GoogleLeft holding deposit with this company after deciding not to proceed they kept the £325 stating they had started the process and saying I signed the paperwork WHICH YOU HAVE TO SIGN or you cannot rent a property do not whatever you do give them any money as the contract basically says they can rob your holding deposit for just about any reason and the managers think they are above any common decency when they do never going through them again they are just preying on ordinary people and robbing us blind

GoogleI have lived in rented accommodation through Mayfair for 18 months now. They've been quite helpful up until now however I just rang to report a gas safety problem and the employee on the other end of the line was condensending, rude, and very unprofessional. I am a young professional living alone and wanted to let them know to reduce gas safety risk in their other flats. Mayfair straight away assumed that there were not any issues as their gas engineers have to be government approved, before even listening to the list of problems that the current gas safety engineer found today. They then said they'd check with the engineering company and get back to me without even asking me address or contact details (maybe just to get me off the phone). If this is how they treat their tenants in regards to safety then I'd avoid like the plague. Being spoken to like that has made me angry and upset as all I wanted to do was report it to reduce risk to other tenants. Be wary.
If I were in the estate agents shoes, no question about it if this was brought to my attention I would want to reassure my resident that, if this has happened, then it is isolated and not tolerated and thanks for bringing it to their attention. Unfortunately I got no such reception when I called

GoogleI rarely bother to review anything but I feel it important in a world of choice for agents in Dorchester that you are aware that if you are looking to let your property, you're likely to be waiting a while. This agent is not only laxidasical and dismissive in contact, they could do with some basic principles in dealing with customers. Find an agent that values customers and you'll let your house sooner.
