We had used Whitehouse Residential the entire time we rented out our flat, for around 15 years until we recently decided to sell. From vetting and finding us a fantastic tenant (who stayed the entire time) to helping ensure our rent was always paid on time, Sue, Gary, Claire and the team were always friendly, professional and helpful and always there to help resolve any problems. With good reason I wholeheartedly recommend Whitehouse Residential as your next Letting Agent and/or Estate Agent. I have my wife to thank for introducing me to Gary and Sue in 2019. It was a time when I’d had a horrific (and expensive) experience with a previous Enfield-based Letting agent. I was seriously considering packing it in as a Landlord. I had little-to-no trust to offer Letting Agents! By showing empathy and respect for my predicament Gary and Sue built trust and credibility quickly through their actions and behaviours. Highly professional, straightforward, knowledgeable and responsive throughout the last 3 years, which included keeping me abreast of legislative changes ahead of time. These traits were reflected in the prospective tenants they were able to source. Landlords/Sellers, you can save yourself a heap of stress by going with Whitehouse Residential :).

At first service was ok, when it was time to move from the property they rented me it was a whole different story. The property they initially rented me was basically falling apart and needed severe updating. The kitchen was a mess not to mention the bathroom, everything in the property needs updating to a better quality. Poor ventilation in the kitchen, having water coming from the ceiling unto my food etc. when I mentioned this to Sue during the inspections, she herself said how the property was smelling damp but yet did not encouraged or mentioned this to the landlord. The carpets DIRTY with stains! Then they tried to cheat me over £700 from my deposit for updating and redecorating the property even though on their inventory list confirmed that there were already dirty marks and stains on the walls and carpets before I moved in. These people were having a laugh, under no circumstance would I let them have such money from my deposit, luckily I had taken my own pictures before moving my stuff in the property because I was ready to take these people to court for my money. Landlord has no intention of updating the property, before I moved, I got to understand this was the reason the previous tenant left. Nothing but a big CHEAT and LIE! Would never rent from them again but if you do, take pictures of the state of the property before moving in as evidence.

Very bad tenancy experience, they take your deposit and never return it back. They are kind at the beginning and good with you as long as you are their tenant but extremely bad service when you are leaving them. I loved living in the property we rented from Whitehouse but unfortunately had to move out as it was too far, for me the biggest disappointment was to feel let down by them as they seemed such a nice agency at the beginning..

We've rented out properties with Whitehouse for over 10 years, and have always found them to be very much on the ball, and more importantly realistic. A lot of agents in the area will try and convince you that you can get sky-high rental income, presumably to justify their substantial fees. The net result is often that properties lie dormant for months on end whilst you wait for someone to bite. The longest period a property has been empty with Whitehouse has been 3 weeks, and that in itself was a rarity, with new tenants usually following on seamlessly from the last ones. I would recommend them to any potential landlord.

They say moving is the one of the most stressful events in your life and finding myself in this position earlier this year by having to sell my home, I approached Whitehouse for advice With their advice I put the property on the market and within no time at all we had offers.
