If I could this review a zero stars, i would.
Shocking and Misleading Service. I was repeatedly pressured by a representative called Carly to place a bid on a property, receiving around 18 calls insisting that the seller would accept almost any offer. I placed two reasonable bids within my budget, but was continually told that the seller was expecting more and that if I did not bid again the property would be removed from auction indefinitely.
The auction was originally due to end at 12:00, but it was extended by three hours specifically so I could place another bid. During this time I was repeatedly told that this would be the final opportunity and that the seller was waiting for my offer. Based on these assurances I placed another bid and ended up winning the auction, although I felt heavily pressured and misled throughout the process.
Before making any payment I made it clear that obtaining the remaining funds within such a short timeframe would be difficult. I was reassured that there would be flexibility and time to complete the payment. However, after they took £5,000 from me, the property was placed back into auction just two days later without proper explanation.
At no point before paying was I told that this would happen or given any realistic opportunity to resolve the situation. They are now refusing to refund the money.
I believe I was misled and pressured into bidding under false information, and I am now seeking legal advice and preparing to take legal action against Pattinsons. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company.

We would like to clarify that every time a bid is placed during one of our auctions, the bidder is required to accept the auction Terms and Conditions. Once the auction ends successfully and contracts are exchanged, a legally binding contract is formed between the buyer and the seller. Pattinson acts as the auctioneer and is not a party to that contract. Where the contractual terms are not fulfilled following exchange, any decision regarding the contract is ultimately a matter for the seller, in accordance with the agreed auction terms.

GooglePattinson is the best agency of all in the area. Our situation was not easy as we wanted to buy a house 300 miles away from where we live. Many other agencies ignored us or were downright rude, but Stephen Wilson was very committed and we felt he wanted to help us. Because of his involvement, we decided to ignore the houses put up by other agencies and only work with the Pattinson agency. And it was a very good decision. Stephen arranged for us to view the houses at times that were convenient for us, so that we could view as many as possible at one time. I had never met such a committed agent until I met Kathryn Greensmith, who later became involved in the house-buying process. She was also very helpful, like Stephen. When our solicitors didn't give us enough answers she was always available, answered all our questions, I felt I could count on her, she put me at ease many times. I have never met such wonderful and committed people in any agency. I know I will always work with them again if I ever want to sell or buy a house. I recommend Pattinson Agency wholeheartedly because they are not only agents who do their job, they are also understanding and empathetic people. Thanks to them the impossible became possible for us. I have had a very positive experience with Pattinsons. I rang on a Saturday morning for an appointment and Daniel arrived on Monday at 1pm. By Tuesday my house was marketed with excellent photographs and a steady stream of viewings. Within little more than a week it had been sold. I found Daniel and the staff professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I also found Lucy Briscoe at Core Legal very efficient. I’ve had a positive outcome as my house has completed within 8 weeks. Contact was great at the start but that's all I can say. Incredibly poor communication between their own staff and the people who have been in touch have essentially ghosted me, they're not interested because I'm not selling soon despite being told someone would call me back/send the free valuation I requested. When chased, I got an incredibly short message from a Miss Pattinson (I really hope not related to owners) to say she was out of office, essentially not wanting anything to do with it. Outstanding service and experience with another competitor though.
