TrustpilotWhy do we still need Estate Agents in 2024?
Apparently this estate agent can only sell houses during THIER opening times. How ridiculous. All they need to do is contact the seller to ask if they are happy to undertake a viewing after work, around 5-6pm. If the seller is not happy with that, fine, I'll respect their wishes and find another property. My wife and I are registered with them and we've already viewed another property where the vendor showed us round. Don't the majority of people who want to buy a house work for a living? I thought estate agents had modernised their practices but Reeds Rains still seem stuck in the 80s.

TrustpilotWhen the going got tough, the manager went AWOL
This is in reference to the Rye Branch.All started well with my intended property purchase, but I was to learn I made a big mistake in using their recommended company of conveyancing solicitors.When the latter proved to be simply appalling, the branch manager decided to go AWOL. No attempt was made to retrieve the situation or to contact me.That was the end of the potential sale. So very disappointing.

Rude, degrading staff. Not helpful at all very judgmental and cocky. Would never ever like to sell my house or buy a house from them. Andrew was fabulous everyone else just total discussing rude behaviour, no empathy and just rude.

We used Reeds Rains selby north yorkshire to sell our bungalow , things were ok ( allthough we had to do all the chasing up on viewings and despite telling the manager not happy with the service or the lack of it nothing changed ) upto selling but once we had a buyer the manager lost all interest , no updates with how things were progressing and not even a thank you once they got paid quite a large sum of money . definitely will never use them again .

I cannot agree with your comments around lack of feedback for your viewings as we had multiple customers viewings on your property and I can see notes on every viewing where the staff were chasing and collecting and giving feedback to you. I also do not agree with your loss of interest comment either. I, personally, helped negotiate the offer, achieving £14,000 above the asking price as well as running through information, looking at floorplans and discussing the property you wished to purchase (not being sold via Reeds Rains). During the progression of your sale, I had numerous conversations with you, including when your buyers had lost their purchaser, and I understood from the buyers you had exchanged numbers. At the exchange and competition stage we would normally receive all keys and would thank you for being a customer however, with you having exchanged numbers, and agreeing with the buyers you would meet them to hand keys over directly, we were left out of this stage. So I will thank you for being a customer, I'm happy we helped you buy and sell and buy again, I hope you enjoy your new house and hopefully our paths cross again.Regards,Reeds Rains Selby

Absolute rubbish. I don’t recommend. I’m in the process of selling. It’s been a total frustration & I feel very badly let down by the staff at Reeds Reins Ossett. I have no idea what they are doing for their commission as it’s always me that’s chasing & trying to get things moving, I’m always getting the answer machine & I very rarely get calls back. It would be a very big review if I went into the nitty gritty of the problems due to their lack of effort. Communication is RUBBISH, the worst of any company I have ever dealt with. They didn’t keep on top of our first sale & we lost alot of time because of them. The second sale is on with & again they haven’t done anything. We’re 3 months into a sale that was supposed to take a month & it’s because they don’t chase things up or communicate with you. I complained by email to the manager laying out their negligence with the first sale. One of the members of staff agreed with my comments on the phone but the manager never responded. I rang twice for a response to my email…nothing. I’ve screenshot all the calls & you can see from my call log that they don’t get back to you. I emailed asking for a response to my complaint & it wasn’t barely a response just a couple of lines of nothing. I’m so so frustrated & fed up of doing all the leg work myself. Very disappointed. I was about to pull out of the sale & move somewhere else as I’d had enough & then they finally did something, however since then I’ve had nothing & yet again I’ve had to chase.

Advised terribly, advise was made for the benefit of Reeds Rains and not myself.Communication lacking.Pulled out at a cost to me.I can only tell you my experience and that is they don't care about the customer.The person advising me thought because i had to pay a fee to pull out, i would be reluctant to do it. There is no chance I would let them sell my house after all this. And on that, i have spoken to someone else who said they were trying to sell a house for nearly a year without success using Reed Rains, they went elsewhere and it sold after a week.You live and learn...

This was cumbersome and unnecessary made a very difficult process. I was a guarantor. Then I needed a reference from my employer. I have to submit taxes. Totally crazy. I have no idea how this people can even rent one house. If I wasn’t doing it for my loved one I would totally go somewhere else. They need to tone it down. Pure nonsense. Scary stuff

GoogleIf I could rate 0 stars I would... sending emails that took weeks to get a reply or no reply at all, fast to take money for properties but couldn't be any slower to deal with issues. Reported multiple issues multiple times including blocked pipework that flooded the property that took 3 months to get a reply on after visiting the branch! Would not recommend this company, made my living experience horrendous! I could sit here all day and post about the quite frankly useless lettings agents but I've got better things to do. As I can't respond to the previous, I'm shocked they have no record of me existing... 223 cheriton road, the flat that needed a new roof for about 3 years that leaked masses of water every time it rained and when it was fixed the works made a mess of my internal structure cracked most the walls and this was all just left for over a year until I had enough and moved out with it still looking the same. Water damage caused all the paint to come off the walls constantly covering my entire bedroom anytime i had the window open meaning I had to strip strip the lose bits off and cover it in lining paper just to stop my bedroom becoming a mess!

Absolutely furious with the lack of customer service. I was sold an auction property by Lisa Sharpe - told there was a tenant in there for the next year, and that rental would be taken care of. She lied, tenant was moving that week. I bought in June - still not completed due to buyers solicitor not sending accurate information and ignoring my solicitors emails

Criminal organisation. Also operate at "Your Move". As a landlord I received fraudulent invoices, months of failure to respond to calls and emails. They turns out they lost the keys and the tenancy agreement. End of contract 29th Sept. Still they haven't shared any paperwork and are still withholding funds in November. Lots of promises from David Tomlinson, not one fulfilled. Avoid.

As a first time buyer, to be told the wrong completion date from Zoe was annoying.The day before I phoned to say I doubt that’s happening as our solicitors haven’t said it will be.They still told us we will be moving in.This is because Reeds Rains Solicitors sent out the paperwork too soon to the sellers and dragged it out for 3 weeks sending us our paperwork that we needed.
