I do not care for estate agents as in general I find them quite untrustworthy and was truly surprised to come across a rare breed like James who has maintained his humanity through it all. I used Thorntons to buy a house and could not have had a better experience. From the beginning, they were very upfront about their fees and pricing, which I really appreciated - I didn't feel like I was being 'sold' anything and knew from the get-go what to expect. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Daisy Johnston as my conveyancing solicitor. Daisy was highly communicative throughout the process, keeping me updated at every turn, which helped immensely. She gave really great advice when we were starting to make offers, with good market insights and knowledge. She was also always just a phone call away if I needed help understanding some difficult legal terms/concepts. Buying a house (especially in Scotland) can be quite a daunting process, but Daisy made it as seamless as she possibly could, reassuring me throughout (I'm one of those clients who needs a bit of hand-holding!). We're now just moved into our dream home, and I couldn't be happier. I would 100% use Thorntons again, and will be doing so for selling our old property.

I am still in disbelief. Planning on returning to Dundee after a long time working in London. I was offered the earliest viewing date to see a house which had just come on the market. I immediately paid for flights, hotel etc travelled up to Dundee on the day of viewing, them within two hours before my scheduled viewing time was told the property had gone under offer. Agree the seller can accept an offer at any time but two hours before they see a cash buyer is a bit odd. Complete waste of time and money. I won't be dealing with them again.

As a new tenant I moved onto a property with a toilet that didn’t flush, a moldy washing machine, a back door that didn’t lock and a leaking roof. Would not recommend as a landlord or a tenant.

This property Company occupys a big office building space in the heart of tje town. Working with Dundee City Council & Solicitors this business has donated money to V &A in Dundee. I had no dealings but occupying a big office building and waste of business rates somehow I got an inclination that for a town with 150000 people the property made of concrete seemed larger than life in a area where the people are kind.

Thornton's have looked after my property for more than 3 years and I have very few complaints. The staff respond quickly and work with me to find the best solutions to any problems. When purchasing a flat, Thornton's were the selling agent. They advertised the property with two parking spaces, it in fact only has one. When questioned about it they told us to park in the bin store (which are currently used for bins). Second bad experience with Thornton's.
