Myself and my partner are currently in the process of searching for our first home and we have had a fantastic experience working with Eve and couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent. Eve is super friendly, easy to talk to and always quick to respond to any questions I had. I would highly recommend speaking to Eve for anyone looking for an estate agent.
Thanks again for everything!

TrustpilotDisappointment!
The property we purchased was advertised as being sold by a relative (in fact brother) of someone at Woolley and Parks The said ----(Someone has raised an objection to me naming the local tradesman who sold me the property, so l shall now refer to him as 'The coward' to keep this review from being removed) and his business partner bought the property 12 months ago, with the sole purpose of renovating it to sell. The property was advertised as being renovated by previous owners to high standards, with no expense spared. The truth is that the work carried out used good middle range quality fixtures and fittings. What let it down was the lack of attention to important detail, where they felt it would not be noticed immediately. For example, brand new doors too large to fit doorframes. There were a number of other significant issues. Another example being, the back door which runs off the conservatory was locked and appeared to have the wrong key. We therefore had no safe exit from the rear of the property in the event of fire. What goes way beyond this is the horror story of what was to follow within 24 hours of moving in on the 12th January 2023! There are four adults in our family. The most vulnerable person (who Woolley and Parks have been fully aware of, throughout every step of the purchase) is my elderly sister, who I care for. She suffers from severe osteoporosis, is house bound, and is extremely frail and fragile. On the 14th January we discovered that the gas had run out, and we were going to have to face three weeks ahead of us living in the bitter cold of January, without hot water and central heating. What the coward had failed to tell us was that the gas supply was on a pre-payment meter and held a debt of the previous owner, which was being deducted from every top up we made! We could not afford to keep my sister warm as the cost on the meter would have been over £850 per month. It was a simple matter to have the meter replaced by the supplier could easily have rectified in the year he owned the property. For the fittest and healthiest of us in the family, we have had to wear hats coats and scarves in the property for three weeks, but for my sister it has been a matter of life and death! For three weeks my sister has had the physical and mental torture of being isolated in one room with only an electric bar heater and not so much as a TV, because the aerial sockets had been plastered over, as had the BT socket during renovation. The rest of our home has been icy!In trying to follow this up with Woolley and Parks, Natalie Parks told us that our solicitors would be better placed to help, she commented that “they make more money from this sort of transaction than we do”. I know that some of these issues are not necessarily the responsibility of an estate agent, but any caring business would let common sense and decency prevail. As for the coward, he told us we should have done our due diligence and not to bother him anymore.I reported all of these issues to Woolley and Parkes several times and escalated it to one of the owners Natalie Parks who initially seemed concerned. However, she rarely returned my calls until I had called their office in Beverley several times. My emails were met with stony silence. We tried to go through our solicitors, but to take matters further they told us it would cost a minimum fee of £4,500. Both Woolley and Parks and the coward are fully aware of this and I feel that they are washing their hands of us because the sale is complete. My expectation, is that since he renovated the property, the coward should have been willing to put right the mistakes, such as the doors, which would have been straight forward for him, but difficult for me, as I am not a carpenter.I am deeply disappointed in Woolley and Parks attitude as they know very well what we have been through. We would have been delighted with a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers for my sister, though I believe we deserve much more. They couldn’t even do that. Surely this is not the kind of publicity a reputable firm desires, considering the purchase is through one of their brothers.I have delayed writing a review of this firm to give them chance to address the issues but they have done nothing. My advice would be to sell your house with another firm and be extremely careful if you buy through them. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with any estate agent in over forty years.

GoogleAbsolutely fantastic to deal with as a first time buyer. So friendly and reassuring everytime we spoke. I mostly dealt with Molly who was extremely helpful and able to answer all my many questions. On receiving my keys, I was also given a 'new home' gift box, which I thought was a lovely touch. Highly reommended.

GoogleI rang to arrange a viewing , to be advised the first available date was 5 days later. The cottage had only been on the market for 2 days. The day before we were due to view have looked at the property to see it was sstc. Very disappointed in the lack of any service by this estate agent. Not even a courtesy call to let us know.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Dear Mrs Headlong. In response to your review, we would just like to offer our deepest apologies. Unfortunately, due to us being so busy right now, availability can sometimes be a little difficult and on occasion, such in scenarios like this, people may lose out when an acceptable offer comes in earlier. We do our utmost to achieve the best possible results for our clients and prospective buyers and in the current market, people can sometimes lose out. However, we very much do apologise again for not managing to make contact with yourselves prior. We wish you all the best in your house hunt and would be happy to assist for any future viewings you require.

FacebookRecently sold my home through this agent but certainly wouldn’t use them again. Be very care who is supervising the viewings and who is allowed in your home. I came home after one viewing to find furniture moved about, doors and cupboards left open and a pair of steps left in my kitchen. When I contacted the agent they came back and said that the property was not been checked by their representative when leaving the property, who was supposed to supervise the visit, and that I should have been informed that more than the one person I’d been told about would be entering my home. They literally had two visits to supervise at my house and anybody could have been in and out of my house and I wouldn’t have know about it. Very poor service.

FacebookI bought my house from Woolley and Parks nearly 3 years ago and found them very polite and very professional. I have now decided to sell my house, so I asked Woolley and Parks and another Estate agent to value my property for my own comparison. I decided to go with another Estate agent due to their rates being lower. When Woolley and Parks rang me to follow on from the valuation I politely explained and thanked them for doing the valuation. Well I have never been spoken to so rudely! Hannah, I'm not sure if she's based in Driffield or Beverley but her attitude towards me really put me off wanting to recommend Woolley and Parks. I originally felt guilty about not choosing Woolley and Parks, but I can honestly say if Hannah would have been selling my house I don't feel guilty as I found her very rude, the way I was spoken to infuriated me. I didn't deserve the attitude for making a decision that was best for me. I found her very unprofessional telling me the other estate agent only valued my property at that price because she did first, which isn't true as the other estate agent valued my property before she did. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I recommend Woolley and Parks but not Hannah.
