all to anyone in the property industry to work with them!!

waste of time

booked a viewing for Wednesday, they went through with the viewing, even though the listing had already been removed, which seemed dodgy. The agent said that the application package would be emailed to us in the morning, we called to double check where it was as it was already mid-day and they said it would be with us by the end of the day; however, the packages were never sent to us as the listing was clearly gone. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the way my recent property search was handled by your agency. The level of communication and mismanagement that I experienced throughout the process was absolutely unacceptable, leaving me feeling deceived and disheartened. Furthermore, I find it absolutely baffling that no one from your agency saw fit to inform me about the existence of a higher cash offer on the property. It was only through my own proactive initiative of contacting your agency that I learned about the competing offer. If I hadn't taken it upon myself to inquire, I can only assume that I would have been kept in the dark indefinitely. This lack of transparency and failure to communicate effectively is inexcusable and demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism.The entire ordeal has left me deeply saddened and questioning the integrity of your agency.

I’m not sure what their issue is but…

I’m not sure what their issue is but I’m starting to go down the route of discrimination. I applied to two different properties to rent and they sent me an application. I reduced the price on both properties with my offer. I heard back from Sophie stating that’s they have gone with another application and will let me know if it doesn’t go through. The next day that property was on rightmove again,for the exact price I wanted it for. I called, resubmitted my application, left voicemails you name it. They told me she was only working for one hour in the day and that she will contact me tomorrow. We are going on two days now and have heard absolutely nothing.The second property I put in an application for. They didn’t even get back to me. Just re andvertised again at a reduced price. Didn’t let us know, didn’t even try to renegotiate which we were open to.I don’t know if they have a problem against us in particular but as I am reading some reviews nobody has been treated like us. Really disappointing to see because we more than meet the criteria.

Poor experience - beware

If you choose Reeds Rains, and hand the keys over to them for their accompanied viewer, please check your property as soon as possible after any viewings. We ended up with a significant repair bill after a redundant disconnected shower was operated (Who knows why, but the accompanied viewer was there in charge of the property?) resulting in water leaking into the kitchen below and collapsing the ceiling, initial consultation with a caring branch manager escalated into a complaint which of course sided with the accompanied viewer, a very biased process. Very little empathy and absolutely zero goodwill. **Update, just read the reply from Reeds Rains probably ticking their caring box, as expected heard nothing from them. Empty promises!!!**

It was not easy buying and selling a house during the pandemic. We dealt with Donna, Alison, Rebecca and Joe, a great team led by Donna. Advice and guidance was direct and plain speaking, one of them always available at the end of the phone to calm anxious customers. The conveyancing process with all the various chain issues can be difficult to navigate, it was important for us that this stage of the process was handled well and we felt supported and kept up to date with developments. All in all we received excellent service during what can be a testing process.

They just rip you off

They just rip you off , a big no for tenants , they charge unnecessarily.15-may-2023: above review was given on 13th of april and after more than a month you are asking for more info on it ? the issue is already taken up by one of reed rains member, we had some conclusions, you must get that info from reeds rains and if you want me to remove this comment then i am not obliged to remove any comments, specially the ones with which i have bad experience.18-may-2023: poor quality of check in report and differences in check out report caused me to loose deposit, even your property manager didnt knew what was removed from the property as beds , mattress and sofas were removed from the property as those were extremely dirty, and those were removed after reeds rains consent, and your property manager was asking what happened to them. Luckily i had the emails as a proof otherwise you would have charged me for those as well. I really lose trust on reeds rains , unprofessional. A mistake

House bought, no key supplied, no tenant deposit transferred

I bought this house almost 2 month ago, they are still telling me stories about my front door keys. They started off by giving me an impression that they have the keys and tried to get me to agree to them sending the keys by regular mail, even though I offered to pay for recorded delivery. They said they couldn't do recorded delivery because they did not have loose change at the office. I then paid for a courier to pick up the key. When the courier turned up they said that they did not have the keys. They held onto my tenant's deposit and has not paid it to me nor the tenant. They said they sent an email to the tenant but the tenant says she has not received it.
