GoogleWe recently purchased our first property through Roger Coupe. James Britton was particularly helpful in obtaining historical planning information for the property and was very responsive to our solicitor throughout the process. While our direct interactions were limited, all staff we dealt with were courteous and professional.

GoogleBuyer beware. They will do anything including downright lying to gain a sale. 1. Give us your best and final then effectively asked 2x times for more money- lying through their teeth that the seller needed more for their onward purchase - not my problem. They accepted the original offer as soon as we booked viewings for other property's- I thought the buyer needed more money for their onward purchase? Don't ask for best and final is you don't know the definition of the word as it already ruins your credibility. 2. Arrogant tones during the sales process, wanting to rush things through like they were hiding something. Threatening to pull out of the chain and remarket - like the seller wasn't desperate to sell after it being on sale for 9 months. You're not the ones in a position of power here. 3. Keys on completion were the wrong ones. They fit in no lock. We had to burgle the house to gain access. 4. We were told on completion that the seller had attempted to remove fixtures included on the fixtures & fitting form and damaging the skirting- these items formed part of the sales contract, why were they attempted to remove? I believe that the estate agent is therefore colluding with the seller in this regard. Meanwhile, the seller left their waste and belongings whilst removing items included in the legally binding fixtures form. As we initiate legal proceedings against the prior owner - please be mindful as a buyer to treat the transaction from these agents as nothing more than a cash grab. Do not believe what they say. Do not rush the transaction. Do take time for 3+ viewings if need be. Hold everyone accountable to their contractual obligations.
We were shocked and sorry to receive such a negative review from you with regards your purchase. I appreciate there were frustrations during the course of the transaction with differing opinions from the solicitors on some of the legal aspects. From reviewing correspondence we note at the time of the negotiation there was not an issue and that it was great news that your offer had been accepted as the seller had been able to negotiate on her onward purchase, facilitating this. As there was a chain above our client there were other people in the transaction and by virtue after nearly five months from the sale being put in place, pressures from the chain above started to filter down to our client which were then relayed to you. From what you have advised the property was not left in an acceptable state and some items that you believed should have stayed had been removed and this must have been distressing. Please appreciate that we are not party to the fixtures and fittings form between the buyer and seller therefore can’t comment on this and feel it is wrong to be blamed in any way for the state a property is left in. With regards to the keys on completion day, we released to you the front door key that we had used for all our viewings, unfortunately the seller had mistakenly double locked the front door and put that key through the letter box without advising us of this. We appreciate that purchasing a property can be a stressful process, so we try to assist where possible to help relieve this. Having said this, we are always looking for ways to improve our service and will reflect on how your journey could have been better.

GoogleI can’t believe how amazing our experience was with Roger Coupe! I think we are all well aware of the bad rep estate agents have in this country and for the most part that rep is absolutely correct in my experience after buying several properties over the last 30 years. However this was what can only be described as the perfect purchase experience thanks to the incredible knowledge, care, communication and attention to detail of the team at Roger Coupe. Kieran and Jo were so brilliant it was like having a hi end property purchase concierge team working on our behalf and nothing was too much for them. I also have to give James a shout out he was always lovely on the phone and so responsive. Finally a massive thankyou to you all this was not a straight forward chain and your expertise, patience and understanding was nothing short of brilliant we can’t thankyou all enough. If you are looking to buy or sell a property in this part of Surrey do not waste your time going to another agent rest assured Roger Coupe is the only place you should park your trust they really do care!!

GoogleI would just like to say a massive "thank you" to Edward, Liz and the rest of the team for their very kind support during these last six or seven months of selling what was our family home. We bought our lovely home from Edward in 2006 and were very happy in Ifold until sadly I lost my husband to cancer in 2012. Edward supported me with valuations for Probate, and also before I relocated, with valuations and advice, to Norfolk. Edward and his team have been so kind as it has been an emotional rollercoaster and I'm so pleased that our family home is now going to be loved by another family. I have nothing but praise for the service and also the kindness during what has been a very difficult time for me - it's severing one of the last links with my late husband. The kind and positive comments have been a god-send in what would otherwise have been a very painful process as it has been very long and drawn out! The professionalism shown by Edward and his team is matched by their kindness and support and their tenacity. A huge heartfelt thanks, Edward!

GoogleJames, Edward and team have been outstanding in helping us make our move to Rudgwick. It has been a more complex than average move, taking 10 months, but Roger Coupe’s overall professionalism and friendliness has made us feel taken care of and well informed throughout. Where our sale fell through, they supported us on the journey to find another superbly. Although we have not sold through them, should we ever have to move again, they would be my first choice, without hesitation.

From our perspective: - Our client asked us to remarket the property as you had lost your purchaser, during the time of re-marketing they received an offer from a new buyer and accepted this. You were kept informed of what was happening and whilst I appreciate the scenario must have been very frustrating for you I don't feel labelling us crooks, 8 months after the event, is pleasant or fair.

GoogleWe chose Roger Coupes to market our parents' property when they both had to go into a local nursing. Edward and all the staff were very attentive and extremely helpful. Luckily the house sold really quickly, and although we had a hiccup or two along the way, the sale went through. I would have no hesitation in using Roger Coupes to sell our own property, which we intend to do next Spring!!!
