GoogleClaire at CHK Montfort Esher branch is the most professional, knowledgeable and helpful estate agent I've ever dealt with in my 20 years of property buying or renting. My mother recently sold her house in Claygate and wanted to rent in the area. We approached all the various estate agents in the general area, from Surbiton, Richmond, Kingston upon Thames and although all of them were full of smiles and promised the world, not a single one of them followed through. We received some general email circulations none of which contained the specifics we had outlined. However, when we contacted CHK Montfort Claire offered to meet us that very afternoon and gave us a tour of a marvelous property answering all questions and helping my mother with the process of getting together all the documentation and explaining everything in a simple way with great patience and care. Harry was also very helpful in getting details completed and giving us another detailed tour on inventory check in day. I recommend this team for anyone interested in properties in this area.

GoogleAndrina Craig at John D Woods was highly recommended to us by a friend who had worked with her in selling and purchasing a property. We have been extremely happy with the attention we received, from the initial visit to the time it took to close the deal. Andrina is not only charming, but also very experienced in her industry and was able to offer suggestions, guide us in what was expected of us as sellers, and all in a very calm and pleasant manner; Gavin, Andrina's colleague was also extremely helpful. There was always someone at their office to answer our queries if one of them was not there and they always seemed to know who we were. Everything went very smoothly. Plus we were working with them from overseas most of the time. We would not hesitate in highly recommending John D Wood in Esher.

She was warm and personable, in which I felt comfortable in being honest with her regarding my thoughts and questions. She assisted me with all queries from the very start, in which I had many as you’d expect from a first time buyer. Andrina had made my experience a highly pleasant one in which I felt reassured until the end. I honestly am so thankful that she was in charge of my property purchase. Now that it’s completed, I can be genuine with this review. Andrina was amazing. I don’t really know what else to say. GoogleAfter a sale that fell through CHK Mountfords were very quick and efficient to put the property onto the rental market, where they quickly found a number of potential short term tenants. Being the first time the property had been rented there were a number of actions to be carried out. CHK Mountfords guided us through these in a very competent and efficient manner ensuring the property was rented as quickly as possible. I was particularly impressed with the personal manner of the assistance and advice and that whoever I spoke to in the office they were aware of the current situation and could help. I rented this apartment for a two-month stay. It was a disappointment. Throughout the stay, there were consistent delays in resolving basic matters. Requests often went unanswered and required multiple follow-ups. You should be warned that there is construction in the building next door. The agency and landlord did not disclose this. Most concerningly, despite having departed the apartment months ago and received a report from them that everything was left in great condition, we have still not received the security deposit. It seems that their delays may not have just been bad service but rather bad faith.

I have been really pleased with the level of service and their communication has been superb, always someone on end of phone if any queries and endeavour to return promptly with answers. John D WOOD Battersea Park Road Disingenuous and incompetent. Having engaged JDW to sell a property in Battersea, they were full of promises and , quite frankly, untruths! The Property attracted a buyer quite quickly, and we were assured that the purchaser wanted to complete within a few weeks- 6 . We instructed Solicitors, and they started the work. After being repeatedly assured by JDW that the purchaser was very keen to get the sale completed, after a number of weeks I phoned my Solicitor to ask progress. A phone call was made to the Purchasers Solicitor by ours, and She was told that the fees for searches had not even been paid! No work hard been done. We cancelled the sale, and received a bill for over £2,000 to cover the work involved that we had asked to be undertaken. Lazy, incompetent, doesn't even come close to how we feel about JDW

I wish that I read the reviews prior to my dealings with this agent. I’ve been a landlord for decades, have mostly stayed with the same company for a very long period, any issues were always resolved promptly and I felt that my custom was important. Having engaged JWD for a very short time, I’m bitterly regretting my decision. Before tenants were found, I stipulated that the I’ve always directly seen to any issues arising from the tenants regarding the property, that I engage my own contractors. But lo and behold, JDW has taken a “FLOAT “ from the rent received. It’s not possible to contact the person responsible as they only have “SKELETON “ staff working!! Since my engagement with the agency, having spoken with a few people, it transpired that there are quite a few disgruntled people like me who find that the agency doesn’t provide an adequate service.
