I’ve just moved to Eastbourne from Fleet in Hampshire and couldn’t be more happy with Oakfied and in particular Zoe Hodd. Dan from your Eastbourne branch, has been amazing in the support that he has shown my mother after the loss of my father, he came round and we had a chat, and then he said that if mum wanted to have a look at some properties to get an idea of the next venture in her life he would have a look. He came up with a couple of flats in sheltered accommodation that had been sold just so she could get an idea, and then he had a look at a cottage for her again to have an idea if different things she could do. He has been truly supportive and has gone above and beyond what I believe estate agents should. We agreed for him to put the house on the market and within 24 hours mum has r viewings, amazing. Sadly due to circumstances out of everyone's control, our sale wasn't completed, but the standard of service we received from Oakfield through the whole process was of a very high standard. Placed my property on the market with Oakfield for 12 weeks. After 10 weeks and no viewings, no contact from anyone at Oakfield whatsoever, I popped into the office to ask why I had not received a call, having had no viewings at all. Although there was an admission and apology for the lack of communication, there was no explanation given for it ?. 1 day before the end of the minimum term of the contract, I got a viewing! Although this amounted to nothing and the viewer was told by the agent that accompanied the viewing that we had found somewhere ourselves ?. This was not the case and I'm unsure why he would say that upon being asked by a viewer. Having brought and sold many times over the last 25 years, this was my worst experience ever with an estate agents. I did purchase the same property from them and they were outstanding on that occasion 5 years ago. I'm really unsure why I was let down by Oakfield, and all the good reviews make it even harder to understand, but I guess only they can answer this. I fully understand that you cannot force people to view a property and people will only view if they want too, but communication is the most important thing, as not knowing what's happening or what you could do to prove your chances of getting people through your door just leaves you in the dark and unsure weather you should be looking for the property you want or not etc etc....there are plenty of agents in Eastbourne to choose from, unfortunately this agent has fallen from a great height on this occasion.

I have nothing but praise for Oakfield, Eastbourne for both their Sales and their Lettings departments. Lauren has recently managed a sale for me and has been supportive and proactive throughout. She kept me informed at every stage and provided momentum when things were slowing down. Chloe too has been excellent, managing the previous tenancy of my property - She was always on hand to chase solicitors during the sale when Lauren wasn't in the office. Others include Rebecca and Evie - Whenever you phone or drop in to Oakfield they are always happy to listen and make things happen - They are consistently polite, helpful and you can always rely on them to get things done! Thanks to the whole team!
