Even a 1 * was 1* too much !!

Very unprofessional. ..Shoreham by sea Branch. .Selling due to a divorce, and I had to keep telling them I'd changed my name but I kept getting letters emails and phone calls calling me by old name (though I must add all letters emails or phone calls were very very few )...Because of divorce we both parties had to be kept in the loop at all times. Quite often my ex wasn't kept informed about viewings etc. ...We were on their books for six months and in that time had 4 viewings with one potential buyer coming back 3 times first offer over £50k below the asking price we both did receive a letter (my name wrong ).my letter stating offer and potential buyers name + my exs name he was apparently buying his own house with a complete stranger. .His letter was a completely different offer to what was offered with the correct names of potential buyers. .We let the office know and they didn't seem to care. .We obviously didn't accept offer. .Potential buyer came back a week later with an architect and put in an other offer still way to low, she came back a third time with a builder and again put in an offer under the asking price. .Fox and Sons didn't let us know about last two offers we had to phone them up for feed back. ..We had a couple of other viewings and again we had to phone them up to get feed back. ..At no time did they communicate with us unless we phoned them up or emailed them. .We decided to drop price but in the excess of ££££.on the recommendations of Fox and Son we never got one viewing. ..I personally went into the branch to speak to the manager Ross he said he was going to make it a main feature on Right move and in Branch windows this never happened at all. ..I let Ross the Branch Manager know when contract was up we were going else where he didn't seem overly bothered. ..Contract came to an end of July 27/07/18 so I phoned him up to say we were leaving, his last parting words to me and I quote "Well you should have taken the last offer "...I just said goodbye and put phone down. . I'm afraid I had to laugh at his manners or lack of them. .We are both utterly disgusted with the unprofessionalisam of the Branch ..From start to finish. ..We would not recommend this Branch. ..Shoreham Branch needs a massive shake up. ..But need to have same people there so they know who you are and they have some ideas what is going on with your property and not say. .."Oh that person has moved to another Branch can you give me some idea as I don't know anything about your property "....Have now gone with another well known Branch in Southwick. ....watch this space. . NB. ...Adrian Trojanowski independent mortgage advisor in their Branch does get a 5 **** he has been absolutely brilliant can't fault him at all polite helpful very professional I would highly recommend his sevices he is not connected to Fox and Sons. .. .NNB. ..I wish I had read reviews before dealing with this agent. ...

Helpful, friendly and responsive

Alex, Oskar and the rest of the team at the Eastbourne branch have been really helpful throughout the process myself and my partner have been through for renting a property, advertised through Fox&Sons. They have been really helpful with providing the information required to ensure things have been as smooth and straightforward as possible.

I would not recommend them as either a vendor or buyer.I will have to continue to negotiate with Fox and Sons Burgess Hill as a buyer as so many people have their properties on sale with them. I had a very poor experience of being pushed into a mortgage evaluation when we didn't need or request one. When it became clear that we would not be using their services to get a mortgage, it all went very quiet and we had to keep phoning them to enquire about our offer. I did remind them that the government is preparing legislation to stop estate agents providing financial services and selling properties. The Daily Telegraph had a good article on tricks of estate agents- I would advise anyone buying or selling to look at this article..

Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful…

Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful service, my tenancy ended in Feb 2015, heard nothing from them untill July 2016 when they took me to court for unpaid rent from Feb 2015 till December 2015 even though I wasn't living at the property. The case went to court early 2016 & it got dismissed as I proved I vacated the property. September 2016 they took me back to court for the same reasons & once again the case got dismissed,I've been chasing them for a copy of my file that they have during my tenancy since July 2016 & still nothing from them, they don't even bother to call or email me back & they just palm me off with excuses everytime I go into the branch. Once again I received a email from my solicitor stating they are taking me back to court next month for the same reasons as the last 2 times! I have proved twice now that I left the property & this is seriously beyond a joke!

Very disappointed in service!

Very bad experience trying to sell our flat.Inexperienced young agents with little knowledge of the property holding viewings. Not turning up on occasions. Bad liason with potential buyer, took more than 6 months only for buyer to pull out! Not promoting the property, said they had London investors, so had wider coverage than local agents, another failure. Will not use them again!

I have just recently sold my first home with Fox & Sons in Burgess Hill and was very pleased with their service. We had them and another agent out to start with to compare and really liked the strategy James(the manager) offered. It worked really well and we sold with in 4 weeks with constant communication with us through every step of the way. The whole team were very helpful and polite making the process stress free and even fun! Would and have recommended when selling and buying to anyone.

Always in touch and persistent

Always in touch and persistentI didn't end up buying with Fox & Sons but they were one of the only agencies out of the several I was in touch who constantly followed up and kept trying, even when I kept saying no to places I visited. Sometimes the properties they suggested really did not match my criteria, but this was better than other agencies who would show you one property then disappear if you didn't like it.

I would recommend that you avoid:

I would recommend that you avoid:Brighton Office valued my property far higher than any other agent. When challenged, they said they could find a buyer and give them a chance, just for 1 month. We verbally agreed that at the end of the month there would be no notice period. They now threaten me with their 'small print' and demand a notice period. Pretty stupid really, as there is no way I would accept any offer made through them even if I agreed to the false notice period. Maybe I should just let them waste their time. Let's assume this to be their flawed memory rather than flawed honesty.

Completely incompetent from start to…

Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agent’s responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were ‘imminent’. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost £1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

Fox & Sons Crawley - Horrendous

What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at £10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.

I wish I Had seen the reviews before I went with Fox & Son. yes they sold our house but for the money they’re charging they put in very little effort. there has been no communication and they never call when they say they will, quite frankly I feel they are just all about the money there is no customer service. I would not recommend Fox & Son‘s Portsmouth office. Very disappointed 😔

Estate agents living up to there bad name

Crawley branch, , We went on the market with them , they never showed up to viewings , our viewings also never showed up and although they found a buyer we did all the work/viewings and they never chased or called or in fact communicated with anyone - when I complained they said I quote - our fee is not for good service it’s for finding a buyer only

The worst Agency I have tried…

The worst Agency I have tried throughout my three-year stay in Brighton! They advertised a property, handled the viewing and handled most of the paperwork but when the landlord blocked me to avoid returning the deposit they said that they don't manage the property and that they only advertise it!They never told me about the matter and I am left without my deposit with them stating that they can't help in any way!
