We instructed this firm for the sale and purchase of our home and it was, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating professional experiences we have ever had. Communication was consistently poor throughout. Emails went unanswered for days or weeks, urgent call-back requests were ignored, and we were repeatedly left chasing for even the most basic updates. There was a complete lack of urgency at key points in the transaction, which very nearly caused our chain to collapse. At no stage did we feel our matter was being handled proactively or competently. After completion, the situation deteriorated further. We were overcharged £480.20, something the firm acknowledged in writing and confirmed would be refunded in December. Three months later, we are still waiting. Repeated requests for repayment have been ignored. Even more concerning, after agreeing that we were owed money, the firm produced a bill dated 17th December which had never previously been issued to us, despite the fact we had already paid our final balance in full on 16th December. This invoice only appeared after we challenged the overpayment. The timing and circumstances of this “new” bill raise serious questions about transparency and billing practices. To compound matters, they also made an error on our Stamp Duty submission by misspelling a name. We were contacted two months after completion to urgently rectify their mistake, and we are still awaiting confirmation that this has been properly corrected. Buying and selling a property is one of the biggest financial transactions most people will ever undertake. We expected professionalism, accuracy and clear communication. Instead, we experienced delay, poor service, financial discrepancies and ongoing uncertainty. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this firm.

Slow, inefficient, incredibly hard to get in contact with. We were ignored for weeks and completely left in the dark despite many calls and emails; we couldn't be able to see the house a second time till the date of entry because we waited basically until the last couple of days to finally end the missives; for this reason we were forced to accept any inconvenience and problems with the property to avoid any risk of not getting the house and being homeless, for real. All of this caused expenses that we would have been able to avoid if only we had the time to organize everything, spending a lot more money than expected for a house that we love but was full of surprises. They deprived us of the joy in the process of buying our first home, making everything incredibly stressful and complicated.

Avoid. You will lose the house sale. 5 months wasted since August onboarding. With Trsvis Yeoman. And Alice Baker. Now just before completion and still not responding to last questions. Firm cancelled contract. Without clarifying enquiries response. MALICIOUS. Is not the word here to describe them. I will be taking them to small claims. As new conveyancing firm had to be allocated that will charge additional fees for urgency and last minute services . If they dont forwad FILES on timely manner to new conveyancer to complete sale and property buyer will be lost , will update this review. Each step had to be chased down with weeks on weeks of radio silent and delays. Onbaording took 5 weeks. TA6 and TA10 forms were sent since start of September. Resubmitted mid 10th october And sent off to buyer 2 months later 29 October ! Same for enquiries. Sent 2 weeks later.

I was referred to Mark Peggie at this firm by another solicitor who wasn't able to meet my needs. Mark dealt with transferring my interest in a flat I had shared with my partner who I was separating from and the purchase of my new flat. He provided an excellent service during what turned out to be a fairly protracted purchase. I was especially impressed with how frequently Mark kept me up to date with what was happening and how easy it was for me to get in touch with him. Mark came across as a genuinely lovely guy and he really made the process as easy as possible for me. I stumbled upon MHD Law by accident while trying to get a certified copy of my passport for a mortgage application. I have previously tried other venues as I was advised this can be done by a bank official, doctor, dentist or police officer among others. In practice this proved not to be so easily done and all the places I inquired about this told me they were unable to help me. Thankfully, MHD Law's offices were right next to the police station I was trying as my last resort for the day and they solved my problem on the spot. I would like to especially thank Mr. Raymond Fairgrieve who assisted me not only with certifying a copy of my passport, but also of my driving license in case I ever needed it. Not only did Mr. Fairgrieve take some time of his day to help me, but he also refused to charge me anything for this service. I am really impressed and thankful. It was a simple service indeed, but the human side of MHD Law and of Mr. Fairgrieve especially makes then stand out and I would not hesitate recommending them or using them again in the future.
