Woodingdean sale

We sold our house in Woodingdean in December '23 and Steve Clamp and Sarah Haskell and team were very helpful. Things slowed down a little bit once it moved to the Sales progressor but we got there and the buyers were able to move in by Christmas so we kept to our timeline. We felt that we were given good advice throughout and dealing with Cubitt & West was easy and pleasant, so much so that we have already recommended them to neighbours.

READ FIRST

This is solely based on Steve (not the new manager) and Sarah who have been awesome from start to finish. I had a tricky sale which went on for months and it nearly all fell though. Everything went ahead but the new manager who I’ve never met who took over from the original Steve turned up to my house while I’m moving out and had the audacity to tell me I’m breaching the contract and needed to be out the property in 5 mins! I was taken aback by how rude he was so based on this I’ll give Sarah and the original Steve who has now left the 5*. Rating but after meeting the new manager I can only say good luck to the people who have to work with him because Hes not a nice person and unfortunately I will not be using cubbit and west for my next sale due to this new manager he shown his true colours AVIOD!

What a great service!

After buying our flat, the letting team at Cubitt & West (especially Ciaran Street), went out of their way to help us get everything ready and then find the right tenants for us quickly and with no fuss. They were more than happy to answer all our questions (and there were many) and worked with us to make the whole experience so much easier, especially as we are not in the country. Amazing service

Amazing service, they dealt with the sale of my main property which achieved well over the asking price. They also dealt with some hiccups at the first buyers end and simply replaced with a new buyer at the same sale price. They are currently dealing with the sale of my rental flat in a difficult market and continuing to bring viewers in at a tricky time of year. If that wasn’t enough they also managed to find me a new home in the road I wanted to be in and the condition I was seeking. Suffice to say I am super impressed with the efficiency, tenacity and ease of service from Eloise, Alice, Jess and the team and I would not hesitate to recommend them for your sale or purchase. Communication is key! others could learn a few things from Mark :)

Not a great start, Cubitt and West the initial agent did not communicate very well, or return our calls. However what a turnaround 5star Excellent service from Mark Pelley. Great letting agent ! (Daniel)

From the very beginning of meeting our agent Daniel, we received a very warm welcome. He was very kind to us during the house viewing, we felt very comfortable in asking him any questions that we had. He also gave us our own time to view the house which I thought was really nice as it allowed us to take in the moment with our “future home”. Daniel was also very responsive with any form of contact whether this was a telephone call or an email. This was very helpful for us during the whole process as we knew he was an email away. He also made sure to keep updating us with the process from the landlord to the referencing company. This was very good experience for us!

Disappointed with this estate agent.

Disappointed with this estate agent.Usually takes 12 to 15 calls to get through to the office dealing. They have a central sales team, but all they do is try to get someone at the branch you tried to contact, to call you back.Cannot recommend Cubitt and West, unfortunately and suggest you go to another large agent like King and Chasemore (I've used this firm before and they're in a different league).
