So we only used Grigor and Young by chance of the recommendation of the mortgage broker who we’d never used before. We bought our first property and Grigor and Young (specifically Isla L) handled the entire transaction with absolute candour and precision. The vendors estate agents were more than a pain in the backside and Isla was sure to sweep them aside when they weren’t needed so I could focus on the important thing: actually moving. So thanks a bunch!

I can’t thank Katie enough for everything she did during my divorce. She was so friendly, polite and approachable. Very efficient. If she said she was going to do something she did it there and then, no messing around. She also helped me to secure legal aid which was hugely important to me during this process. She was very accommodating and understanding throughout. Can’t rate her highly enough. Thank you again and all the best with the rest of your training. Also should add that the other staff I dealt with at the firm were also great. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Katie or anyone else there again in the future.

Greg Robertson was not only professional but personable. At a difficult time for me he was helpful, friendly and non judgmental. He explained everything clearly without being patronising. Replies were prompt and everything was done in a time efficient manner. He was flexible with what worked for me and was always on hand if I had a question. I would not hesitate to use Gregor and young again. Highly recommended. I had conveyancing, separation agreement and general legal advice provided by Mr Robertson. I cannot praise Peter Brash and Grigor & Young team for their incredible support and services whilst navigating their way through a difficult and multi-national legal process for my Mum. Peter helped her make a claim on the estate of her deceased partner, who had died without making a Will. There was a time limit for claiming, foreign elements to the claim and it needed a Sheriff Court action - but it all worked out by agreement in the end and it meant my Mum got a share of her life partner’s estate where otherwise she would have received nothing. I think people don’t try to claim in these situations because it feels so incredibly complex and often, as was the case for my Mum, the emotions surrounding the unexpected passing of loved ones can make it feel impossible. I cannot praise Peter enough for the gentle and supportive way he helped Mum during this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble. He, and the team, are clearly passionate about their work and how they can help people in what can seem an insurmountable legal journey. What I would say is that I would highly recommend everyone makes a will and makes it clear what they want to happen in the event of their death. You will not regret working with these solicitors and I will remain in their debt. Thank you.
