I recently sold through Savills and they made what is a stressful time, a lot less so. Their knowledge, experience and professionalism shines through everything they do. Rather than sitting back and letting your property sell itself, they are very proactive at finding viewers and seeing the process through to conclusion. I had a few issues with my sale initially, nothing to do with Savills, however, this was resolved with speed and efficiency which ensured a successful transaction. Cameron, Tom and Izzy were all very approachable and I’m very grateful for their efforts. I’d recommend Savills to anyone!!

We’ve dealt with this estate agent a few times now to view different properties, and unfortunately, the experience has consistently been poor. The most disappointing agent we dealt with was Tiffany Rigg. On this occasion, we applied to view a property and then heard nothing back for about two weeks. Eventually, we had to phone the office ourselves, only to be told that viewings weren’t possible due to problems with the property. At no point was a group email sent out to update interested parties, which would have been a simple courtesy. When we did finally get to view the property, the communication continued to be lacking. We asked several questions and were told, “We’ll get back to you when we know the answer.” No one ever followed up with us. We were even advised we’d hear a decision within a few days, but again there was complete silence. We had to chase repeatedly, only to later discover on our own that the property had already been let. Unlike other estate agents we’ve dealt with recently in Edinburgh, no courtesy email was sent to say the property was no longer available. That lack of basic communication shows a disregard for applicants’ time and circumstances. This isn’t a one-off incident either. Each time we’ve tried to work with this agency, we’ve had the same issues: poor responses, broken promises to call back, and a general lack of communication. Because of this repeated pattern, we won’t be using this service again in the future.

Outraged at the fact I brought my boyfriend and parents to see a beautiful flat that was priced at £560K, was very keen on it and the moment we walked in the door for the viewing, it was the completely wrong flat! There was no hint or of any description that the pictures on the link I enquired about, were for a different flat. And that flat was 1.2 million. Even the guy on the phone didn’t even mention or confirmed that the pictures were for something else , and made us all go in there like numpties and get showed around by Laura who worked for Quartermile apartments who was lovely, but seriously the flat was NOT what I enquired on, complete miss advertisement. And complete waste of everyone’s time. To top it off, the gorgeous pictures of the flat was sold a YEAR ago. What a disappointment.

Waited a year and a half to move into a new property in Kinross and was lied to constantly by the developer. Move was cancelled last minute by developer in Nov and it wasn't until Jan this year we found out that developer had built our house without the required stages being signed off. House had to be picked apart by building control officer which took weeks. Savills claimed not have had any knowledge of what the developer had done and yet all communication with the developer went through them! We were legally able to rescind missives in Feb due to the lengthy delays. We lost our dream home and Savills just left us to deal with the developer who owed us our reservation fee and flooring that we had paid for and was partly installed in the house. Had to get a lawyer involved as despite developer saying in writing he would refund us he didn't. After 3 months of waiting for our money it was finally returned but we have basically paid in fees to our lawyer what we were owed so have come out with nothing. Wrote a complaint letter to the the Head of RDS team 2 months ago and they didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge it. Extremely disappointed with the whole process and stunned that Savills choose to work with dishonest developers. Won't ever consider using Savills Edinburgh to purchase a property again.

We sold our house with Cameron. He and the rest of the team really did provide a first class service. Cameron gave great advice on valuation and on whether we needed to decorate or change anything, and when it came to sell he sent through some excellent advice on how to present the house. Everyone in the team was very responsive and helpful with all our enquiries. The photos and video were brilliant and we had lots of viewers for the property. I’d definitely recommend Savills for selling a property in Edinburgh.

Arranged a viewing for a house as a prospective buyer, had to move around our schedules to view the place only to find out after knocking on the seller's door that the viewing has been cancelled and that Savill's forgot to inform me! Horrible experience, my commute time was over an hour. Saville sent reminder message on the day confirming the viewing as well as an email! None of them had the audacity to acknowledge or apologise what had happened. Really disappointed in the team. Not signing up with them for anything in the future.
