Hello, I've recently been given a notice of vacating my current location as my landlord sold his house. Within about a week I found a new house (house share) in Woodley. I arranged a viewing on the same day through Ben Cottrell from Romans, paid the holding deposit the next day and now moving in at the end of the month. I just wanted to thank Ben for his customer service and making this as stress free as possible. Although I still have to move so hope I haven't spoken to soon. Anyway, Romans is lucky to have Ben as part of their team.

I had an excellent experience renting my property from the initial viewing right through to moving in. Holly was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful at every stage, always keeping me informed and making everything as straightforward and stress-free as possible. Even after I had moved in, Holly continued to provide support and was quick to help with any questions I had. Great experience finding our first flat in Reading.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Roman's Tilehurst team who helped us find our first flat in the Reading after moving from New Zealand. Nathan was fantastic at helping us find our home showing us 3 different properties of interest and working closely with us on our tenancy approval. Mark and Lorraine were also excellent answering our tenancy questions and helping us navigate our tenancy application. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for your first flat in Reading.

Romans Estate Agents, Windsor are excellent in every way. they go that extra mile to be kind, helpful and considerate throughout the transaction of putting my house up for sale with them as sole agents. their marketing strategy is superb. Carl, the Sales Manager is a great guy and keeps in regular contact throughout along with his team also. Many viewings, much interest in the property and its location. Plus an added sector within the group is First For Auctions again with excellent staff, so, if you were worried about the market and selling through the normal way you can have the option of going to Auction. We bought our house with Romans in Fleet in July 2025, after almost two years of searching and working with several agencies in different areas. Once we decided to focus on Fleet, Romans truly stood out. Special thanks to Charlie and Matthew, who were outstanding throughout the process. Communication was fast and proactive, and their support during negotiations was excellent. Thanks to their efforts, we achieved a very good price reduction, which played a key role in making the purchase happen. They were also very helpful in arranging multiple viewings to suit our needs. The only area that could be improved is the move manager role. Unfortunately, this part of the process was more stressful than helpful. Communication around completion and moving day (keys, meeting point, and next steps) was unclear and came very late, which caused unnecessary confusion. At such a critical stage, clearer guidance and better coordination would make a big difference. That said, the Romans Fleet team stepped in to resolve the issues, and overall it was a genuinely positive experience. They helped facilitate the process for both buyer and seller, avoided unnecessary obstacles, and handled negotiations in a friendly, positive, and professional way. After some very poor experiences with other agencies in Fleet, I can confidently say that Romans Fleet is one of the best agencies in the area, and I would happily recommend them.

Matt, Simon and Catherine our move manager bent over backwards to help us with our move to Fleet. Matt was great on both of our viewings of the property, answering all our questions and giving us advice on the area. Then through what was a challenging few months to completion, we were really impressed with their consistent communication and support in chasing updates on both sides of the chain. They had clearly formed a positive relationship with our venders and helped to provide reassurance to them on our behalf for delays or issues, which we gratefully appreciated. Use someone else

Trying to enquire about rental properties via Romans is terrible. You come across one of their properties on Rightmove, ask if they accept pets and you will be bombarded. Missed calls, voicemails, emails adding your details to databases, thanking you for choosing Romans to help you find your next home, thanking you for applying for a new home with Romans. Its all very strange and in the end you'll still not get a response. Just rent a property with someone else who will actually just answer your questions. I have genuinely given up enquiring about properties listed by Romans now. Waste of time

Disrespectful and unhelpful staff

I enquired about a few properties for rent through Rightmove, and they were prompt at giving me a call. Unfortunately, I missed the initial phone call so I gave them a call back within 5 minutes. The first person I talked to was disrespectful and unwilling to help. The call quality sounded like I was on speaker (and I heard laughter in the background which coincided with my responses). A few mintues after the call ended, I decided to try again, hoping the first time was a misunderstanding, but I recived similar treatment again from another agent who took a mocking tone and then abruptly ended the call.

Visited the Roman staines branch 1st July 2026 around 1pm (please note: staff member at the till, South Asian, slim build) and was disappointed by the service. I asked her whether a trouser style from the website was in stock, showing her a photo. She didn't look at the photo, gave a quick "no," and when I asked where I might find it, she kept looking at her screen without engaging further. I had to suggest "online?" myself, to which she gave a vague "maybe" without making eye contact.

If I could leave 0 stars I would . The continous lies from this agency is appalling. They are money hungry and VERY unprofessional. Rude attitude from Zara continously from the start to the end of my tenancy . I couldn’t ever have a conversation over the phone or in person without her disgusting attitude. They’ll promise you a property and give it to someone else and when you check out they will take the stupidest photos of dust ,to ask you to pay MORE money as it’s not “clean enough”. Save yourself the hassle and don’t even bother with them .
