Mark and Rosie exceeded our expectations to achieve the sale we wanted in a tough market. We chose Ellisons because we had a sense, from meeting Mark and Rosie, that they were very engaged and committed to making a sale happen for us. We were correct in that decision. Mark went significantly beyond expectations with the buyers, including bringing in architects and contractors to discuss future works and planning to help the buyers get comfortable that the house could be what they want. Communication was clear and honest throughout the process. If we were to sell another property in Edinburgh, we would go with Ellison’s again.

We have been on both ends of a transaction involving Ellisons. They sold our house for us last year. I was very satisfied with the service they provided and they introduced a buyer from their contacts who paid us a very reasonable price. The Ellisons fee structure and their terms of business were entirely transparent and I was totally clear as to what I was paying for at every stage. A year later, we bought our new house. By coincidence, Mark was the seller's agent. Once again, the service was professional and he worked hard to make the deal work for both parties. I felt I was kept advised as we moved through the process to ultimately reach a conclusion which satisfied us and, presumably, his client.

We would highly recommend Ellisons to anyone wanting to secure that hard to find off market property, but also support selling your current property with zero fuss to close the loop Both Mark and Rosie swiftly sourced and secured an off market property for us which met our brief perfectly in the tricky area we wanted. They also took care of selling our house by taking care of all elements - Moving is painful but it doesn't need to be - They marketed the property perfectly, they screened viewers and then took care of all the viewing, Mark also built and landed a very complex chain to ensure everyone moved on the same day - kudos. I dont plan on moving again, but have the one number I would call if we did. Thank you Ellisons

Do NOT use this agent When we took the house off the market after it had been on with them a year reduced reluctantly dramatically . Which we would never have taken such a price they are trying to now extort £11,250 plus vat cancellation fees ! Incredibly unprofessional behavior. Despite our lawyers reminding them we have no contractual obligation. They are refusing to take the property off the market!!! Dreadful behavior !!!! Not what you expect from a supposedly high end agent !!!

Mark sold our house and also was the agent we used to buy our current house. We couldn’t recommend Ellisons highly enough as he was very attentive with a personal touch which resulted in us getting a lot more than we expected for ours. We were very happy with the service we received from Mark (Ellison’s) which made a typically stressful time seem less so. I want to warn others about my extremely disappointing experience with Ellisons Property in Edinburgh. They took thousands of pounds from me, promising a professional and proactive approach to marketing my property, including open house weekends and access to their so-called “black book” of buyers. However, none of these promises were fulfilled. They never arranged a single open house, and despite their claims of having a network of buyers, my property did not receive a single viewing in over a year. Instead of delivering results, they repeatedly asked for more money while providing zero tangible progress. Their lack of transparency, false promises, and complete failure to generate interest in my property have left me frustrated and out of pocket. If you are considering using Ellisons Property, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. There are far better and more trustworthy estate agents out there. Save yourself the stress, time, and financial loss, do not use this agency!

The owner, Mark, is known to be highly litigious and dishonest as both a buyer and seller. We didn’t know any of this until we signed with his firm to sell our house. I won’t go into too much detail here, but I recommend asking your solicitor and competitive estate agencies for their views. We will never buy a house listed by that firm.
