Thomas wouldn’t call me back despite repeated attempts to reach him? I feel strongly that I have been stitched up with a tenant that they found. There are four reasons for this. 1/ I asked specifically if the tenant presented well. Thomas told me that she presented very well and that he would be happy to have her as a tenant in one of his own properties. Within five seconds of my first video call with the tenant I realised that I was going to have a problem. In no way did she present well. She quickly presented numerous problems to me to sort out, all of which are of her own making. 2/ Thomas was very convincing that there would be no problem with the rent. He told me it would be sent direct from the council and would not go through the tenant. The reality is that the rent money went straight to the tenant and was spent it before it got to me. She now wishes to pay me £100 over the next 10 months. This clearly is unacceptable. Now I’m in danger for the same thing happening for the February payment. I’m having to spend hours on the phone to universal credit, and Dover district council so far with very little success. This is still not resolved. Thomas will not offer any help to sort out this problem that they have caused. 3/ Thomas overcharged me. Initially by £235 and now still by £25. 4/ Thomas signed the tenancy agreement on my behalf without me even having the chance to read it first. Had I have seen that the tenant, on Universal credit, was responsible for paying the rent, I would not have gone ahead. How can I pursue someone through the courts who can’t even afford their own rent. I believe Thomas and Partners worked solely in their own interests and not that of their client. I also think that they knew full well the problems that this tenant would cause me if she moved in because it didn’t take me long to work that out.

I recently sold a house with Thomas & Partner Dover office. All the staff were friendly and helpful, Vicky provided me with valuable information and advice prior to the sale of the property. The commision charged was reasonale and I believe much lower than most other estate agents. I would recommend this company.

UPDATE 2.0 refusing to text back, refusing to answer the phone. Is ignoring me completely, ran off with thousands and refusing to return even a text. Feel scammed! UPDATE : still no refund and been ghosted. STILL NO REFUND went to buy a house but pulled out a week later due to its condition was worse than we thought, now they wont reply in regards of getting my deposit back. very disappointed.

Very disappointing experience. After I moved out, the agency made false and exaggerated damage claims, including issues like black mould that I had reported earlier and the landlord refused to fix. Despite multiple reminders, they have still not provided the final inspection report, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. I have full proof of all conversations and the property’s condition. Their handling of the deposit and communication has been extremely poor. I do not recommend this agency.

Unprofessional and dishonest. Our experience with this agent was absolutely horrible and disappointing. We got a viewing with them in Dover - it was very brief and not very informative to be honest - and on that day they said the flat is ours if we want it and it's available to move into as soon as we provide our references. And we did just that - I had some trouble providing mine but Let Alliance helped me sort it quickly. After that, we called the agency multiple times - they never called us, it was always us trying to get in touch. They kept leading us on - saying the references weren't right (while the Let Alliance confirmed they're ok), then saying they're just waiting for the landlady to provide some documents (bear in mind that at the viewing they said it's ready to move into...), and then saying the references are wrong again... Different people saying different things (we could never spoke to only one person who knew our case). Then they said everything is ok but they're waiting for the main boss' signature who is currently on holiday... They said when he'll be back but then never called us - we called them again after a couple of days. And then finally at one point when we called them once again they said yes it's ready to move in!!! No one thought to call us and let us now... Then they said it's basically ready to move in they're just waiting for some final checks (electricity etc which is fine and understandable) - they said we could move in either Thursday or Friday. 5 minutes later they called and said actually let's make it Monday or Tuesday next week. We were happy that it was finally ours so we said yes - at that point our time at the temporary accomodation has run out so we decided to live in a hotel for the next couple of days until Monday or Tuesday. We called them on Saturday trying to make an appointment with them - there was a different lady who said they should have never given us a date and they're still waiting for some documents. At that point we were literally homeless and absolutely hopeless. We decided to look for a different place while still giving them a chance to call us. Now, two weeks later, we're finally in our new place, AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T CALLED US. Imagine that we'd still be waiting for their sign... It's absolutely outrageous. Would never recommend this agency to anyone. It cost us so much stress. If there was something wrong with our application, they should have just said and we'd be happy to find something else straight away instead of being led on for nearly 4 weeks.

The service received from Thomas and Partners has been excellent, they acted at all times with the best interests of the people involved at heart and at no point did I feel like they were pushing me in a direction I didn't feel comfortable with. I can't express how great it felt to have Thomas recognise me every time I came into the branch and rang the branch immediately, his level of service has been fantastic. I highly recommend Thomas and Partners and think they deserve much praise for completely bucking the typical estate agent image/trend.

Shambolic Company. “An ex car salesman, who employs children, who play at being adults and are absolutely clueless”. Today (Sunday) I spent 2 hrs with my buyers, doing the job that this company should have done and trying to rectify their errors - The ex car salesman kindly gave out my private number to my buyers. Clearly he has no understanding of the new ‘Data Protection Legislation’ that’s in place! No ID has ever been taken from my buyers, nor proof of their mortgage offer - The ex car salesman clearly has no understanding of the ‘Anti Money Laundering Legislation’ either, despite my constant requests to get this information. Thinking about it, they’ve never taken my ID, so I could be anyone really. The errors that have taken place since October are endless... The best one to date is, for personal reasons, I had to pull out of the sale. Two months later I got a call from the ex car salesman saying my buyers are ready to exchange. Exchange? I’d pulled out and didn’t even have a Solicitor acting for me. Thomas & Partners hadn’t told my buyers anything and the poor people thought everything was ok, albeit wondering why it was taking so long to exchange contracts. Like the heading says, shambolic!
