I wanted to put in writing how grateful we are to Linda Christopher at the Gorey branch of Sherry Fitzgerald. When we set out on our home buying journey I was poorly prepared for what a difficult and stressful thing to do it can be. The one person that has stood out throughout the whole process is Linda. Her kindness, patience and most of all her willingness to offer her expertise to all aspects of the home buying process has been invaluable, and without her I would have almost given up! I’ve lost count of the number of times she has given clarity to what would have otherwise been an issue I had no understanding of. And that goes far beyond her role as an auctioneer. SF is managing our apartment. Absolutely terrible service. I was aware of only half of it and found out the other half after speaking to our tenants. 1. Our tenants were signed up to a 2nd utilities provider 3 months after moving in by Transfer Gecko. Since they already had an open account under one of the tenants' names, they used the wife's name (without her knowledge). Consequently, they have been receiving two bills for the same utilities. The tenants have exchanged 65 emails with SF since November 2025 and it is still not resolved. I emailed them last week when I found out and have yet to receive a reply. What makes me really upset is that SF told our tenants that WE were the ones that had requested the change in provider in between tenancies to Boird Gais (this doesn't explain why this happened 3 months after they moved in). We never said any such thing. So they are lying to the tenants and lying to us. 1.B SF uses Transfer Gecko and this is not the first time we have had issues with it. Our first tenant also had a long and painful process with the switch. We both (the tenant and us) had to get involved and write to the company to resolve it. There are obvious issues with this service provider and SF knows about it and yet they keep using it. 2. The boiler in the apartment stopped working last week so there was no heating or hot water. The boiler service company had warned SF in October (it is January) that the electrodes were worn out but nothing was done about it at the time. Our tenants were without heating or water for 10 days due to this negligence. 3. Back in November, SF forgot to add an evacuation plan and a boiler certificate for the rental, so when the DLR county officer came to check, we didn't pass the inspection. This, in itself, wasn't a huge problem and was resolved fairly fast. The fact that our apartment requires minimal management and even this wasn't taken care of is what I have a problem with. The biggest issue is there is no one person in charge of our property, therefore no one is responsible, no one knows exactly what is going on and no one can be held accountable. When the boiler broke they suggested a gym voucher for showers. Well, if one person was in charge, they would have known that there is a 1 year old baby in the apartment and a gym isn't an option. The SF machine has gone out of control. They might have been a good agent once, but that is not the case any longer from our experience. We would absolutely not recommend their property management services.

Horrible experience renting with them

Horrible experience renting with them. I visited the apartment that had faulty balcony door, which they said would be fixed before I move in. It was not fixed, the house was extremely dirty with food residue in the fridge, many light bulbs not working (they fixed it after a week). Right now, more than 2 weeks after moving in, the balcony door is still not fixed. I’ll never rent with them again.

This company is amazing especially Mark Lawlor. They sold my house quickly and efficiently. It was really easy to catch Mark on the phone for any queries. He did a great job in getting the best price for my house whilst having great integrity by giving transparent information both to me and to the buyers. He guided me and provided excellent advice from start to finish. I give Sherry Fitzgerald 5 stars and will definitely use them in the future. They are a little dearer than other companies but it's worth it for a seamless service. I got a valuation from another company for the same house and they valued it €105k lower than what Sherry Fitzgerald valued it at and obtained so Sherry Fitzgeralds valuations are more accurate.

I rented a house with my ex girlfriend, unfortunately we broke up. She contacted the real estate because I was leaving the house to include another person in the contract, they made an agreement with my ex to pay only her part because they will sell the house in 2 months. After this they decided to try to find some excuse for don't pay back complaining about the mattresses, luckily we had pictures to prove was so bad. Later on was excuses about don't have acess to his father account because he passed way. An huge company should not support this kind of things.
