Hi I am really annoyed how have been treated as a customer in the process of buying a property from Kirkham. I gave a higher price from what the asking price was and also said if you get a higher price from what I have given will increase my offer. On repeatedly ringing the sales person was told that they haven't been able to get in touch with the seller and once they have will let me know. So waited for a few days and rang them again on which was told that the property has been sold at a higher price and when asked that why didn't anyone let me know they had no explanation. I believe they just didn't want to sell me the property and have done a under table deal with another seller.

I called the Kirkham office in Chadderton on 26th September 2024 to enquire about a commercial unit they had listed for rent. I was told my details would be passed on to the landlady, Victoria, and that I’d receive a callback. After not hearing anything, I followed up the next morning (27th September) and spoke to an agent. He informed me that he thinks all the units are gone and hadn’t received any updates for months. This raised an immediate question, why are you still marketing these units as available if they’re not? His response was vague: “I’m not too sure, but I think the units are gone.” The uncertainty and lack of knowledge were frustrating. As an estate agent, it’s your responsibility to be fully informed about your listings, yet there seemed to be a lot of guesswork involved. This has been a poor experience, and I won’t be using their services again for any future business.

Sold our house with Kirkhams just over 2 years ago. Terrible from start to finish. Disorganised, dishonest and terrible communication I wouldn't recommend going anywhere near them. Moving house is stressful enough without having to put up with the extra stress of doing their job for them.
