I'm a multiple property landlord currently moving my managed properties to other agents. Why?Management rate: at least 1.5% above rates offered by rival agents.Cost of gas safety with Romans £137 - cost from same contractor instructed privately £107.Cost of new Fridge freezer from Romans £415. Local Electrical store £340and saving the best to lasta new single built in oven £576, Local electrical store £210!!Why would I want to continue to pay someone to spend my money so efficiently. Very disappointed to see that such a big company could not offer any economies of scale.

Horrible company, they don't even deserve one star.I have had terrible experiences with Romans throughout the years. They always treated me as if I was a lower class person, failed to communicate with me or the landlord when promised and resolved issues very slowly. At one point they gave me the wrong date about the start of repainting the property and when I called them and asked where the painter was, they just said that he wouldn't come for another 3 weeks and that they forgot to inform me. They didn't even apologize for the fact that I have moved all the furniture and removed all the curtains to prepare the flat for the work in the middle of winter!! At the end of the tenancy, they kept changing the date of the checkout and tried to extend the contract with an extra month, despite me giving notice so that they wouldn't have to refund me. They also lost the invoice of the professional carpet cleaning and tried to accuse me of not cleaning the flat properly, which is absolutely ridiculous!!! It has been over 2 months and I haven't seen any refund or deposit. Their only mantra is that they're chasing the case, just to get rid of you on the phone. I would never recommend this agency to anyone because they lack honesty and respect and can't treat people as human beings.

I have used Romans for many years buying, selling and letting a number of properties through tem. I have always found them helpful and reliable. Most of all I have found the staff to be fair and honest, a must for me in this industry. My update to the previous review. Since this review I have had a few problems with this company when using the no deposit option for rentals. I have struggled to recover money owed with one deposit going through the arbitration service. Roman's did not cover my needs very well in the process and I ended up a few thousand out of pocket on one checkout. Others have been ok but it's always a bit difficult to recover losses. I will update again after the latest checkout and loss recovery..........

I have had the worse experience ever. My money was taken twice, after I complained the same garment was sent out again, of which, I refused to accept. This was well over a month ago. Whilst chasing the refund I was advised that they could see that I had refused the item a second time but would have to wait until it was receipted back in. I have made the observation that they know that I refused the second delivery made well over a week later and must insist on my refund. To date they just ignore my emails and I am still awaiting my refund. I buy regularly on line and have only experience shoddy service from this company only. I have retired item to other on line stores and have only had good experience and certainly never been charged twice with a garment sent out twice with over a week later. This seems to me like “ fast “ practice and should be frowned up. Please take heed when dealing with this company.

We were promised everything would be easy when selling our house through Romans. We had a very short chain, was told it would be quick and easy, 6-7 months later the purchase finally went through. We felt we had poor service, calls not being returned, we had to continually ring to find out what was going on with our sale and felt wrong information given all the way along. We had no help finding a property to go to as we felt once we signed the contract we didn't matter any more. As much as properties went on the market we were never informed of anything that would suit us it was left to us to look things up online. Hated the whole process with Romans and would never use them again.
